Thanks my friend. I've been using this for 3 weeks. I have to say this is a snappy joyful beautiful portable working machine for me. Arc GPU and build quality is almost a direct competitor to Macbook Air's level. I came from Dell with Intel UHD, so this is a massive upgrade. Battery and Screendoor effect on white images are the only the downside, other than that it is perfect. My battery drops maybe 12% per hour on light use, but it's ok, long enough for me as working laptop always plugged in. About the price, you got totally ripped off at $1900. That money could get you a loaded MacPro. I lucked out at bestbuy openbox and guess how much I paid? $700. That is a deal of the year for sure. Personally, any windows laptop don't hold resale values, so I would never buy them above $1000, only MacBook Pro worth big bucks. Cheers.
Hi Marco. Thanks for the detailed feedback and yes, you are right my friend...this was an expensive laptop for me. I wasn't all that happy with the battery life but the performance and build quality was top notch. I eventually ended up selling this laptop and will look for a newer model from Asus or perhaps Lenovo. I already have a 16 inch M1 Pro macbook pro for my editing and media work. I've got the same model as you - it's a nice machine, but like you said the battery life has been disappointing for me. I'm tempted to sell it and save myself some money by getting the new M4 mac mini and just using a desktop computer and my iPad mini as my portable device.
Yes you are right. As good as the laptop is ...it's spoilt by a mediocre battery life. You could also check the Snapdragon X Elite offerings. Battery life is wayy better but there are some app compatibility issues. But of course the M4 Mac Mini would be awesome for sure 👍😊
