When I was in High School, a friend started pushing the broom with the janitors. he lucked into a job there at age 17, under the "early bird program" (work half a day, go to high school half a day). I also got two degrees, because I wanted to earn more money then a janitor. Much to my shock, it took me 17 years to make more then he made. Turns out, I had very little understanding of what he actually did. he actually took courses, to learn how things in the building work. But, after 17 years, I was at a party with him, and was excited to tell him I was finally making more them him, thus life was finally fair. He told me he could retire in 3 years, with 20 years of experience.

The mainstream teaches us to work most of our life for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. i.e. Financial Advisor: "You need 2 million dollars before you can retire". You:" I'll need to work and invest for 30 years." This way of thinking benefits certain entities. Think passive income, not pot of gold. It will allow you to retire a lot earlier and simultaneously grow a pot of gold
(if you plan and spend correctly).

Well this does a good job of explaining phase 1 - Making money but as my book says "making money is easy keeping it is the hard part" because once you have it everybody else wants to take it from you starting with the government. This brings in that group he was talking about the other experts to help you along the way. Good luck to all.

Separate want from need. Most things you don't need.
Live below your means. Save the rest or invest it. 75 to 80% of your means is a good start. Don't get in the habit of living on all or more than you make. Investing 15 to 25%is a good start.
Separate saving from investing. Save for cars, houses, education. Invest for your future. Start investing early in stocks you are happy to own cull the rest. Dividends.
Few professionals can ever sell enough of their time to become rich. Only a few people at the top of the heap become rich with just a job.
Big companies pay big money and some can become comfortably well off as an employee there. However you never know if you will last.
Selling people time can make money and so can selling things but selling both at the same time makes the most money.
Always be nice and stay away from people who are toxic.
Work hard, long and smart. It is better if you love what you do.

Late capitalism is predicated on drastically underpaying labor, to make the kind of hyper-profits that will satisfy their stockholders. Short of labor overthrowing the rule of capital the only way to be sure of a secure retirement is having at least a half dozen income streams and using compound interest to "snowball" those earnings.

Please note that your examples of rich people are misinformed and immediately put me off the content. Please research your quoted individuals more intensely, before you use them. BG did not get rich through tech knowledge, does not in any manner fund clean water and vaccines through altruistic feelings of philantrophy and definitely is not the poster child that people should strive to be.
Please note that I do not oppose Musk's business savvy and expertise and believe that he could be a rather decent example.
Therefore, I do not challenge or oppose all your examples, but I do have some serious issues with others and BG is not the only one. PS! I have watched several of your videos and enjoy them, save for the examples used.

When you wake up you may find the wealthy subjects you showcase in your presentation made the bulk of their money nefariously. The fortunes they possess cannot be legally earned in so short a time.

  • @paulr.swartz5116

Money is not wealth. Products and activities that support life are wealth. Developing a product's value creates wealth. Buyers and sellers trade/barter (agree on value equality) and they determine product value. Money is a convenience to barter unrelated products for other products. Excessive currency volume in circulation inflates prices and does not change the intrinsic value of goods and services (products). But it does confuse those who view money as wealth. They think that because they handle more money or debt they have wealth. Thieving political leaders thrive on the mistaken concept that all leaders have their supporter’s well-being as a priority. Political leaders do not create products but can enable or disable those who do and can take advantage. Government overreach is inhibiting the ability of those who actually do the work of supporting a financial life. Remember the Creator is in control and not these demons. Activities that are in harmony with the Creator’s principals support a wealthy life.

I can tell you from knowing and meeting numerous millionaires, this idea the video creator has that rich people are actually more generous is false. You've shown ONE example and a person who did something good after being a Billionaire. And used a small fraction of his wealth at that point.
I have seen far more generosity from people who are in the lower and middle class than I ever have from people very well off or rich. However, rich people THINK they are generous. They think YOU are lucky THEY gave you a job, because YOU would have nothing without them. Rather than being grateful they have people who are willing to work hard to make them money. I was raised in a working class family and town, I am a multi-millionaire myself now. I can tell you that the more rich people I have been exposed to the more interestingly disgusted I am by a lot of them (not all of them).
So sorry, not buying this idea that rich are generous. They use people but SEE it as them being generous. It's a sick mentality.

    • @tomm8025
      @tomm8025 3 роки тому

@@bettermentboss - Well of course you do, you created the video and expressed your view within it. But to truly understand where that view is coming from, I would have to ask what your background is? If you grew up wealthy, you were not only taught differently about money, but raised to think a certain way that is different than the working class and middle class.
The rich people I know who think they are generous when they are not, I truly don't think realize what they lack in substance. They often look down on lower classes without even realizing they do it. I just have an advantage and view from being exposed to both, which not a lot of people do.
So other than the ONE example you listed (and I could likely state some things Elon Musk did as a second), can you give some real life examples of how rich people are truly generous?
