    he emphasis on the "little" things like snap purchases, outdoor coffees, and even video games really puts into perspective how quickly small expenses can add up.
    And don't get me started on the unnecessary insurance and excessive phone plans!
    It's a stark reminder that every dollar counts and that we often overlook the daily habits that drain our wallets. This video is a wake-up call to be more mindful of where our money goes.

      @@bettermentboss i worked 2/3 of my life at a family owned convenience store. Parents still own it. I've seen how much people throw down on PowerBall and scratch its. Even those on welfare and food stamps. People waiting nearby for their mail to arrive to get their welfare check to cash and buy scratch it lottery tickets. Still good people, but still people that needed to wise up.
      Then there is the lost revenue on the retail side. The store barely makes pennies on the dollar. Not worth the money to pay an extra person due to the increase traffic from a record jackpot.

    These all make sense, except the wrong education caveat. There is no such thing as a wrong education. With a college degree, a person will make more money throughout their lifetime, regardless of the major. I for one probably have what society considers "useless." However, my income doubled with the first out of college job I obtained....and I graduated at 42 years old!

Money can be lost, squandered, and spent, an education is forever:) If gender studies is your speciality and an organization needs that area expertise (especially these days), it would help someone get a job. Most people with an education do ok, regardless of major.

    • @scottguitar8168
      @scottguitar8168 10 місяців тому +1

      There is definitely a wrong education. A degree in teaching simply won't produce the kind of income that learning a trade will. Good luck getting an engineer's job or working as a doctor with a degree in teaching. I know so many people with degrees that aren't being used, where they are working side by side with people without degrees making the same money. Many times when people are trying to decide on a degree, they look to the market place to see what degrees are in demand by prospective employers. Universities put out propaganda about college degrees to sell their product of college degrees. You can take the top earners, such as doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc to offset the bottom earners such as teachers, managers, journalists, etc to get an average that is higher than the average of people without degrees because in that average, many people are simply unskilled. However, if you remove unskilled labor from the average, skilled labor on average makes more than people with degrees without the burden of student loans.

      Meal prep on the weekends. Cook a large batch of a few different staple foods that will last you the week in the fridge, and mix and match them so you can have a variety of food.

      Btw to clarify by meal prep i do t mean gym bro almost inedible dry chicken and rice every day. I try to cook almost everything on eat and on average i spend $1.50 per meal including as much meat as i want. Get creative, there are tons of great cooking channels on yt like adam ragusea, ethan chlebowsku, kenji lopez alt, chef john. Another source of good ideas is look up food that ppl cooked during the great depression. Hope this helps

      One of my go to staple foods is teriyaki chicken. Chicken thighs are $1-2 a pound + plus the cost of rice, soy sauce, mirin, sake. Very cheap and very yummy. I also like adding roastedbroccoli or brussel sprouts too

    I literally put 0€ to my gaming hobby and STILL play games. How? I buy used games online or from thrift stores. I even buy lots of games, sell of what I dont need and keep the rest. Profit I make from these is then used to buy new games. I play for free.

    For video gaming and hobbies the killer is buying what you do not have time to engage in. FOMO is real and people bury themselves in vinyl records, tcgs, plastic miniatures that come unassembled and unpainted, and of course the Gachapon games and microtransactions.
