I'm glad you made this video. I was raised Mormon and sadly they teach a form of Tritheism. So I always thought Jesus was literally God's Holy Son... like a separate spirit or separate person with His own soul. It's been soooo hard to unlearn. The amount of crying I've done 😭😭😭 but I'm getting there. Unlearning a foundational doctrine is hard! Especially when you're house has already been built and is up and running on that foundation. I literally have to pick the house up off the foundation without demolishing it, fix the crack in the foundation and set it back down. Thank you for your video. It's helping me understand more.
The trinity should be defined as the Father, the Word of God and the Spirit of God. It might be less confusing for many who see a son as being created.
When Jesus came out of baptism, both he and John saw the heavens open and heard God the father say “ this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased” show some respect of our father in heaven and his son Jesus Christ
@@boardtodeath46, yes the eternal Word of God manifested in flesh as Son of God. No problem with that, as I've said it confuse some people to think the Word was created or came into existence which is not the case.
How do you explain John 14:27-30 27 “What I am leaving with you is shalom - I am giving you my shalom. I don’t give the way the world gives. Don’t let yourselves be upset or frightened. 28 You heard me tell you, ‘I am leaving, and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would have been glad that I am going to the Father; because the Father is greater than I. 29 “Also, I have said it to you now, before it happens; so that when it does happen, you will trust. 30 “I won’t be talking with you much longer, because the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me; 31 rather, this is happening so that the world may know that I love the Father, and that I do as the Father has commanded me. “Get up! Let’s get going! Jesus states the Father is greater than him, not equal. And he does commands which the Father tells him to do, so again, the Father is greater.
In I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the Lord, who does all these things. Isaiah 45:5-7, He states there is no other than Him, so is HE mistaken here?
he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen. I Timothy 6:15&16 And here HE states "who alone"?
Are you confused because Jesus says "My Father is greater than I" ? It is very simple actually.. Jesus for one does not say that the Father is better than Him, And while Jesus was on earth "as a man" God was "at that time" Greater in that the Father was not confined to a mortal body.. So yes when Jesus said that the Father was Greater, in power, While Jesus was human he relinquished His power "Philippians' 2 5 Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men; 8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross. Very good video well done and absolute truth, SIDE BAR: God created man in His image (body, soul and spirit) The spirit fills the body with life and the body becomes a living soul, the soul tells the body what to do; unlike God our soul and spirit don't always agree. and our body winds up in places it ought not to be i.e. sin. That would be a whole other video on how, what, when and why salvation works. 😇
The Trinity is false doctrine. When Jesus was baptized, the Father spoke from heaven, and the Spirit landed on his shoulder as a dive. They are 3 separate but one in purpose. John 17:21-23
Your explanation of the Angel of the Lord is one that I've heard, but there is no completely understood and widely accepted explanation. A lot of people take issue with Jesus being called an angel. Some people say the Angel of the Lord is the Holy Spirit rather than Jesus, which has the same problem. Some people say it's a 4th aspect of God, separate from the three of the Trinity, that doesn't interact with the world at the moment and isn't called to be worshipped as part of the Christian faith. And some people say it's an angel temporarily imbued or accompanied with the presence of God, which might explain why it sometimes appears as two men. I like that explanation the best, and I go as far as to suggest that it's Lucifer before his fall. I have reasons for that, but a lot of people don't accept them. Bottom line, the most important thing with the Trinity is to accept that it isn't understood and leave it not understood. We can each decide for ourselves the most acceptable way to explain it, but none of those are perfect, and as soon as we say our way is THE way, it causes divisions and strife. Man shouldn't seek to pin down what God leaves ambiguous.
I believe God is Omnipresent Omniscient Omnipotent and Omni-attribute God can do whatever he wants God is everywhere invisible space eternal and God is all-polyvalent God had spoken to Moses on the burning Bush, and he also spoke to Moses inside the Tebernacle Which his spirit in the Tebernacle God possesses Jesus with the Flesh by the Spirit, I believe Jesus has no Soul, only Spirit in a special Man Body Also people point out Melchizedek is the pre-incarnate Christ God doesn't look like an Old man in the Sky by the Image of the Catholic painting
Make the first part complete, 1. GOD, 2. Spirit, 3. Voice/Word of the LORD In Genesis 1:3, Christ is there, you just don't see it because he is hiding in there. Genesis 3: "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." - Notice that God is speaking in this verse, remember that Jesus Christ is the Voice of the LORD, and the Words of the LORD Psalm 29:3: "The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD thunders over the mighty waters" - In this verse in Psalm David said that the voice of the lord was over the waters, so we know that it is not just the Spirit of the LORD that was there, and this verse is both a revelation and a prophecy..
Genesis 3: "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." John 1:6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. Genesis 3: "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

@andrevisser7542 Which 3 verses of which "Bible?" Could you be so kind as to write those verses here? Or are you one of those people who love giving cryptic advice, i.e. any advice that says nothing at all? _peace_
@@shukriyusof2104, nothing cryptic, since u tell us what is not in the Bible, I assumed u got one. Genesis 1:1-3 NASB1995 [1] In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [2] The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. [3] Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. In the beginning God - Elohim (plural) - created. The Spirit of God was moving - Holy Spirit. Then Elohim said - the Word of God. Exactly why Elohim later said "let US make man in OUR image and likeness".
@andrevisser7542 Let us get at least one fact right. And that is: It is not I who said *it is not in the Bible* but please watch the video and listen to what the guy is saying in the first few minutes into the video! Please tell me... how many hundreds, if not thousands, of years after the revelation that the layman are *permitted by the clergy* to read & study the Bible? _peace_
@andrevisser7542 You quoted Genesis 1:1-3 NASB1995: [1] In the beginning God created the heavens and earth... And your interpretation goes like, _"In the beginning God - Elohim (plural) -created"_ So, basically you are proposing that your early religious scholars have incorrectly translated the *plural* form Elohim to just the singular God, correct? So, going by your interpretation & translation, the first verse should be read as *_"In the beginning the Gods/Trinity created the heavens & earth!"_*
God is Holy (Lev 11:44, 19:2), God is a Spirit (John 4:24): God = the Holy Spirit. When God spoke into our universe a WORD; a “breath” of His Spirit “proceeded forth and came from Him” (John 8:42) and became in fact His SON through whom everything was created. (Hebr. 1:2, Col 1:16, John 1:3) This Son of course was the same Holy Spirit that is God, but manifested in our universe. It was this entity that was incarnated more than 2000 years ago as (the soul of) Jesus Christ, the image of God on Earth: the Messiah. He was born in human form and was tempted and tested like all the rest of us, but He was victorious and He made the Sacrifice (Isa 53 Ps 22) that saves all who would follow Him and do as He says. The amount of Spirit that was incarnated in the body of Jesus is therefore called "the Son", “the Word” or “Son of God" and the Christ. The infinite part of the Spirit that "remained in Heaven" is called the Father. The Holy Spirit of God the Father dwelled in Jesus. In the body, Jesus had His own personality but His soul is Spirit of God. Also, because He was human, Jesus prayed to God as all humans are supposed to do. As a man, Jesus had His own personality but His soul is Spirit of God. There's no difference. It's like when you scoop a glass of water from a well. It's still the same water but in a different vessel. Holy Spirit; Father and Son. That's how the three are ONE. That which is conceived in her (Mary) is from the Holy Spirit”. (Matthew 1:20) The holy Child shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:35) "I proceeded forth and came from God". (John 8:42, 16:28) “The Lord is the Spirit”. (2Cor 3:17) "Jesus Christ is LORD". (Phil 2:11) “I and my Father are ONE”. (John 10: 30), but “My Father is greater than I”. (John 14:28) “The Father (the Holy Spirit/God) who abides in me, He does the works”. (John 14:10) “If ye knew me (my soul), ye would know my Father also”. (John 8:19)
I wonder why there is not a single scripture in the entire Bible that actually says that God is three persons in one essence. Indeed, the language of essence/substance is not the language of the Bible, but the language of Greek philosophy which might give us a clue as to the real origin of this doctrine. Although it is admitted that the Bible does not actually reveal the Trinity as a defined doctrine, it is claimed that the doctrine is revealed progressively. And yet, nowhere do we find Jesus or his disciples introducing or defending such a doctrine. Rather, as historians know, the doctrine is a later post-apostolic teaching that adherents anachronistically project back into scripture. So, let's look at the reasoning in the video : Part 1: The claim that elohim hints a comlexity in God's unity from the very start is specious. The Jews had no concept of a triune God and the idea was unknown to Moses and the prophets. The book of Genesis is part of the Jewish BIble and yet we are to believe the Jews were ignorant of the God they worshipped. The term elohim is applioed to Moses and singular pagan gods. The use of singular personal pronouns and verbs identifies God as a singular entity. And how can Gen 1 :2 possibly be the introduction of a second entity when the video claims it is not separate from God and is in fact just a description of God's presence or power. How does God's power become a second person ? There is no hint of biunity. Part 2 : We are told that the Angel of the Lord /Yaweh's angel is not in fact an angel or messenger sent by God to proclaim his word, but is in fact the pre-incarnate Christ. The video maker has no understanding of the Law of Agency! How this leads to Isaiah 9 :6 is beyond me. Again, the content creator gives no historical or theological background as to whom the prophet actually addressed these words, or to the fact that the Septuagint renders the verse somewhat differently or even to the fact that the term 'God' has a range of meanings in the Bible and that the term is applied to the likes of Moses; Hebrew Kings; Judges; angels - even the devil. But then again, why let some facts get in the way of a good story. A possible messianic prophecy is a far cry from a Trinity proof text. Part 3: Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. This claim actually makes Jesus one other than God. As usual, thr video maker begins with John 1 :1 where Jesus is not actually mentioned. However, if the 'Word' is a title for Jesus, perhaps we can ask who is the God he is with ? Nowhere does Jesus claim to be the second person of a Trinity. Indeed, throughout the NT, we read about Jesus praying to and worshipping his God. Jesus was a Jew. Which God did he worship ? The baptism of Jesus only mentions the Father in heaven, the Son on earth and the spirit descending upon him. Nowhere does it even suggest that these three are part of a co-equal, co-eternal Trinity. This is simply an example of projecting a presupposed belief on to the text and making it say what you want it to say. And when did the spirit become a 'person '? Do we have any OT text where the Jews say the spirit is a separate person ? The claim that the baptism account shows three 'persons' acting in harmony is still a far cry from claiming that they are all 'persons' of the one God essence. Part 4 : Where is there a command to 'worship' the spirit or to even pray to the nameless third 'person'? Baptism "in the name of" simply means baptism by the authority of e.g. "open in the name of the law." John baptised people but not by the authority of the messiah or by means of the spirit. Now, new disciples were being baptised in the name of Jesus in recognition that he was the messiah and as a result, the spirit would be poured out on them. The claim that the spirit must be associated with personhood ignores how the spirit is described throughout the Bible and ignores the concept of personification. Part 5: Worship. The Biblical meaning of the word 'worship' is not even discussed and instead, we are taken to a single verse that can and is understood differently. Indeed, the entire purpose od the gospel of John is not to show that Jesus is God, but instead, as the next few verses indicate, to show that he is the Christ, the Son of God. To Jews, this indicated that he was one other than God Almighty or the Lord God, terms that are never applied to Jesus in the gospels or Epistles. In Paul's blessing at 2 Cor 13 :14, Paul actually differentiates the Lord Jesus from God as he does in all his greetings when he sends greetings from two (never three), the Lord Jesus and the Lord God. He even explains that one is the God of the other. (2 Cor 1 :3) This really is the Trinity for dummies !
Well done! Though Jesus (Son of God with divine nature, who existed prior to creation of current heavens/earth) and the Angel of the Lord (extremely significant angelic being that's a divine messenger, created in current heavens/earth) are two separate entities. God the Father and Jesus dwell in the 3rd heaven and God the Father interacted with humans via angels, His presence, when humans in dream state, casting lots, etc. Similar to how when Jesus was in human form and he didn't start his ministry until he was approximately 30 years old, Jesus didn't interact with humans until he came to Earth in human form many, many years after the creation of the current heavens/earth.
@@Liz_Langer Sure! Jesus: The Son of God with Divine Nature: 1) Preexistence of Jesus: - John 1:1-3: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." - John 8:58: "Before Abraham was born, I am." (Jesus identifies Himself with the eternal "I Am" of Exodus 3:14.) - Colossians 1:16-17: "For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible... all things have been created through him and for him." 2) Jesus as God Incarnate: - John 1:14: "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father." Angel of the Lord: A Divine Messenger (a significant angelic being who speaks on God’s behalf but is not equated with Jesus): 1) A Created Being: - Hebrews 1:4-5: "So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, 'You are my Son; today I have become your Father'?" - Psalm 148:2-5: Angels are part of creation, "Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created." 2) Distinct from Jesus: - Matthew 1:20-21: An angel (not Jesus) delivers the message of Jesus’ birth. - Hebrews 2:5: "It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking." 3) Examples of Angel of the Lord Interactions: - Genesis 16:7-12: The Angel of the Lord speaks to Hagar. - Exodus 3:2: The Angel of the Lord appears in the burning bush but speaks on behalf of God. The Bible shows that God the Father interacted with humanity indirectly through various methods: 1) Angels: - Genesis 19:1-29: Angels are sent to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah and deliver Lot’s family. - Judges 6:11-12: The Angel of the Lord appears to Gideon. 2) His Presence (Theophanies): - Exodus 3:2-6: God appears to Moses through the burning bush. - Exodus 33:18-23: God’s glory passes before Moses, but His face is not seen. 3) Dreams: - Genesis 28:12-15: Jacob’s ladder dream reveals God’s promise. - 1 Kings 3:5: God appears to Solomon in a dream, granting him wisdom. 4) Casting Lots: - Proverbs 16:33: "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord." - Joshua 18:6-10: Casting lots is used to divide the land among the tribes. 5) Prophets: - Hebrews 1:1: "In the past, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways." Jesus Did Not Interact with Humans Before His Incarnation (The Bible consistently shows Jesus’ earthly ministry as beginning after His incarnation): 1) The Incarnation as a Starting Point: - John 1:14: "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." - Galatians 4:4: "But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman." 2) Jesus’ Earthly Ministry Began at Age 30: - Luke 3:23: "Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry." 3) Jesus as the Only Mediator in the New Covenant: - 1 Timothy 2:5: "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus." 4) Why Jesus Did Not Appear in the Old Testament: - The Old Testament covenantal framework relied on mediators like angels, priests, and prophets. Jesus’ physical coming fulfilled the need for a perfect mediator (Hebrews 8:6-13). 5) Jesus’ Role in Creation: - While Jesus existed before creation (John 1:1-3), He did not physically interact with humanity until His incarnation. Quick Summary comparison of Jesus and the Angel of the Lord: 1) Nature: - Jesus: Eternal, divine (John 1:1; Colossians 1:16-17) - Angel of the Lord: Created, angelic (Hebrews 1:4-5; Psalm 148:2-5) 2) Role: - Jesus: Savior, Redeemer, Creator (John 3:16; Colossians 1:17) - Angel of the Lord: Divine messenger, representative of God 3) Interaction with Humans: - Jesus: Began at incarnation (John 1:14; Luke 3:23) - Angel of the Lord: Interacted with humans in the Old Testament (Genesis 16:7-12; Exodus 3:2) 4) Dwelling Place: - Jesus: In the third heaven, until incarnation (John 1:14) - Angel of the Lord: Functions in heaven and earth as a messenger Hope that helps!
Genesis states that man was created in God''s image so if we understand what man is created from then we can know God. Gen 2:7 says man was created from dust (body) and God's breath (spirit) and man became a living soul. Not given a soul but is a soul. The totality of man is a soul. A living, breathing and understanding being or a person. So if we understand that is what a man is then that is what God is. Spirit and body. God the father (soul) is made up of body (Jesus) and spirit (holy ghost) that is all. This would negate any doctrine of a trinity. The trinity doesn't make sense because it states father is spirit, holy ghost is spirit and Jesus is body. Why two spirits?
The true identity of Jesus is "the Messiah, *Son* of the Living God." Matthew 16:16 Trinitatian theology is anti the messiah in that it inverts the rock 🪨 of the true identity of God's Christ by creating the fictional non entity "god the son." Pagan philosophy won't enlighten or save -only the doctrine of Christ.
The Trinity for those steeped in ancient History.. The reason for the mystery is that it is an Egyptian prayer, a very specific one, and old world Christians thought that by altering the spelling and pausing they could give it new meaning and thats why you children are so confused " say it without pausing. This may not even sound like a genuine question, but it is: Are you ALRIGHT??? “Amen” means “so be it”. Claiming it has roots with Egyptian myths is like flat earth believers claiming NASA is deceiving us because “nasha” (pronounced ‘nashaw’) means “to deceive” in Hebrew even though it’s only meant to be an acronym.
The Catholic Church was established by Jesus Christ in 33AD. With the authority he conferred on it, and with divine guidance from the Holy Spirit who revealed ONE truth, the Catholic Church dogmatised the Trinity in 325AD to fight heresies similar to what I see in these comments. With this same authority from Jesus, the Catholic Church assembled the Bible over centuries and canonised it in 382AD. It is its SOLE infallible interpreter. If you don’t agree with the Catholic Church then reject the Trinity and the Bible. They are both Catholic.
You are grossly misinformed. The Catholic Church did not exist until the 4th century, learn the real facts not the Church version. The Catholic Church is PAGAN, it's doctrines, traditions, rituals and observances are taken from pagan religions and Jesus had nothing to do with it. The trinity is garbage. A doctrine Satan loves. My favorite argument against it is by Ernest L. Martin: In all his salutations in all his epistles not once does Paul mention the Holy Spirit and the one time he does at the end of 2nd Corinthians it's merely the COMMUNION of the Holy Spirit. Gee Paul, how disrespectful. No trinitarian has yet to even address let alone refute this issue. Plus, this so-called Person is not named, you know, like Yahweh, Jehovah, Jesus. Finally, the Holy Spirit is given a definition in Luke 1:35: the power of the MOST high. Lastly, I know this doctrine is hyper orthodox, but if Noah Caleb and Joshua teach us one thing it's that being orthodox is no guarantee of salvation.
You have a very wrong view on this. First these persons don't need names. Second the name of God YHWH is shared by all 3. That means we don't know the name of the father if he even has his own. Third, the name Jesus was given when he became human. In summary, names are not essential for God, can even change for humans and are not an issue for the Trinity.
May Lord rebuke you. Acts 5:1-5 say Ananias lied to Holy Spirit who is God. Scripture clearly say Holy Spirit is God and you keep writing heretical things.
Usually persons have names. Where in Scripture is the Holy Spirit referred to as Yahweh? In the original? As, as expected, Paul is not addressed. I wonder why?@Amperiyan
@@mmr1137And yet, Paul would then be being very disrespectful. Please address this issue: In ALL his salutations in ALL his epistles not ONCE does Paul mention the Holy Spirit. Come on people!

@Amperiyan Jesus called the father because He was in the state of the son (a human being so that He can be crucified; the Spirit could not be crucified ). The Bible also states all the fullness of God dwells in Him; Jesus was 100% God and 100% human being, it just depends on which side of Him are you asking. So as a son like all sons, he had to have a Father which is the Spirit. It's a mystery, 1Tim3:16. Remember, Mary conceived the child of the Holy Spirit? Does it mean the Father of Jesus is the HolySpirit? If so, then does He have two Fathers? The Holy Spirit and the Father? He also states that He came in His Father's Name, which father between the two? Thomas addresses Him as my Lord and my God; Jesus is God who manifested Himself in various ways to fulfill His purpose according to His Agenda.
@bibledays1 I am sorry but this is Al lot of nonsense. When Jesus was baptized the holy Spirit came down on Hime and a voice came from heaven. Jesus sits on the right side of his father. All of the scripture tells us, that these are different perons.
I don't believe in the Trinity. God is the almighty. Jesus is His only begotton son. Jesus himself said that the Father is greater than him. (John 14:28). There is one God, and there is one who brings God and mankind together, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus is our only Saviour without whom we are doomed. The Holy Spirit is God's working power. 🎉
You’re doomed for hell and you’re not a Christian if you don’t believe Jesus is God. 1. Greater in role, The Father creates, The Son redeems and The Holy Spirit guides 2. Paul was arguing that intercessions is Biblical and gave an example with Jesus interceding for us
Holy Spirit is God. Acts 5:1-5 Ananias didn't lied to Jehovah. Didn't lied to Jesus. He lied to Holy Spirit who is God. Read the scripture not JW brainwashing stories.
3 Persons = 3 centre's consciousness = 3 beings = 3 Gods = Tritheism. This is not Biblical. GOD is One (Deuteronomy 6:4). God is one manifest in 3 forms. Father is Spirit. Son is the same Spirit manfest in Flesh. Holy Spirit is just the active Spirit of God.
@christfollower58 3 Persons by default always means 3 Beings. FORMAL DEFINITIONS ➡️ Definition of BEING = Anything that lives or exists ➡️ Definition of PERSON = A being with consciousness, rationality, and self-awareness (Oxford English Dictionary) ➡️ By DEFAULT therefore 3 persons = 3 beings
@mlwilliams4407 You and me both share the exact same human nature and essence, but we are still two separate humans. So just because the Father and Son share the same divine nature or essence DOES NOT make them One God. They are One because the Father and Son the SAME Spiritual Person. They just manifest in different ways. GOD is Omnipresent so he does not have to become 3 separate persons with 3 separate centre's of consciousness and personalities. The Trinity Doctrine is a man made Model formalised in the 4th Century, at the Nicean and Constantinople councils.
@@grahamtopfuel You currently believe God is one person manifesting in three forms (e.g. modalism)? If yes, for scripture (especially Jesus's baptism) to be true, God would have a split (into three) personality. Is that what you're saying? Honestly asking.

God doesn't help someone spread lies about him, the trinity is a disgusting blasphemous LIE.
That's quite a good way of putting it, I like that.
In Genesis 18, God appeared to Abraham and Sarah as 3 men. Behold, O chickens, the egg 🥚 is one.

How do you explain John 14:27-30
27 “What I am leaving with you is shalom - I am giving you my shalom.

Amen. I Timothy 6:15&16
And here HE states "who alone"?
Are you confused because Jesus says "My Father is greater than I" ? It is very simple actually.. Jesus for one does not say that the Father is better than Him, And while Jesus was on earth "as a man" God was "at that time" Greater in that the Father was not confined to a mortal body.. So yes when Jesus said that the Father was Greater, in power, While Jesus was human he relinquished His power "Philippians' 2

The Spirit of God was moving - Holy Spirit.
Then Elohim said - the Word of God.

@andrevisser7542 You quoted Genesis 1:1-3 NASB1995:
[1] In the beginning God created the heavens and earth...
And your interpretation goes like, _"In the beginning God - Elohim (plural) -created"_
So, basically you are proposing that your early religious scholars have incorrectly translated the *plural* form Elohim to just the singular God, correct?
(Matthew 1:20)
The holy Child shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:35)
"I proceeded forth and came from God". (John 8:42, 16:28)
“The Lord is the Spirit”. (2Cor 3:17)
"Jesus Christ is LORD". (Phil 2:11)
“I and my Father are ONE”. (John 10: 30), but
“My Father is greater than I”. (John 14:28)
“The Father (the Holy Spirit/God) who abides in me, He does the works”. (John 14:10)
“If ye knew me (my soul), ye would know my Father also”.
So, let's look at the reasoning in the video :
Part 1: The claim that elohim hints a comlexity in God's unity from the very start is specious.
(2 Cor 1 :3)
This really is the Trinity for dummies !
Hi, I'm curious to know what scriptures you base this view on.
@@Liz_Langer Sure!
Jesus: The Son of God with Divine Nature:
1) Preexistence of Jesus:
- John 1:1-3: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."
- John 8:58: "Before Abraham was born, I am." (Jesus identifies Himself with the eternal "I Am" of Exodus 3:14.)
- Colossians 1:16-17: "For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible... all things have been created through him and for him."
2) Jesus as God Incarnate:
- John 1:14: "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father."
Angel of the Lord: A Divine Messenger (a significant angelic being who speaks on God’s behalf but is not equated with Jesus):
1) A Created Being:
- Hebrews 1:4-5: "So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, 'You are my Son; today I have become your Father'?"
- Psalm 148:2-5: Angels are part of creation, "Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created."
2) Distinct from Jesus:
- Matthew 1:20-21: An angel (not Jesus) delivers the message of Jesus’ birth.
- Hebrews 2:5: "It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking."
3) Examples of Angel of the Lord Interactions:
- Genesis 16:7-12: The Angel of the Lord speaks to Hagar.
- Exodus 3:2: The Angel of the Lord appears in the burning bush but speaks on behalf of God.
The Bible shows that God the Father interacted with humanity indirectly through various methods:
1) Angels:
- Genesis 19:1-29: Angels are sent to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah and deliver Lot’s family.
- Judges 6:11-12: The Angel of the Lord appears to Gideon.
2) His Presence (Theophanies):
- Exodus 3:2-6: God appears to Moses through the burning bush.
- Exodus 33:18-23: God’s glory passes before Moses, but His face is not seen.
3) Dreams:
- Genesis 28:12-15: Jacob’s ladder dream reveals God’s promise.
- 1 Kings 3:5: God appears to Solomon in a dream, granting him wisdom.
4) Casting Lots:
- Proverbs 16:33: "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord."
- Joshua 18:6-10: Casting lots is used to divide the land among the tribes.
5) Prophets:
- Hebrews 1:1: "In the past, God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways."
Jesus Did Not Interact with Humans Before His Incarnation (The Bible consistently shows Jesus’ earthly ministry as beginning after His incarnation):
1) The Incarnation as a Starting Point:
- John 1:14: "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us."
- Galatians 4:4: "But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman."
2) Jesus’ Earthly Ministry Began at Age 30:
- Luke 3:23: "Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry."
3) Jesus as the Only Mediator in the New Covenant:
- 1 Timothy 2:5: "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus."
4) Why Jesus Did Not Appear in the Old Testament:
- The Old Testament covenantal framework relied on mediators like angels, priests, and prophets. Jesus’ physical coming fulfilled the need for a perfect mediator (Hebrews 8:6-13).
5) Jesus’ Role in Creation:
- While Jesus existed before creation (John 1:1-3), He did not physically interact with humanity until His incarnation.
Quick Summary comparison of Jesus and the Angel of the Lord:
1) Nature:
- Jesus: Eternal, divine (John 1:1; Colossians 1:16-17)
- Angel of the Lord: Created, angelic (Hebrews 1:4-5; Psalm 148:2-5)
2) Role:
- Jesus: Savior, Redeemer, Creator (John 3:16; Colossians 1:17)
- Angel of the Lord: Divine messenger, representative of God
3) Interaction with Humans:
- Jesus: Began at incarnation (John 1:14; Luke 3:23)
- Angel of the Lord: Interacted with humans in the Old Testament (Genesis 16:7-12; Exodus 3:2)
4) Dwelling Place:
- Jesus: In the third heaven, until incarnation (John 1:14)
- Angel of the Lord: Functions in heaven and earth as a messenger
Hope that helps!

You should be aware that Bible prophec y predicts Jesus will destroy the church at the tribulation, obviously he doesn't approve of it!
The apostles were not Catholics. They didn't teach Catholicism, and their beliefs were very different.
@@davidscott2809 Your silly opinion is in spite of the evidence, not because of it. What is your evidence?
Ignatius of Antioch 107AD: “Where the Bishop appears, there let the people be. Just as where JESUS CHRIST IS, there is THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.”
Scholars conclude that THE Catholic Church was named while the apostles were still alive. It was the only form of Christianity from the time of Jesus until THE Catholic Church canonised the Bible in 382AD. But seeing as you think the Catholic Church is false, then reject the Bible. It is a Catholic document.

Where's the holy spirit?
Alleluia! Might want to add Matthew 16:27 to your list:
"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works."
Jesus taught the Shema to be 1st of all commandments and neither he nor his Holy Apostles were trinitarians.
They were devout Jews.
Jesus and His Holy apostles are the only, authorized Christian authorities as Jesus was ordained by God and the apostles were ordained by Jesus.
In other verses.
Acts 5:1-5 Ananias did not lied to Father, didn't lie to Son, he Lied to Holy Spirit who is God as it is writen.
@@mmr1137 It doesn't say anything about the father or the son.
"You have not lied to men, but to God".
And the Holy Spirit comes from God according to Jesus in John 14.
16. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.
26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.
John 14:16, 17 and 26
King James 1999
"What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?"
1 Corinthians 6:19

God the Son and God the Holy Spirit is distinct according to Matthew 12:31-32.
make it simple. three god is one god.
Nope. One what is three who
The trinity is garbage. A doctrine Satan loves. My favorite argument against it is by Ernest L. Martin:
In all his salutations in all his epistles not once does Paul mention the Holy Spirit and the one time he does at the end of 2nd Corinthians it's merely the COMMUNION of the Holy Spirit.
It takes more mental gymnastics to believe God is three Persons than to believe God is just one.
God is one and His Name is Jesus and through His Spirit we are born again. There's no such as three persons.
Who is Jesus' father that he prayed to and returned to?
God is three in One!
@@kashmirandal6282 God is not just a father, son, or spirit, He is also a king, a husband, a counselor, does it mean He is now He is six? The trinity issue is not a Biblical teaching, but a religious one.
You’re saying Jesus is not GOD??
You’re doomed for hell and you’re not a Christian if you don’t believe Jesus is God.
1. Greater in role, The Father creates, The Son redeems and The Holy Spirit guides
2. Paul was arguing that intercessions is Biblical and gave an example with Jesus interceding for us
@@kashmirandal6282yes he says Jesus isn’t God which makes him a non Christian doomed for hell
@@raviperera50 My brother or sister in Christ, may God help you.
Holy Spirit is God. Acts 5:1-5 Ananias didn't lied to Jehovah. Didn't lied to Jesus. He lied to Holy Spirit who is God. Read the scripture not JW brainwashing stories.
another desperate stretch defending the trinity lie
Well done but I don't like the word dummies. God never created dummies sir but some people lack of knowledge.
“for dummies” basically just means “in layman’s terms”.
3 persons is NOT 3 beings
@christfollower58 3 Persons by default always means 3 Beings. FORMAL DEFINITIONS ➡️ Definition of BEING = Anything that lives or exists ➡️
Definition of PERSON = A being with consciousness, rationality, and self-awareness (Oxford English Dictionary) ➡️
By DEFAULT therefore 3 persons = 3 beings
@@grahamtopfuel Yes. They are three distinct, but completely united as one God (with one divine nature).
