From what we wear, to what we ride, and even what we bring along the way. Commuting looks many different ways and there's no one way to do it. Everyone's needs are different.
Consider clothing to be comfortable and prepared for the changes in weather, a bike that is safe and tuned and equipped with lights and fenders. We like to bring a multi-tool, a bike lock and a few other accessories to be prepared for any accidents that may happen.

I commute 5 miles each way 5 days a week, panniers hold a lot of groceries. So many positives. Not good for the car, as it never can get warmed up, and I need to last until my last days. You mentioned the attitude. So true. It’s only a 20 minute ride, I wish it were further, the ride is over too soon.

Get a class 3 ebike with full rack and fenders and the largest size battery you can get. Keeping up better with car traffic makes me for more comfortable on the road, and i can cover vast distances more comfortably.

Was gifted a Babymaker II. Less than a year later and ive put 1263 miles on it. And its f***in stellar.

Depending on if the kids are school age, in 2023, the wife and kids should be out doing their own thing too. I would hate to be stuck in the house ALL DAY by myself.
