Nice electrical. You're a pioneer in this work. I think now the new runaways have this electrical as an option but you did it first a long time ago on yours. Good stuff!
I've updated the description of the video to include links to the products I used for my build.
Thanks for posting the links. In the future it may well be great to have if I do puck up a Runaway. It all looks pretty clean and neat.
Great job! This is my favorite window covering so far. Great mods!
Thanks! We ran through several different ideas before deciding that was the best option for us. :)
I hope to buy the 4x8 model this year, so thanks for giving me so many good ideas. And so kind of you to post all the links, I'll be referring back to this in the future no doubt. Compliments on your good audio too.
Great mods. Keep us posted would love to hear how it works out and any additional mods you make.
all the basics are there. cool curtains! 🐟
thanks!
Appreciate the video. We are looking a Runaway this week.
Nice mods. We own the RangeRunner and we love it. I am looking to upgrade our electrical you have given me some good ideas.
Hey it's a great video. Please continue to share what you do with your Runaway. Hope your leg heals up great. Take care!
It is very nice... The extra effort to carpet your new shelves looks very nice... The window treatment is low profile and easy... I think it is time to go camping... 🤔
Thanks for the feedback! We are eager to take it out soon.
Matt thanks for posting this video, lot of great ideas in here. I pick up my runaway next week and plan of referencing this viddy for upgrade inspiration.
Thanks for the feedback and congrats on the new Runaway!
Sorry for the delay. Again you did a great job with the wiring. Ok here I go. We're did you get all the stuff from. The outside lights, fuse panel, battery monitor, dome light, cut off switch,
Thanks scott
Scott H I got the fuse panel, wiring, and cut off switch from Amazon. The lights were from rvparts.com. I can provide links, but cannlt do so until the weekend. If you do want them let me know.
I updated the description to include links to all the products I used. :-)
Matt J thanks for the update. Will be a big help, thanks
Scott H Your welcome. let me know if you have any questions.
Hey everyone. We hope to do a new video soon to show the new maxxair fan we installed. Stay tuned!
Wow, excellent work on the lighting and electrical system.
Wonderful! I hope your leg gets better soon.
Vents? Screen door? A cross breeze is great. I have a Teardrop and without the roof Fantastic fan and the two door screens it would be miserable. Now I don't have A/C but with the fan and the cross breeze its really not bad. Do you have condensation issues?
We are planning to make screens for the doors eventually, but haven't gotten around to it yet. we do get a little condensation, but not bad because we sleep with windows cracked. I plan to put in a fantastic fan, but haven't gotten around to it because I will have to fabricate a bracket to match the curve of the roof. thanks for the comment.
Nicely done! Pls post more videos. 😊
Thank you. Please feel free to recommend specific things you would like to see.
Where are you located in Texas? I am in the Wichita Falls area, myself. Did you pick up your runaway at the factory? The nearest dealership in up around Tulsa from here. I am very interested in the Ridge Runner, myself. Nice video.
I'm in California and bought it 1 year used from a lady that moved here from Florida. She basically used it to travel out here with and then sold it for half what she paid.
Good job on the video, nice to see up close since Runaway doesn't have too many videos to see. I'm close to ordering my RangeRunner. Where did you get the rack behind your battery box. Any advice on accessories you maybe should have got but didn't. Thanks.
We bought our camper 1 yr used from a lady local to us. She had the front rack installed as an option from the manufacturer. As far as accessories go, we have only been out 1 time so far and wish we had a roof vent fan. i will be researching them and installing one in the near future. i am sure we will find other things, but we will just add them as we go.
very nice set up...great work!
Needed this, thank you.
You're welcome. I recently did a vent fan install and a mural painting that I haven't gotten around to video of yet. If you have any questions ot need guidance please feel free to ask.
Thx for the tour
are you happy with the Noco Charger? I'm doing a similar build and i'm about to buy the charger.
I am very happy with the Noco charger. Very well built, no annoying humming, and doesn't generate hardly any heat. The model I got was the gen1 I think. It is a 10 amp charger and doea not overcharge. I dont leave it plugged in constantly, but rather plug it in every couple of months.
Tocber.com has the fuse block for $24.98 and 5 bucks for shipping, They take PayPal, too.
Lots of good ideas well done!
Thanks!
Stunning!
Thanks! The feedback is much appreciated.
Very well done, some great changes!! :)
thanks!
Wow, great job! Did you do a video of how you wired everything? Did you have to take the wood panels out or drill any holes?
Sorry. Wasn't really planning to put up a video when I did the mods, was a last minute decision. I did have to drill one hole through the floor in the corner to run to the battery, but it wasn't very big.
Very informative, thx
Well done
Thanks
Major upgrade on your electrical system. Very nice! What about bathroom/showers and your kitchen? #MJ
Thanks for the cpmment. We like dry camping and don't really care about having a bathroom or a shower. We almost always camp by water, so going for a swim is shower enough for us. As for the kitchen, right now we have a camp table and propane stove. I plan to build a table to go into the rear hitch on the trailer. It will fold down for travel and will be adjustable for height in case we use as a dining table.
Great mods!
Thanks!
Looking to buy such a trailer.
Pretty cool 😎
Thank you
Another question, how do you have the cables routed from the battery
They come out of the battery box, run on the underside of the frame rail wrapped in split wire loom, and them come up through the floor. I know you mentioned that you would like to talk sometime, so let me know if that is still the case. If so, I sent you an email a while back to your personal email so you should have mine. Respond with you number to that email and I will call when I get a chance. Thanks!
Matt J I tried several times to email ya but it kept coming back unsecsesfull. Can we try again Scott. inferno1959@gmail.com
how did you mount the LED lights?
Could you sleep sideways in this camper by any chance?
I am too tall to be able to sleep sideways, but my wife can and she is 5'8". She doesn't have much room at the end of her feet though. :-)
Thanks Matt, much appreciated.
What size camper is that
WOW! A light switch! WOW!
Not exactly sure what this comment is supposed to mean, but thanks for watching.
King?
Whaa ? you have to turn on the interior lites via the trailer tongue ckt btkr switch ? ... methinks u will be revising this option...lol
I think you are confused. You don't have to turn on interior lights from tongue. The switch in the battery box is a breaker to kill all power to everything hooked up. This way if I need to work on anything, I simply flick the kill switch and the fuse panel is dead. Also, I kill the power when storing so if anything is left on or if there is parasitic draw from anything the battery wont die.
All that wiring looks complicated. I wouldn’t have a clue.
It's really not that complicated. 😀 You could do it!
Walkway? How? On your knees? lmfao
Your padlock on your battery box is a Master lock. Not secure despite its appearance and nonsense on the packaging. You should get a real padlock if you haven’t already.
Lock is not meant to be theft proof. The way I look at it is if someone wants your stuff they will get it. I was just trying to make it annoying enough to make them pass on taking my stuff. Thanks for the feedback.
Pull your camera back farther.
Awesome job! Quality and sound were perfect!
Where did you get the dimmer light?
Here is the link to the light www.rvupgradestore.com/Interior-Dual-LED-Dome-Light-p/55-1092.htm. The dimmer module is sold individually and there are also modules for motion sensor or night light you can buy. Thanks!
Thank You!
