Oh man, that stinks bro. Sorry to see that. I’ve almost lost a Sonic wake when a cooling line came off and started filling up the boat. Same thing, I didn’t bring it back when it started noticeably slowing down with the extra weight. Luckily I got to it with just the nose peaking up. Since learned to ziptie my lines lol. Just last week too I was turning around for a run and for some reason just didn’t turn hard enough and ran ashore, bending up my prop. Sucks you lost the boat but we all do dumb stuff sometimes, don’t let it get ya down.
Sorry to see that boat sink ,that sucks I know the feeling my first modified boat a little one foot cigarette boat I've had sitting on the shelf for 15 years I just got back into boating now for 2 months so I put a little brushless motor in it no foam,I said I'll put foam I'm just testing it when I get home... It ran great way faster so I said let's put a bigger battery in it I ran it out turned and it rolled over . The person running the recovery boat pushed it too far down in the water and it filled with water and sank about 20 ft from the shore I think about it every time I take my boats out that it's sitting out there so I just ordered a casting net, I think I saw H2O have one I said that's a great idea I'm going to try to get my boat back haven't got it yet but if I were you I'd try that, that's way nicer boat than the one I lost.. I would like to get into LA and see your boats if you let people come by I'm in Riverside.. I just got today my : E22 DTRC Popeye hydro, lock tithing everything is 1:00 a.m. batteries are charged heading to the lake tomorrow it's great being retired an playing with boats... Full trigger full triggerr
That really sucks about your boat.. The net might works really well though! Hopefully you can get her back. That lake is literally a swamp.. The water is incredible corrosive.. Whatever is in there m is already garbage just after a day or 2.. Shit happens. I build my parts in my steel shop in Los Angeles. It's not a strofront unfortunately. For Saftey reasons we don't allow unauthorized people to walk through. I only have 3 boats for sale at the moment. Because I'm working on a version 2. (self righting) So I'm holding off on building new hulls until I get the v2 version dialed in. If you're interested in buying a boat from me. I'm more than happy to meet you Somehwere and show you the 3 I have for sale at the moment
PS..I haven't got the net yet to try to get my boat.. I hate the feeling that is out there all alone.. I've got to get it back to be with rest of my nine boats...
Don't forget number three no flotation that I know of. hate to hear you lost the boat I lost one many years ago only much bigger than that boat I didn't put flotation in mine what a dummy I was but the funny thing is it looked like the Titanic going down. On your next model I would add whatever flotation you can to counteract the weight it carries because I don't think what was on the sides worked
OMFG BUD!! WTF! I am so sorry that happened to you!! Did you learn a lesson? I hope so!! Even though it sucked, you now know what to not do!! Einstein said something similar when someone asked why he did something wrong 10,000x, he said he didn't do it wrong, he just learned what not to do!! Perspective!!
Coby , heart wrenching to see it sink .
Let’s get another one going . 👏👏
Yes sir.. Was tough to swallow.. But we'll build another.. What else can we do 🤷♂️

Unfortunately she was full of floatation. But you said it.. The key is to counteract the Wright of the hardware inside.
We live and learn.
