Thank you for this. I do chill solo smooth jazz sax with backing tracks for cocktail hours, house birthday parties, wedding proposals, retirement homes etc. However, pole-mounting my 30lb QSC CP12s are getting tough on my aging lower back. If I bought a pair of these Thump Gos, would I be able to bluetooth in my iPad backing tracks, then have both speakers play the tracks with no cord connection between them? (It seems they can't do XLR output to a sub or another speaker if bluetooth is coming in). Would it be loud enough for these lower-volume gigs? If you use AC power cord, does that change the volume or sound? Does that charge the internal battery?
@@tonylackie you're right about the volume of the mic compared to that of the music. In total, it's just the sound quality that I'm not fully satisfied. Bose S1 pro wins for me.
@@rrod6738 ok. Good to know it isn't just me then lmao. Since recording this review I've actually picked up a used JBL Eon Compact One...and I've been using that and the mic pres sound a lot louder

Great video, I'm looking between these MACKIE and the JBL PARTYBOX 110, which is for the home, I don't know which would be better
Which did you end up getting ?
i agree - when using my mixer and using it as a wedge i get way more volume. A One Dial Compressor would have been nice to push the channel a bit.
Great video!!! Is it louder than the Roland?
Do you have a Video Setting up the wireless mic with 2 Mackie Thump go ? and Maybe a tablet.
I got these. But I'm worried about xlr thru won't work when the input source is Bluetooth
I found the outdoor mode "tightened" the mids a bit... thats about it though, i just leave it on music or monitor. haha
I was a week away from ordering the Mackie thump go… but, then the everse 8 came out. I ordered the EV
Besides price difference, good move!
Thats the best choice right now men! Well done👍🏻
Doesn’t this speaker weigh like 17lbs? There’s no hauling lol
I ended up returning mine... and bought another Bose s1 pro.
What was the reasoning for returning it? Was it anything to do with any of the things I mentioned? Or something else?
