When plants have collapsed THIS MUCH, DON'T throw them away, they're not dead. Put the whole pot in a BIG container of water which COVERS the soil by OVER an inch. After bubbles have stopped rising from soil, take the plant out of the water, let excess water drain; gradually the leaves and stems "fill with water" and recover. 🌱🌾🌴
This video is *not* reversed. These are New Guinea impatiens which classically fall over and look dead when they go too long without water. When they are watered (if it's not too late) they bounce back remarkably quickly (within 12 hours usually).
I saw a plant just like that someone left outside, I obviously couldn’t restrain myself so I took the plant and “resurrected” it by taking care of it for a few weeks, then when it was back in good shape I felt like a necromancer. It was a lot of fun and I left a note on how to take care of it. I visited it again a week later to see they listened and it’s still healthy.
I was expecting some memes in the comments and got all sorts of conspiracy theorists calling the video fake. ... DO PEOPLE EVEN SEE ACTUAL PLANTS NOWADAYS?! I have to rescue my plants like that every once in a while since I'm a terrible neclecting mother to them.
Nati Whatever if you are a terrible neglecting mother to plants, then why the he'll are you keeping them? And one more question, are we staying on moon not to see plants or what ? Where is your mind my dear ?
For outdoor plants, it is normal for your plants to see to be dead after a hot day. Do not water them while there is still a strong sun. It will cook them. Water well you plants at night and or early in the morning. (Before 7 am or after 4 pm eastern time)
If a plant is suffering from lack of water, hot sun or not, it should be watered immediately. The plant is only in danger of being scrorched if you wet the leaves, stems, stalks, etc. Simply water it at the base.
Terrible advice. I had a plant in the condition just like in the video and after I watered it it immediately rose back up. This was also on a hot scorching day. I'd rather have my plants alive than cooked
Why are people doubting this? I just saw this happen on a smaller scale when I watered a wilted plant of mine, I was surprised it was back up within an hour
People are talking about the plant and here I am admiring the uploader to include a gymnopedies 3rd movement in the video.. Good choice, most people would just use the first movement.
I always say “my plant is crying”. Yesterday my lavender plant was “crying” so I gave it a good drink of water and she perked right up and was super happy within 10 minutes 😊 it’s so satisfying to watch
I notice this all the time, sometimes I forget to water plants for 2 or 3 days they look pale and about to die but immediately after after watering we can never recognise them they simply recover pretty fast
It's Garden Balsam. I always forget to water mine too and they ended up like that. When watered they stand back up. The plant's flowers has heart-shaped petals.
It's not reverse guys, at first I thought that was a reverse video, But after of several times of playbacking the video and then Stop (the new update of youtube in mobile) I saw a hand pouring a water in a plant and I shocked because in normal speed in this video I didn't see a hand pouring the plant, I'm like WTH LOL btw That was a nice video 😄

Cody Proctor lmao, I really hope you weren't talking to me. One, there is no actual way to confirm that this is "clearly fake". Your evidence and proof is no better than mine. My proof is more valid than yours. two, you can keep giving me these edgy "tough internet guy" comebacks all you want about my profile pic. but that only makes this argument worse than it actually is. not to mention that it's changing the subject. But instead of reasoning out with the argument and KINDLY telling me that my theory makes no sense, you decide to randomly give negative feedback on my channel for no good reason. pathetic. and fyi no matter what age I am (which you were wrong on) that doesn't mean I automatically lose the argument. (edit: and if you weren't talking to me, then I'd like to say that "A for Amazing A" doesn't even look close to an 8 year old.)
Cor Unum plants can do this, and as you can see, the plant leaves are still green, which indicates it's still alive, how ever there are many other plants out there that can almost completely dry up and service for years without water using a technique, and once given or soaked in water, with start growing back
Hey, just want to verify the video is going the correct way, cause I miscalculated the height it would rise to, so the top of the plant is out of the frame in the end :(
As someone who's grown cucumbers and taken a biology course, this is not fake and plants really do, do this. They have a specific tissue inside their stems and leaves that protects the vascular tissues as well as supporting the plant. When a plant is properly hydrated this tissue is full of water which keeps the plant upright and perky. When a plant needs water it uses up the water found in these stores and uses it up causing the plant to lose it's structural integrity and fall over/ droop.
Correct me if I'm wrong, that's a busy Lizzy and they hold a lot of water in there stems, most plants couldn't survive drought like that, unless their cactus or dessert plants. Thanks for the vid, 👍 i love anything timelapse with plants. ☺
My peace lily does this all the time. It's extremely wimpy and wilts from temperature changes or even slight dehydration. I've thought it was gone for sure so many times but some water and a few hours of rest perks it right back up so idk why people are saying this vid is fake just because plants can't be "revived" with water, because they most definitely can.
Yeah, we have occational mishaps :/ At some point there were 200+ plants in the house but had to give most of them away cause it became hard to handle them all.
I have an impatiens as well and it droops really intensely when I don't water it every other day, even though I live in a humid environment. 😂 I love the plant but it scares the shit out of me sometimes.
This is not reversed at 1:35 the shoot on the left after scraping along the back wall spring upwards after it loses contact with the wall. This is because is had been bent when in contact with the wall by the force supplied by water moving up the stem. If it were in reverse the shoot would not change speed of movement after the point of contact with the wall.

Only problem with this, you stress the plant out and the ppm/ec levels of salts build up in the soil or medium and concentrate (due to the soil getting so dry to wilt the plant) and your plant can burn all up as well. Give the plant a little bit of seaweed or b1 vitamin it will help make the plant bounce back faster and stress it less. Silica is also a good supplement to help with drought resistance.

There's to much pressure on them from society to fix all sorts of couples problems.

I saw it without doing that
