Cool tutorial. Could you please post some resources or a video on how to set up the textures? That's the one thing holding me back from finishing the mod. Everytime I load in the circlet, the lighting makes it so that you can see the fine mesh. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello, sorry for the late response. Please refer to the wiki here bg3.wiki/wiki/Modding:Armor/Clothing_Texture_Maps and here bg3.wiki/wiki/Modding:Creating_Outfit_Textures Accessories use the same kind of textures as clothing.
I'm not sure you can put 3D meshes in the tattoo slot. In fact it's probably not possible since the tattoos and makeup are all found on one 2D atlas texture.
@@Wolfhowl3 Maybe? I've never worked with piercings but it should be possible to use that slot for any kind of mesh. I don't have the game installed anymore so I can't take your commission. I suggest joining a BG3 modding discord if you want to commission someone or simply learn to make it yourself. The gist of it is: 1 - extract game models you need (a head, preferably the one you play with) 2 - load that model into Blender and make a cigar 3 - weight the cigar to the bottom lip so that the cigar follows the movement of the bottom lip 4 - export the cigar in GR2 (which is the file extension BG3 uses for its 3D meshes) 5 - make the textures using the software of your choice (blender, substance painter, photoshop, ...) 6 - put all of that in a piercing replacer mod and package that mod Here are some resources to get you started if you want to attempt it yourself: - Getting started and grabbing all the relevant software: wiki.bg3.community/Tutorials/Visual/getting-started-with-3d-modding - Making textures: bg3.wiki/wiki/Modding:Armor/Clothing_Texture_Maps - Template/guide to replacing piercings available to download here: www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/5907?tab=files (or alternatively, here: www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2001?tab=files)

Thank you for the video. How would you go about making a Mod to add a decent sized cigar to the Body art selection portion?
Or maybe that is something I could commission from you?

Oh, maybe as a jewelry item.
