i don't deny that shot is a great album, it rocks hard and sounds really good... i just have a soft spot in my heart for his recordings.... was listening to the Ep he did with Tad called Salt Lick... its one of my favs now... congrats on your internship... Cheers
Funnily enough, despite probably having watched most of Steve's interviews, etc., I don't think I've ever seen him outdoors. Even when I met him it was backstage at a venue. Nice to know he got some sun. Though this highlights how much of a thin sliver of the life of a public figure you see, because of course he got outside a lot, thousands and thousands of times.

steves been rockin it for yeeeeeears.
Although I love Steve, and he is the reason I chose to work in audio engineering, I still think that Shot sounds better than any of the Jesus Lizard albums he engineered. Maybe I'm biased though since I'm an intern for GGGarth.
Thanks dude. This is how all disagreements on the internet should be.
for sure man all the best...
FISTS OF LOVE! The Government is...
He, He, Silverchair, I saw them way back when on the Tonight Show with Leno. Leno was grasping to be the first to notice something the same week he had the Blue man group.
Filmed in Livorno 😊 Not letting Steve get away from you without some clarification about the Il Duce thing, eh? Ciao, Gli Amaranto!
"His opinion of himself was ultimately not as important as his actual place in the world."
background music is epic. Orange Twin Field Works vibe.
@anecsey He did the first four Jesus LIzard albums all of which sound better than their major label debut. He also did In Utero which is an amazing record. (I can't listen to Nevermind anymore its too polished).
He's done albums for The Pixies(surfer rosa), Boss Hog, Pussy Galore, Oxbow, Man or Astroman, Fugazi, Veruca Salt, Shadowy Men on A Shadowy Planet, Shit he even did Bush's Razorblade Suitcase, a lot of these bands are off the radar but a lot of em are better then Tool.
I do like King Crimson though they kick ass...
Cheers man
Helen Money playing in the background!
As i remember, Mussolini wasn't beheaded.. but hanged upside down and beated till death. Anyway Albini is a legend!
(Andrea, from Italy)
@ryanwade2006 yeah for what I'd want it is perfect. I"ll say it again Albini is not a producer he's a recording engineer. It wasn't like Botrill recorded Crimson in there heyday and Tool have pretty much done the same album over and over again since Aenima so i guess if it ain't broke don't fix it. I'll give you that Beinhorn did Superunknown but those guys only record artists from major labels.
@anecsey Albini doesn't like the term "producer" he's recording engineer. He try's to capture the raw sound of artists in the studio and bring that energy to the recording process. If you are referring to In Utero as being ruined then you're way off the mark. That album is Nirvana's best in my humble opinion and I would personally jump at the chance to have one of my bands recorded by this man in his studio in Chicago.
@anecsey I will talk shit... you like Silverchair... thats all i need to say... hahahahahaha
Haha he says it is cheap for him to work on a record with him.
