The Ramones were the first Punk Rock band I was exposed to. Bought their first album when I was 14 and yes, it changed my life.
A lot of people say the Ramones were the first punk band they found, first punk band I found was Big Black, was watching a documentary on Cobain and heard Kerosene playing in the backround. I had to find that song and what it was immediately. Changed my life.
If you were watching a documentary on Cobain, than Nirvana would be first punk band you've found, no?

@@1985cactus I suppose thats a good point. When I made this comment I didn't realize how pure of a punk band Nirvana was.
My first exposure to punk rock was hearing The Clash on the radio. But the band that really got me into punk was Green Day. Dookie was the first punk album I bought. It was one of the first albums I bought period.
