The more PTV you do, the more you’ll realize Vic (the lead singer) doesn’t scream in majority of their songs. Bulletproof love is definitely one of their top songs. Check it out!
When I first heard them I was scared of them keeping the scream. I came across them from kellin and was pleasantly surprised when I listened to them more
the news in the background at the end of the music video is directly calling to that songs music video and yeah, was listening to the bands back then and still love 'em (yes im that emo punk girl, even 9 years later, hair over the eyes, band Tees, hair flip, you name it)
I think scream vocals are best used as one of many vocal techniques in a song. It's a really effective tool for conveying intense emotion, but most songs don't need to be screamed the whole way through.
Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens are great bands! I think you'll really like the majority of their songs. "Circles" by PTV is a great song with a fun video. In fact, most of their videos are really creative and a lot of fun to watch. "Bulls in the Bronx" is one of my favorites. Check them out!
if you're into more clean vocals definitely check out Sleeping with Sirens acoustic singles. James Dean and Audrey Hepburn is gorgeous and Stomach Tied in Knots is super catchy.
being a huge pierce the veil fan " Stained glass and colorful tears ." or " A hundred sleepless nights " are my personal favorites from the collide with the sky album
PTV is such an amazing band. And even with screaming sometimes they make really cute songs, I'm sure you'll like it. My recommendation is Props and Mayhem
Man, the first time I listened to King for a day I HATED it. It must've been around the time it came out, I would've been barely 15 and hadn't gone anywhere near any kind of metal in my life. Over the rest of my time in high school, after I started listening to more metal mid-2013, I likely listened to King for a day more times than any other song. My suddenly emo ass totally fell in love with it
This kind of post hardcore is fantastic. If you like Kellin's vocals, I highly recommend Circa Survive, especially The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is The Dose
Man, that was a fun reaction! Anyone else thinks that Being as An Ocean would be an interesting band for Ellie to check out? Would be awesome to see her thoughts on songs like Glow, Dissolve or Black & Blue.
How can someone never heard king for a day? The song was huge even though someone not into it they should've been listening to it somewhere without noticing it
At the beginning I didn't like screaming at all in music, then I started listening to Bring Me The Horizon and Architects ahahah (also I Prevail made me like screaming, Eric Vanlerberghe is a great screamer, you should try Hurricane or Bow Down)
Definitely recommend checking out more Sleeping With Sirens. There's some really good songs that aren't as heavy on their previous album that you'd like (for example, Ghost, P.S. Missing You) as well as some heavier ones such as Break Me Down (or even the recently released single Bloody Knuckles).
I was just about to fall asleep and I see this reaction. I can stay up 8 more minutes lol. I saw them perform this live and it was amazing! Hope your day is going good!
for an only pierce the veil review i would recommand the song "stay away from my friends" where you cann hear his different vocal techniques and his voice is really amazing. And for an only sleeping with sirens review i would recommande "if i'm james dean you're audrey hepburn" and then compare with his voice on "heroin". Kellin can make really strong vocals, screaming with the false cords, fry screaming, super high clean notes, and his techniques are absolutly fantastic.
Fun fact, Vic Fuentes (the singer in the tank top) has been dating the red headed girl in this music video since this video came out. It is how they met and they are still together today
PTV also has some songs acoustically played that you may enjoy more. Definitely recommend their newer stuff maybe the misadventures album. They also just dropped two new songs after a 6 year hiatus.
definitely if you wanna listen to more Pierce the Veil, check out "Bulls in the Bronx", "A Match Into Water", "Dive In", "Props & Mayhem", "One Hundred Sleepless Nights", "The Divine Zero", "Today I Saw the Whole World", "Gold Medal Ribbon" (my personal favourite PTV song), "Sambuka" and "Hold On Till May"
Kellen's band, sleeping with sirens, recently put out the song "Bloody Knuckles" which is a very fun song imo. If you want to continue with Pierce the Veil i'd suggest "Hell Above".
man Vic is so pretty and cuTE- ANYWAYS- I absolutely LOVE this band! my all time favorite band and I liked your reaction! If you don't enjoy the screaming then I think you should stay away from their first album called "A Flair For The Dramatic" although it would be quite fun to see you react to "I'd Rather Die Than Be Famous" (my fav off of afftd) but its so nice to see that people are still appreciating these legends! also may I say, you're really pretty!! :3
I See Stars reactions would be sick. Or Hands Like Houses. Both bands don't scream much (I See Stars older stuff has some screaming) and have great vocalists.
If you want to check out a really dope rock band give The Strokes a shot if you haven’t heard of them before. I recommend Someday or Last Nite if you’re hearing them for the first time!
you should 100% react to sleeping with sirens! kellin quinn (the one with the shorter black hair) is the lead singer, and both them and pierce have plenty of songs without screaming if that's not your cup of tea
Maybe you will enjoy the "screaming" more when you do a reaction video and have the lyrics on the side. Love your reactions so far on the heavier bands :D
4:23 I dunno what they did with the bass guitar here sounds like they detuned it I wanna say drop D tuning but it sounds even lower than that with some effects processing on it going on (looks like a 4 string bass in the video but he coulda been playing a 6 string in the studio) but its kinda genius because it matches the gutteral screaming parts in the other parts of the song and they let it ring out by itself. Works p well.
Going off of what you said about liking more melodic and sing-y choruses, I think you should check out Crown The Empire. Even my mom pointed out how much she enjoyed the chorus. 2 songs I’d suggest from them are “The Fallout” or “Johnny Ringo”. - As others have said, it would be appropriate to react to If You Can’t Hang by Sleeping With Sirens (the singer is in this song). Thx so much for being open to new music and still staying honest
You’ll likely like Sleeping with Sirens( The vocalist Kellin Quinn is the feature in this song) but most of their songs are a lot tamer and they’re more “heavier” songs are very well balanced with the screaming and clean singing. Another great Pierce the Veil song is “Caraphernelia”
next, ALL OF THEIR SONGS lol. edit: Hold On Till May, Caraphernelia, Texas Is Forever, Today I Saw The Whole World, Gold Medal Ribbon, Current Convulsive, Yeah Boy and Doll Face, Southern Constellations + The Boy who Could Fly (they are split into 2 cus songs over 5mins ain't radio friendly or some other bs idr).
PTV ft Kellin Quinn this is one of my favourite songs of all time. You should check out more sleeping with Sirens they do a song with MGK called alone if you wanna check it out
Amazing reaction I personally love you're reaction and I don't care if you don't like the song because you tried it and alot of people wouldn't try it I love that type of music but I been listening to it since I was 8 and now I'm 21
PTV is an awesome band from Mexico. I have seen them live 3 times and each time they were brilliant. Check out "Dive in" and even "Hold on 'til May" Another band from Mexico you should definitely check out is a band of 3 sisters called The warning. They play heavy rock and are currently aged 16, 19 and 21. They just released a song with Alessia Cara and music video for the Metallica black list album, Enter Sandman. They did a cover when they were aged 9,12 and 14 that has 22m views. Their new cover of Enter Sandman was released 8 days ago and already has close to 600k views. You should check this out with a double reaction video of their 2014 video followed by their most recent one. Guaranteed you will join the warning army and go down the rabbit hole, just like you did with Falling in Reverse. They are on the verge of international recognition so hope you will do some reactions and some of their original stuff like dust to dust, dull knives, Evolve and Choke. Thanks
I will give You all best from Indonesia : To The Bone by Pamungkas Numb by KILLMS A Live by 510 An Elegy by Burger Kill What the F by Bondan Prakoso Sweet Scar by Weird Genius Pray for Bali by Fay Ehsan (Guitar)
Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens are more Post-Hardcore than Screamo. Kellin Quinn is the higher vocals and the feature. His band is Sleeping With Sirens
If you enjoy songs that are broken up like that I like to tell people then you like the post-hardcore genre, I like to explain it like post hardcore is 50/50 metal core is like 70 screaming/30 singing and death core is 100 screaming so you're probably looking at the post hardcore genre
The more PTV you do, the more you’ll realize Vic (the lead singer) doesn’t scream in majority of their songs. Bulletproof love is definitely one of their top songs. Check it out!
When I first heard them I was scared of them keeping the scream. I came across them from kellin and was pleasantly surprised when I listened to them more
up
Honestly he actually screams alot more than people think, a lot of it is nuanced or in the background to add flash to the vocal oart
@@eligarcia182 in older songs yes but not as much in newer
@@eligarcia182 yeah, i was just about to say this
You should 100% do more sleeping with sirens (kellin quinn) if you haven’t already “better off dead” and “the strays” are amazing songs.
Yes, you would love Sleeping with Sirens! Defo 'The Strays' or 'If You Can't Hang' :)
@@HannahIsBonkers if you can’t hang is literally so good ugh
Do it now remember it later, the best videoclip
My fav is With ears to see and eyes to hear the acoustic version and the hardcore version 😌
A natural follow up to this would most definitely have to be Sleeping With Sirens - If You Can't Hang
that's a great one!
Big facts
Or If I'm James Dean
I have a question, is there a song that matches “king for a day” by sleeping with sirens because I like remember hearing their song sound like this
"Do it now, remember it later" by "Sleeping with sirens", love Kellin's voice, so happy to finally see some of him on the channel😆
the news in the background at the end of the music video is directly calling to that songs music video and yeah, was listening to the bands back then and still love 'em (yes im that emo punk girl, even 9 years later, hair over the eyes, band Tees, hair flip, you name it)
the whole album is a vibe
I think scream vocals are best used as one of many vocal techniques in a song. It's a really effective tool for conveying intense emotion, but most songs don't need to be screamed the whole way through.
Deathcore does tho 🤘🏻
Whitechapel would like to have a word
Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens are great bands! I think you'll really like the majority of their songs. "Circles" by PTV is a great song with a fun video. In fact, most of their videos are really creative and a lot of fun to watch. "Bulls in the Bronx" is one of my favorites. Check them out!
facts, PTV's music videos are always top tier
We'll never get music this good anymore
Sadly, you're right...
Sleeping with sirens has a lot of really good songs, without "screaming". U gonna like pretty much all of them, im sure about that :P
I love do it know remember it later, reminds me of when I was a teen
if you're into more clean vocals definitely check out Sleeping with Sirens acoustic singles. James Dean and Audrey Hepburn is gorgeous and Stomach Tied in Knots is super catchy.
Pierce the Veil has great range. If you want softer, you can ease yourself in with a nice slower song like Floral and Fading.
being a huge pierce the veil fan " Stained glass and colorful tears ." or " A hundred sleepless nights " are my personal favorites from the collide with the sky album
PTV is such an amazing band. And even with screaming sometimes they make really cute songs, I'm sure you'll like it. My recommendation is Props and Mayhem
That's such a good song !!!

Over the rest of my time in high school, after I started listening to more metal mid-2013, I likely listened to King for a day more times than any other song. My suddenly emo ass totally fell in love with it
This is the song that got me into heavy/screamo music! Definitely a great intro for people to get into this genre!
This kind of post hardcore is fantastic. If you like Kellin's vocals, I highly recommend Circa Survive, especially The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is The Dose
I definitely second this! I also think We’re All Thieves is a good one to check out
Man, that was a fun reaction! Anyone else thinks that Being as An Ocean would be an interesting band for Ellie to check out? Would be awesome to see her thoughts on songs like Glow, Dissolve or Black & Blue.
How can someone never heard king for a day? The song was huge even though someone not into it they should've been listening to it somewhere without noticing it
The vernacular for screams, in general, is just calling them 'unclean vocals'. That's all-encompassing all types of genres. Hope that helps.
Pierce the veil and sleeping with sirens are both AMAZING bands to get into the genre with! Especially their older stuff. really deep lyrics too
Awesome 😎 love peirce the veil one of my favourite bands my favourite song from them Is hell above
I love this song SOOOOOOO much!!
At the beginning I didn't like screaming at all in music, then I started listening to Bring Me The Horizon and Architects ahahah (also I Prevail made me like screaming, Eric Vanlerberghe is a great screamer, you should try Hurricane or Bow Down)

Omggg I find it so crazy how there’s people who just found out about PTV but btw I love the reaction keep doing more PTV🙌🏼🤍🤍
I was just about to fall asleep and I see this reaction. I can stay up 8 more minutes lol. I saw them perform this live and it was amazing! Hope your day is going good!

Listen to Die4U by Bring Me the Horizon. It came out today!

OH! almost forgot, "Currents Convulsive" and "The Balcony Scene" from their first album (highly underrated album)
recommend Sleeping With Sirens - Alone ft. MGK (:
Love this song so much, hope you do more like this though! More sleeping with sirens, more falling in reverse!
Been WAITING for this one 😁
Kellin is the one with Mgk in the song "Love race". You've reacted to it!
Kellen's band, sleeping with sirens, recently put out the song "Bloody Knuckles" which is a very fun song imo. If you want to continue with Pierce the Veil i'd suggest "Hell Above".
I think you should start reacting to mcr, you'll love them.

their selfish machines album has a lot less screaming.
my two favorite songs of the sky under the sea and besitos are on there
I See Stars reactions would be sick. Or Hands Like Houses. Both bands don't scream much (I See Stars older stuff has some screaming) and have great vocalists.
Calm Snow would be great for her. Plus the music video is one of my favorites ever. Top notch production, powerful song.
Lauren Babic did a cover of this with a guy who I can't recall his name and it was great.
Eric July! YoungRippa59 on UA-cam
If you want to check out a really dope rock band give The Strokes a shot if you haven’t heard of them before. I recommend Someday or Last Nite if you’re hearing them for the first time!
Please do more pierce the veil songs! I loved this reaction

Maybe you will enjoy the "screaming" more when you do a reaction video and have the lyrics on the side. Love your reactions so far on the heavier bands :D
You should definitely react to Pierce The Veil: Hold On Till May
A good statement for vocals like this is extreme vocals. It covers most of what you are hearing.
from 600 subs to 31,2k congrats ^^
Great video and commentary!
these bands are amazing and trust me they do not scream this much! You would love Sleeping With Sirens
Screaming = scream/harsh vocals
"Normal" singing = clean vocals
My first time listening to Pierce the Veil was Bulletproof Love and it’s very much a softer song and really melodious and I think you might like it
yesss more ptv and sleeping wit sirens i remember when this came out it broke the internet lol
YEEEES, next PTV reaction: Bulls in the bronx
it's a reoccurring thing in the entire genre as a whole! you should check out Motionless In White - Another Life
My favorite band 😍😍😍😍
please, i’d love to see you react to Saints of the Blood by Black Veil Brides!!
Going off of what you said about liking more melodic and sing-y choruses, I think you should check out Crown The Empire. next, ALL OF THEIR SONGS lol.

also fun fact, that lady in red, is now his fiance
i recommend chlorine or daydreamer by trophy eyes! they’re one of my fav bands and chemical miracle is so so good
Great video . Regards from costa rica 🇨🇷
PTV ft Kellin Quinn this is one of my favourite songs of all time. You should check out more sleeping with Sirens they do a song with MGK called alone if you wanna check it out
what you said from 2:46 to 4:03 tells me that the metal genres you’d like the most would be: pop punk and post hardcore
NOW THIS WARRRRR OOOOHHHHHH
If you're looking to maybe react to another Pierce The Veil song then I'd strongly suggest either "Hold On Till May" or "Circles"
Fun fact the lead singer of PTV (Vic Fuentes) met his soon to be wife in this music video she is the girl in red in the beginning
Amazing reaction I personally love you're reaction and I don't care if you don't like the song because you tried it and alot of people wouldn't try it I love that type of music but I been listening to it since I was 8 and now I'm 21

No PTV is NOT from Mexico. They are all born and raised in San Diego, California. I know I went to high school and middle school with them.
@@josephcorrao3821 Yes, I know they are from San Diego. They are of Mexican ethnicity though. Did you know them well?
What she said by 3:00 mark, have she heard of Bullet For My Valentine? thats kinda their specialty i would say haha
Pierce the veil - dive is amazing
