These front air shocks are simple to replace on your Land Rover. They're also a lot cheaper than they Then new one from the stealer ship and can be bought on eBay!
Make sure you depressurize your air shocks with the switch on your dash.
You should be able to hear a leaking sound out of your air shock while jacking your Land Rover up.
I've actually used Green Slime to fill my shock up before in a snap (DON'T TRY THAT AT HOME!!!!!!😂)
You could spray a VERY LIGHT coat of oil up the shaft to keep from rotting but not so much that it collects and keeps the rocks and dirt up in there
This is the ultimate guide to fixing your leaking air shocks on your LR3

    A couple pro tips.
*The back upper shock bolt might be easier to reach through the engine compartment. Standard socket and maybe 2 extensions with the extension closest to the bolt being a wobble extension.
    * Look to buy shocks with the air line fitting pre installed. Do not remove it from the new shock. Remove the old fitting from the air line and then just push the air line into the new fitting that is screwed into the shock.
    * Lift both tires on the axle you are working on. IE both front tires or both rear. This will take some torsion or twist out of the suspension and will make lining up the lower bolt much much easier. Side note: One lifted bot tires my 11 year old push the lower bolt through.

Pro tip on putting the shock on next time is to do the bottom shock bolt then back up into the place where you can do the line and the top bolts 2nd.

Can I ask what oil you would recommend to coat the rubber on the shocks.

Thanks for the upload. By the way, why do RR owners refuse to buy hood struts? 🤔

How do you recalobrate the suspension with the ecm?

Typically not needed. Just cycle through all the height settings. Some options if you need to. 1 Lower the car all the way down. Disconnect the battery for 15-30 minutes; then reconnect and cycle through the setting. Or 2 buy a Land Rover scan tool like icarsoft and you can reprogram everything. Or 3 find a rover repair shop to re calibrate everything

I just spent the afternoon getting my front shocks out, I gave up on the back ones, I'll need to pray on that, but the coil overs are going in baby, good riddance crazy air system that is way smarter than I am, I just want to go places

Yeah that was kind of a little bit of a bitch getting them things in and out of there. If I remember right I had to put my thinking cap on to do that job

But, you didn't show how to find the leak. Great video otherwise.
