No Rebels: Rome Total War TimeLapse (A.I. Only)

- Опубліковано 9 вер 2024
- Welcome to this Weeks AI Only TimeLapse for Rome Total War, and today the rebels have been removed.
How will this effect the behaviour of the AI as they now start with extended borders. Will Rome still be able to dominate in a world like this?
These take a long time to make. Please to Subscribe if you want to see more.
There were a couple of settlements that remained rebel. Those were bugged and it crashed when I tried to fix it. I removed the garrison and spawned other armies factions nearby so that they could taken it a couple of turns after. It was the closest I could get.

@@MelkorGG Just wondering if your gonna try more timelapses with mods?
Yes. And hopefully the Mods should get bigger and crazier as time goes on : )

Even though Egypt had the upper hand at the start around the minute mark it called Brutii winning, once one Roman faction gets enough good settlements nothing can stop them, especially as they get into the late game their units are just too good
I think the Marian Reforms are the problem. I may be able to remove them and see if that helps : )
@@MelkorGG that would be very interesting to see! Great vid m8 👍
Spartans and a few walls could
hell yeah@@MelkorGG
Egypt lost to rebels though (or, their family died out, which I think is maybe more plausible) which I find hilarious.
The game’s most crucial moment was 0:15, Brutii cutting off the Julii
Without Mediolanum you can't have a good julii campain
@@nicobouza2935 btw it's Patavium, modern Padova
So Greeks can beat Egypt late game... interesting - they've never lasted long enough in any of my playthroughs for me to see that happen! Pity we can't get a full on civil war between the Scipii and Brutii.
Yeah, it gets to the point late game, where the AI take about 10-20 turns to move their armies from one province to the other. They will start fighting in about 100 Turns and then will take another 100 until it is clear which one will win. I thought it would have been Brutii.
I think Egypt must've been distracted by the Scipii invading their Empire from their tiny number of territories. Not even an Egypt controlling the whole map apart from Italy could beat the marian Romans.
I really wasn’t expecting Greece to come back from like 3 settlements and just destroy Egypt
Nobody was expecting it : )
I was rooting for the Greeks damn
I never thought of Greece as being very aggressive, they assimilated Egypt!
Same, first time the Greeks have really done something, and it was that epic : )
I love how the Greeks had an Alexander moment and just conquered all of Egypt
Well, at least Greeks got what they wanted, a new Alexander.
Brittania almost taking Rome. If only.
I saw the Gauls manage it once. It is so weird that it sent the AI crazy.
Civil War began in Rome after about 30 Turns and Rome ended up uniting itself under the Brutii, I think. : )
I always root for the Gauls.
The poor Gauls are too good for this world. Always gangbanged by those wicked Brittons and treacherous Romans.
The real amazing thing is that Greek turnaround. Goddamn, what a twist! I was heartbroken when it ended.
I swear upon this alter; Never be a friend of Rome!
aye
ROMA DELENDA EST
How dare you! Gauls removed my grandfather's eyes!
@@hannibalburgers477 you stinking julii as if the people matter, Roman steel in Brutii fist oh and here are all the arrows in the world
I thought it was cool how the greeks got smashed early but held on and conquered most of the east only to be overrun again towards the end
One day, Roman factions will not rape the whole map. But not today.
The day I remove Marian reforms, maybe. : )
@@MelkorGG You can see exactly when they kick in lol
Well it looks like the Brutii brutalized the Britons. 😆
They did not scipii over any settlement on the mainland.
ROMAN STEEL IN A BRUTII FIST
I HATE GAULS
Witnessing the rise and fall of my favorite faction of Egypt reminds me of my very first play through of a total war on the hardest difficulty. Almost exactly like this.
That was a really fun video to watch :D ... Thought we might lose both the Julii and Scipii at one point! I love the way you do timelapses :)
The scipii are slowly making a comeback in the east, they might have retaken Italy eventually
3:08 We shall defend our island whatever the cost maybe.
And once again, Rome wins despite being so uninteresting to play against
It's not only armies, but economics too, I changed economics and some unites of eastern countries and made the game very interesting.
6:04
Brutal..
I had to XD
@@MelkorGG Hehe well I can't blame you. A good one, just so sudden. Kinda took me by suprise lol.
I like the music in all your videos :D
Its kinda sad to see Seleucids are so weak in this game but the irony is they are one of the most powerful armies in the late game
They have won a couple of these before. As you say, if they survive to late game then they tend to do well : )
I dont understand how greeks never manage to conqure all the map, with the Grece taken they can be richest in the game especially Athens which brings 5k in mid game after you build few good buildings.
In balanced armies that don't work well with auto-resolve I guess. : )
And they get so many good wonders early on.
Deep pockets but no no real heavy offensive infantry.
Their phalanx infantry is just very bad in autoresolve cuz they actually have very low damage
The Greek comback tho 👌
The best comeback yet, I think : )
Macedon at 0:10: *Change Da World! My final message! Good bye!*
The A.I. Hates the Carthagains
Why were the Julii so weak :/
They often do struggle at the start. Same with the.
Sometimes the Julli will do bad and the Scipii good, sometimes its the other way round. But it's very very rare that both do well. It's weird, I know : )
Out of all 3 Roman factions, only the Brutii have never had a bad game.
The Julii's campaigns almost alway rely on controlling Patavium (especially for the AI) because almost all of the other cities near enough to conquer in Gaul and Germania are completely undeveloped with miniscule populations (400 people is the smallest a city can be and may barbarian cities start off with barely 800 people and don't have enough infrastructure to really push up population growth) and require extensive investments to make them productive enough to support mich more than their own garrison let (with the exception of maybe Alesia to a limited extent). Patavium also has this problem to begin with but it's base population growth is insanely high (9% iirc) so it can rapidly develop into a major city with a large tax base, while supplying lots of troops without draining the Julii's other major Italian cities of population, and add to that it opens up easy access to the cities of Segestica and Solona with good potential mining prospects and it has coastal access for a decent amount of trading. It really does help the development of the Julii early on and in this campaign the Brutii took it before the Julii could, handicapping them in the long run.
Generally when I played the Julii I'd actually recruit peasants in Patavium and disband them in low population provinces to slow down the city's growth (so I could build the infrastructure it needed to not revolt) and to colonise the Gallic and German provinces that were almost always completely drained of people after the hordes of warbands and spear warbands had been recruited there.
for anyone besides to win the roman, you have to user the nation. OR unless gaul has like a really good game
James Hussey I think Gaul needs either a listing a alliance with Germania or the Britons to win, otherwise too many of its resources are sent to fight those two rather than let them fight among themselves
At least with the ai
your spookiest video yet
julilii got rekt
First minute- Finally a campaign where the Romans don't instantly dominate, this will be interesting.
Second minute- Snore
2:35 Greeks had quite a comeback
🕵
Parthia just chilling in the corner like
that greek comeback had me oozing my juices
I feel bad for the beginning game senates, who were just surrounded by 3 other factions
Brutii are the strongest Romans Campaign wise.
Scipii have the strongest fleet.
Julii are just meh compared to the other two.
Also awesome video as always man :)
P.S. Legend taught you today how to do better videos :)
Thanks. Taught me? He did not teach me anything, but what I already knew - which gives me confidence. : )
@@MelkorGG shhhh
It's okay man.. you're safe here. No need to pretend that you know such stuff ;P
Jk. I love your videos and your answers as well :)

What, Legend of total war?
@@LighthouseLiars yes.
Have u tried the medieval 2 grand campaign mod, adds in every faction from base dlc but no timurids. I think a timelaspe for that would be interesting
Not yet, but it sounds interesting. I may take a look sometime : )
So the Britons dominated early and the Julii stalled out immediately. And the Greeks made a full comeback against Egypt. So sad they could not reclaim Greece though.
1:34 you said no rebels! Reee xD nah just joking. Good vid mate
You caught me. I'm a fraud XD
Thanks : )
That's acctually important rebel. Dacia stood for whole minute untouched. Who know how long it could last without rebels.
It wasn't rebels. It was Regicide. They were at war with the Romans and Romans killed all their generals - turning them into rebels.
@@MelkorGG Oh.Then everything is allright. I'm just a fan of Dacia.
3:35
A new world!
A better world!
A Roman World!!
Lol. Tbh i was really rooting for egypt and greece there. Dunno what happened xD
Marian Reforms, it makes the Romans Op and gives them insane comebacks. I think I have removed it so it should be balanced in future TimeLapses. : )
We need to see it without marian reforms
Good work!
Those pesky Romans
В игре прописано что те фракции которых атакует Рим становятся без инициации
Dacia deserves an update in this game...
I think the greeks established a stable economy in their few cities which enabled them to make their heavier hoplite types (par spartans due to lacking the city), and that's how they killed off egypt who has overall lighter troops. greece only failed in the beginning due to having more early game units
You could try to play as a Greek in this gameplay and see how well could you go on
Lmao at the Greek recover
En aquella e poca España no existía, le quedaba mucho tiempo para ni siquiera ser una jodida idea.
Más bien serían IBEROS ¿No crees?
Europa Barbarorum and Europa Barbarorum II should definitely do the same as the title
I was thinking the exact same thing with the Greeks!
Greek millionaires hmmmmmmmmmm
I thought ai couldnt intiate civil war
0:44 race for Berlin (colorized)
1:20 operation unthinkable (colorized)
2:15 founding of the European Union (colorized)
Apparently all Greece needed to be powerful was to start with Athens.
How about rome timelapse where rome has its borders like it was historically? Sorry my english
Rome is OP enough as it is. : )
What a surprise, Carthage gets taken out seconds into the game 😂
Domus dulcis Domus...lol xD
Wth happened to julii tho?? I dont think ive ever seen britain just smash everyone like that
In AI Only it is all auto-resolve. Chariots get double hitpoints, and double hitpoints is very OP in auto-resolve. British generals are all chariots, so if there is no human player and Britain survives, then Britain dominates the West side, usually, until the Brutii with their mega-greek economy can take them out.
You should mark moment when Marian Reforms happen.
Where did you learn how to mod rtw? Is there a mod guide you could link me to? I've been wanting to create different scenarios by giving factions different regions.
Theres a few basic guides arounds, but I don't recommend them. I mostly had to teach my safe. It's not the best advice, but its the only type I can give.
Are you gonna make a tutariol how you can do this?
Tutorial to how I do AI onlys and TimeLapses: ua-cam.com/video/O6PKJgAPjA8/v-deo.html
If that is what you meant. : )
As for a modding Tutorial. Maybe something like it someday, but I doubt it would be worth the time for the views, unsure.
Rome is basically the only faction with late game units, other got late game unit,if they're lucky😅 its only a matter of which roman faction.
What visual mods do you have for this game. It looks way better than standard version which I have
I don't have any visual mods. It's on the highest graphics, but apart from that, no visual Mods : )
Why are there stoll 4 rebel territories? I understand there are Galatians and Amazonians but the rest?
how did Numidia conquer Carthage???
Wow! How to make map without rebels?
Why is Noricum in the beginning germanic🤨
Nice music, whats that?
Only romans could be cool, and maybe som other faction:)
The Greek comeback was too much for me, they didn't get trampled by bigger factions for once
Well, they did get trampled, twice in way, but had a comeback in the middle game for once : )
Brutii took europe and Scipii took africa
Music track?
It's from the Rome Total War Soundtrack: ua-cam.com/video/Q3jNTcC8i80/v-deo.html
Thx! :)
why does Carthage suck so bad with ai i took over all of Rome and Greece with Carthage
Same with Rome 2?
Ok. Look at that map. It is more vibrant than the Rome 2 map! Ships, carts moving..
How the FUCK can CA go downhill with that sort of detail?
The modern campaign maps are graphically beautiful but after Empire, they are noticeably less "alive"
I was always hoping that the TW maps would come more alive. Maybe some farmers, in the field that got more advanced as your farms grew with irrigation and perhaps windmills. Builders scuttling about during building times.. None of this. It has become more stale and boring.
Where are you from? I can't place your accent. My initial guess is northern England but I can't tell for sure
Yorkshire, Northern England. : )
@@MelkorGG No way haha I've been there it's beautiful
thats what i hated about rtw1. rome steamrolled everything no problem. every campaign i played i always had to go straight for the romans in order to fight other factions in the late game. got to the point where i would just make roman units weak af in the game directory just so i could play a unique campaign where other ai factions had a chance without me having to butcher rome every single game -.-
I found a fix to this, I think. My latest TimeLapse removed the Marian Reforms from the game, so they were stuck with Triarrii at best.
Here is the TimeLapse if interested: ua-cam.com/video/pNJqBHMZeyA/v-deo.html
Rome is still good, but they are mostly balanced with this.
There is a code in the Med 2 Desc_strat file that says "Marian_Reforms Disabled", if you copy that into the Rome Desc_strat file at about the same place then it should remove them, if you want it that is. : )
Could you make a video with Alexander total war?
XD I did one for Alexander once. Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/hEvLX4wih_I/v-deo.html This was the best I could get it.
After watching, you know why I will never go back to it for an AI only Timelapse. : )
