I bought the SF deluxe edition. I played Alpha 1 and 2 in the arcade as a teenager on a big blue so its perfect nostalgia for me. My arcade had the champion edition stickers on the side of the big blue, champion edition bezel and alpha marquee so its like I get a mini replica of the machine I played on as a teenager. Going to swap between alpha 1 and 2 marquees.
Cool that they put the 3 best marquees in the regular edition, so people don't really get fomo on the missing marquees if they just get standard edition.

No matter what all of the discussions are, the main selling point for me is that it plays the carts. That’s huge! I am massive supported of this brand and products. So glad they are making more cool stuff and supporting their other products by creating an ecosystem.

I think I will softmod my Arcade1up Big Blue instead to put Alpha 1 and 2 and other games on it, i also got the Deluxe for Final Fight but didn't build it yet. BB cost me under $200 on ebay and Deluxe under $300 on ebay.
Hi steps watched your show on the reply I love evercade I have 90 percent of there carts and I pre ordered the street fighter deluxe so I must say if you buy the Atari carts I highly recommend to order of amazon the Atari 400 mini joystick it works on the evercade vs abd you can map the controls

Re: Intellivision... (1) the first of the two Evercade carts ("Intellivision Collection 1") is good, the second one is terrible. (2) The only viable alternative (in 2024) is a remake on the Nintendo 2DS that uses the touch screen to mimic the controls.
I hate counter kids, specially if you’re someone who collects the bigger ones to me, it makes no sense to mix and match them, but I did order the deluxe for two reasons. The first is I like the cartridges that you could add in second I’m going to put this someplace where I have no arcades in one of the other rooms. I think it works good for someone who doesn’t have a lot of space because now you have a screen and everything ready to go and the fact you could play all your other evade cartridges pretty cool. Now in the long run will I keep it? Who knows I bought both of them why who knows but if one day I downsize and I get rid of my house and get a smaller condo somewhere I could see one of these fitting in, but who am I kidding? I have way too many toys to downsize. I love gadgets, big and small and toys.

I never saw SF Alpha 1, 2 or 3 in its own cabinet, always in a "recycled" cabinet made for some other game; the Japanese version (Zero 1, 2 and 3) was even more consistently housed in a generic cabinet, in my experience. Not a complaint, just an observation: not many customers would have nostalgia for that cabinet.
Yeah not sure Mega Man had a cabinet other than a marquee on a big blue or dynamo either. Alpha had to at least have a bezel and a stick on the side just like the street fighter 2 games. Personaly I just want something different than I already have, but hey I got mega man coming

Anyone can Google how much a Sanwa arcade stick costs: it ain't $100 and it ain't even $50, folks. Sanwa, Seimitsu, classic Hori... JUST SAYING...
I know how much they cost I had like 4 extra laying around I sent to Bobby. It’s not just the sanwa in the deluxe you are getting.
That is true, I am nevertheless suggesting that the deluxe edition is overpriced: Sega Astro City Mini had Sanwa parts, Taito Egret Mini, too, AFAIK. @@stepsgaming
