I was at this show and got to meet him, cool guy. I really miss that show. Wish it was still around. Thanks so much for posting, great memories :)
You know this is throwback if Langley had F15’s. I’m not even old and this made me feel old lol
Hell Yeah I was at this show and that's why I love the F-15 Eagle!!!
Simply the best.
my all time favorite
It so beautiful
F-15C was the best no backseat lighter true AtoA I would say the F-22 was the replacement for the F-15C. I saw their demo more then a few times the would stand it up at the end of the runway scorch the pavement with the afterburner.
3:50 he’s mere inches from a tailstrike
I want to fly this jet
Awesome guy but "first in, last out" is the Wild Weasels. Great demo nonetheless ;) Fantastic pilot and I sorely miss McDonnell Douglas. They were a truly great manufacturer.
F-22s and F-35s are now first-in, with F-35s being the last ones out since they have such an insane internal fuel capacity.
F-35s do the Destruction of Enemy Air Defense mission among a laundry list of missions in a single sortie, including Electronic Warfare, Air Dominance, and precision strike.
We're no longer limited to the single or even multirole mission profiles of the 1960s-1980s fighter designs.
Still the best fighter in America! Its been combat-proven many times. Can't say that about the 35 or the 22
F-22 & 3 of 4 variants of the F-35 have all been in combat. They've also done extensive air combat exercises against the F-15C and humiliated it in that realm.
F-22 & F-35 are an unfair fight against previous generation fighters like the F-15. That big APG-63 in the F-15 still doesn't provide the same level of SA as the networked F-22s or F-35s.
On top of that, F-22 & F-35 can set up unobserved approaches with No Escape Zone weapons parameters without their victims being aware they're about to die.
F-22s over Syria and the Persian Gulf have intercepted dozens of fighters. Since the set-ups are unfair, they just call them over an international guard channel and tell them to turn around and go home or things will get bad for them really fast.
