@@janetwh55 Sorry - sounds like you weren't able to see the cursor. "Select Subject" and "Select and Mask" are at the top of the screen in the upper left. Along the top edge, about a third of the way over. I think I said "Select Mask" in the video- so maybe that threw you off as well. Does that help clarify?

At 'select mask' I gave up for I could not see how you did do it at all? Sorry, looking for other source how to change the b/ground.

Anything to do with layers. All of the in’s and out’s can be very confusing.
