Love the tutorial …but stopped watching when I saw that beautiful ironing board!! The size is wonderful where did you source that baby from?thank you
Thank you! It’s a quilters ironing board by Singer. I got mine from a sewing supply store, it was a special order that was returned. I’ve seen them on Amazon as well.
Hello. A few questions. Do you have an estimate of fabric required for one way fabric? Suggestions for fabric weight? Also for the interfacing needed? In addition, I purchased the pattern but it is unclear if the dotted line is the sewing line or not? Better instructions for putting the pattern together would be useful as in my print out not all pieces were labeled ( c1, d2, etc.)
Hope to hear back especially about the estimated fabric. Thank you.
Hi, thanks for your question!
Purchase one yard/metre of the main fabric. That will give you enough for some pockets. Purchase about a half yard/metre in the lining fabric. The dotted line is the sewing line - the solid line is the seam allowance. Thanks for the feed back about labeling, if you open the attached PDF labeled "overview" the pieces are labeled as what each one is. :)
@@thefriendlyfox Thank you so much for the super quick reply.
No problem!@@safetylesfeldyfan1087

Very nice job. I can see but that is beyond my skill level.
It’s definitely a more advanced project. If you’re a beginner and did want to attempt it, I recommend watching the video a few times and going slow through the entire process.

Hi Jane!
O que vc usa para estruturar a peça?
Pellon extra firm stabilizer is what I used, but any firm stabilizer should do the job.
I love this bag
Thank you! So do my daughter and I. It’s such a great all around bag.
Did I miss the measurements?
We will be adding a link to them tomorrow!
Hi Karen, the pattern download with measurements is now available on our store, link is in the video description!
I keep failing when it comes to the bottom of this bag. Tips, tricks?
What part specifically are you struggling with? Perhaps the interfacing weight you have is too heavy?
@@thefriendlyfox No its not that because I cut 1/2 off of the interfacing all the way around. What I am having an issue with is attaching the bottom.
It is a difficult maneuver to match it all up. When you are about to stitch along the bottom (with the base folded up) try using butterfly clips from the office supply. I find these clips to be heavier and capable of clamping onto the fabric - they seem to be stronger than the flimsy ones from the sewing store. The ones from the sewing store are in their place - like cotton or other finer materials, but this weight of fabric (with all the interfacing and layers) needs a more industrial clip. As long as you cut exactly, line it all up, it should fasten.
It just dawned on me that you might be asking about attaching the bottom to the side gussets?
@@thefriendlyfox No you have it right it is the last part of the project that I struggle with. I will try one more time with the binder clips. It is that the pieces don’t all want to come together.
I’m so sorry you’re having trouble fastening the base. It’s definitely a finicky part of the bag. Using the clips to make the fabric stay where you need it should work. Hopefully the clips will hold it in place for you
What is the measurements if the final bag?
Finished bag is roughly 15x10 inches
Could you share the pattern please.
Pattern is available at the link in description :)
