Ive had the tamarak angler kayak and also an old town canoe. And they would always trail off in the current or from the wind. So that spot lock looks soo good! I think I need one
OK, so first trip today... Was supposed to be fishing but basically I fiddled with the spotlock, steering... with rudder,,,steering with remote... 12 mph winds and tides. Was able to successfully load and unload by myself... issues getting yak on cart... Getting better at that. It was great. I didn't know about or try the N button. I could have used that today... But made note of it this time watching your vid. Thanks. Yep, I was worried about the seat... I'm 215 but the seat was great for the 4 hours I was out today.
What paddle length of that old town autopilot paddle that you had what length was that please was it comfortable did you feel you needed a longer or a shorter one
I wonder if they'll add ipilot link to talk with humminbird units and allow follow contour on maps... As for salt water, typically the salt rated minn kota's are the Riptide versions with the white finish...interesting to see how it will handle salt...
Just chillin', LOL. That open deck on a powered kayak is genius. That north button would definitely be nice when fishing a mangrove shoreline. You could set it to run parallel to the shore and just fish. Will you be reviewing the PDL versions of the Sportsman 120, Salty 120, and Bigwater 132? Looks like they are replacing the Topwater 120, OK Malibu PDL, and Predator PDL, respectively. I am interested in seeing the differences/upgrades over their predecessors.
Exactly! That’s what the autopilot did in Florida. I just slow trolled the mangrove shoreline fishing it. I hope Old Town does send the channel the other line of boats so I can do some on water reviews here in our marsh system.
I agree, I think they are going to ween out the predators and topwaters. I think oldtown wants an "official" line named for sportsman hence the name. As far as I can see (looking at the website) the ONLY difference with the Predator PDL is the seat and not sure if there is much difference cause I only see a different stitching pattern and I think it might come with a tackle box.
It depends on the battery you buy like with any trolling motor I’d guess 7-8 hours of use but that’s continuous. My 50 pound last me all day and usually has half at the end
batteries are the same with any trolling motor you can go with a lithium or lifepo4 remember guys you will be fishing and not trolling the entire time.
Get a smaller marine battery. Some of the deep cycle batteries are quite small. You don't need a huge battery for a fish finder. Also you can use the trolling motor battery for your finder.
Wow. Old Town is starting to lead the charge. Spot lock on a yak yes plz. Very nice product. Old Town is well known for canoes now they will be well known for yaks woohoo.
I'm taking the Hobie 360 with a micro power pole. I loath the idea of running out of power and then having to padel back. These sit on tops are rough to paddle long distances so I perfer a propulsion method that can't run out of battery.
I got one.... Picking it up tomorrow RX... Great demo vid. I'm in SWFL. Can't wait.
Sweet! Congrats. You’ll love it.

Hey can you put something on the scuppers in the front of the kayak so the water doesn't come up
Do you prefer this kayak or the hobie pro angler
Congrats on catching your first Caribbean stinkfish!
For that money you should just spend a little more for the Pro Angler 360. And if you don't want to self propel might as well get a used bass boat.

Great Video. I found my next kayak.
It’s a fun platform. Enjoy!

Holy shit! Bad ass!
So get a gheenoe if you want a small power boat. You can have a trolling motor and a main motor, and still in a kayak almost format.
I truly hope Min Kota realizes the market out there and makes this motor available for other brands. My Feelfree Dorado would fit this no problem.
minnkotamotors.johnsonoutdoors.com/saltwater-trolling-motors/riptide-terrova?id=13331&jo-page=2#; $1400 but you could mod it to fit.
One new rifle, two new scopes and THEN my new boat. Throw in one crappie rod and reel and I'm ready for retirment. This looks like the boat.
Great video Nick 👍
David Crowson appreciate it!

It's look like game changer!❣️👍
👊👊👊
Really cool kayak
Can't wait until they up date with beds toilets.
I'd like to see more about the battery and how long it lasts.
I was going top all the same thing

@@Sdemmy980 and you can bring two if you'd rather - super easy hookup

Looks amazing. Only one thing I would change. The front hatch size. Looks pretty small. Idk if my fish finder battery would fit in it.

Pain Weaver I already have a 20AH bioenno battery for my Lowrance elite 9. So I guess I could just use that for both?
@@bluegrassbodybuildingfitne406 yes that would work.
What about the battery. time frame of hours of use and charge time ?
incredible!!!!!!
Like em a lot, perfect for what I do. $3800 is steep though. I ll have to jerryrig my prowler
3800 isn't anything compared with a Hobie + cost of powered drive.
@@pain_weaver , nah too much, I would rig my kayak like Steve from key west kayak fishing instead
Do you prefer the old Town kayak or the hobie pro angler
Can't wait to see you fish it in the marsh. Does the motor pop up when it hits bottom?
How much the kayak Indian rupee Thajudeen from Kerala
In Texas this boat needs registration, right?
Yes
Should've hit Aliex...test out the stability ;)
I figured he’d flip himself already.
@@RXAngler he might need help, that new kayak looks super stable
Awesome, can you swap in the peddle drive
no
You made the comment about how “big” you are when talking about the seat. Exactly how big are you? Thanks
Nice kayak 👍
thanks brother
If nothing else, your great at going right at another kayak.

I want to see one with a boonedox landing gear attached to it. Hook it up man! LOL
Battery life and cost is the decision
I swear I didn't hit your yak on purpose my camera fell... Or did I??? Lol
😂😂😂
Awesome video and super cool kayak . What's the price point on them?
$3799
$5000 cool.
I can't wait until they add toilet and beds .
How wide is it?
Depends on the model but I believe he said the autopilot was 34"
hobie who I know people with bass boats that don’t have spot lock
Hobie 360 or this ? 🤔
(This)Spot lock!
