I've been using mine for about two weeks, it is as if the brightness of the screen is not uniform - the center is brighter than the edges. I don't have a calibration tool to measure (/prove) it, but seeing similar comments in other reviews, led me to the conclusion that mine is not a faulty unit, but that all these panels suffer from this. I would really want to know if you encountered the same issue.
Yes, the joystick is (too) hard to press but easy to shift to the sides. BTW, it is now my second unit because I found a bad pixel in the first one. the same issues screens' non-uniform brightness. @@villekoskela9073
Becose its much cheaper than the asus monitor so thats why the stand is cheaper with the same panel specs than the expenaive one with a lttle bit bether brightness.
I'd say it depends what you're using your monitor for at the time. I found it impractical to do it every four hours, as it often popped up mid-game. If I was running the desktop and working with lots of static images, I'd do it more frequently (like if you take a quick break, as it takes IRO 10 minutes). When you're watching movies or playing full screen games I just ignored it until the end of my session. I've only ever tested these monitors for about a month, though, so can't comment accurately on the best long term best-practice.
Hey Techteam, I'm new to PC person, as I've been more of a console guy. I wanted to ask your opinion on the monitor I'm thinking of getting to go with the OMEN 40L Desktop GT21-1490xt. It's Windows 11 Home with an Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM. It has a 1TB SSD, with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. I was thinking of getting the Acer Predator XB283K KV from Amazon.
I just ordered this one. Here in Denmark it is by far the cheapest way to get an OLED gaming monitor. I paid 5000DKK which is around 725 USD which doesn't sound that cheap until you take into account the 25% general sales tax here in Denmark. So if I remove the sales tax I got it for around 580 USD. So the higher price you mentioned in the video seems to have been a just for launch thing. Admitted, I did get a good deal with around 50 USD cut off the normal price. But even at the normal price it is still around 100 USD cheaper than the second cheapest OLED gaming monitor.
Can you make a recommendation for a monitor for gaming that is either calibrated or usually accurate enough to do serious content creation. Currently using Asus PA24V 1200p monitors but they only go up to 75hz.
Monitors which are actually somewhat properly calibrated are very few and far between in fact, regardless of the price (well, except for ridiculously expensive professional models). Gotta get yourself a colorimeter if you want color accuracy. Though I may suggest looking into HP Omen 24i. A rare exception.
I had the same issue with the Soider X Elite - colour accuracy readings were wildly inaccurate, as were gamma readings. I believe this to be a result of the speed that AL is applied. I always run a side-by-side comparison with a calibrated display, and as far as naked-eye observations go, I saw no difference.
As if $350 monitors dont have enough options atm lol This is how innovation works. $700 monitors now will have new models cost $400 in less than 5 years

I don't get why then don't stop adding HDMI 2.0
It now has a new price at 549 Euros :) great price. Cheapest of these 27 inch Oleds brand new. 3 big retailers are selling it at 549 now.
Got this monitor for 500€. I am incredibly happy for the price.
Wow, where you get it ? Please share.

Does the OSD joystick button have a bit 'soft' feeling when using left, right, down and up? Middle select is very clicky tho?

Why do all these manufacturers ruin the bottom bezel with the addition of plastic or gaudy brand names ????
