Wow, I thought mine was Rusty! After seeing my 65’ transformed into a Show Car Restomod at Mustang Restorations, I now know and understand the process this car will undergo to make it better than new. Will be fun to watch. Every Mustang Has A Story - This is just another chapter in this cars life the owner will enjoy telling in years to come.
The Sprint sticker on the tailight panel, is a nice touch. Looks like lots of work, but being a Black, K code, it’s worth it. I use to walk to school everyday past a black GT convertible.
A major find and score. With the rust free suspensions available from Arizona and NOS parts this will be a great car. The shift from 100 pct concours to NOS/Restomod is well underway. A, K Code built to current specs in a traditional yet Restomod look will be cool. Let’s see what you guys do with it!!👍
I don't even like Mustangs(I've only owned one-69 Mach 1 3514V 4spd...Rattletrap).This one is something I would put the work into...There's nothing like a car with a solid lifter motor and a 4spd.and it's black!!! NICE FIND!
Doubtful. It was acceptable at the time and now to transfer over to a different unibody that has some metal. Just like a body shop or dealer would fix it if the unibody was not repairable. My friend has a 350H that was a front total and he transferred it all over to his FB car. Sure it is part of the story but do you have the money that car is worth now restored?
I can't believe its been almost 30 years since I searched Auto Buyers for 9 months to find a 65 289 4spd numbers matching fastback. In daily driver condition, it was about $6,300.00 Now a rusty shell costs that much.
I've got a restorable '65 K coupe I will be selling at some point. No drivetrain but it has nothing but age surface rust and some of the normal floor rust. Very little body work needed. They stopped making them in 65.
Curious…what about this story is “fishy”? Your brain wouldn’t be able to process the complete story about this car and her family so it’s been cliffnoted for public consumption. I’ll tag you when the autobiography is released 😏
🦮 rough rough 🤣car is in very bad shape i doubt it would pass an MOT inspection🤣i would NOT try to jack it up the car is like a banana and as rotten as a pear!
Vin tag looks salvageable!

Must have been a real nice ride when new. Triple black 4 speed with the solid lifter engine. Must have been quite a driving experience.
Can't wait to see this one come back to life!

Yes restore this car. I’m not a huge mustang fan, but I can’t wait to see the restoration video.
Looking forward to seeing more of this one!
Has to be one of the most valuable '66 convertibles of them all. A tremendous project, but justified in this case.

The work involved is worth watching in future videos!
The thing is long gone, just the serial plates left!
There is not a single body part or subframe part usable on that car.
Left headlight surround looks usable!
Build a brand new car around the vin tag
@@davidjohnmiller4849 That is how it is done. Part of the story but just how a dealer or body shop would fix it.
Good luck finding another one.
Stop being ignorant this is real deal
Why didn't you put wheel dollies under the tires instead of stressing the frame, springs, and axle like that?
Because they were either stupid or to lazy.
Because all of those things will be replaced anyway.

Beautiful, just needs 100k to be perfect 😀
I'm sure someone would have loved that leaf spring coming through their windscreen. Very lucky. Maybe a cargo net next time would be a good idea lol.

Just discovered your channel. I’m in! Love it. 🇬🇧
At least it came with a pair of sunglasses! WIN
That’s got to be a harbor freight jack, mine sings the same tune every time I use it!
That was a really nice car one day.
That's gonna be a VIN swap for sure. Well, at least you got a desirable data tag and a nice pair of sunglasses.
Anything can be fixed. Just depends how determined you are and how big your pocket book.
Right up Ben Pederson’s alley and apparently the car is already in Pennsylvania
Hey driver, pour dawn with a little water on the bed under the tires, you're welcome.Easy on, easy off!
That '65 convertible's gonna need a lotta cans of Rust-Eze applied before it can feel like its old self again!🤣
You will put more money in that than it worth

Definitely a code blue for the Doc
This car just made me a subscriber
I get that its a K-code, but there isn't anything left of the car to save. I dont see 1 usable piece.

That one looks like she cleaned out a few ditches .
What's original, the vin tag when it sells 😂😂
Hopefully the engine, trans, 9" rear end to start with. I bet a good amount of the interior and top frame and the glass.
Wow. Looks like a future VIN swap if you sell it as-is.
Ship of Theseus proposition.
Tetanus shots up to date???
The Titanic is in better condition whats the point?
Are they trying to fold it up? JK 😮
i
It's a creampuff nothing 200lbs of Bondo and cardboard won't fix. Flippers dream
Sometimes the crusher is a better option😮
Get it running as is and you would be the patina pro
I want to see the after results from dipping
Not much to dip. The vin tags and roof stuff looks to be the only usable metal. Maybe a few brackets. . Dynocon
You mean we will see nothing? Empty chains, sorry to say
Gotta be honest the story behind the car seems a little fishy... but that gonna be a awesome build!! Can't wait!! Good luck guys..

Is this a rare model?
A Little crusty but nice find
looks like it folded up like a lawn chair
The super loud tow truck makes it hard to keep the volume on.
Why ?
Invest into lots of Kroil, with a lot of steel fabrication. Best of luck. Wow, that is ruff!
How not to load a flat bed. Good gosh
😎. Cool..
That driver wanted that off his truck!
You can tell the frame is rusted and the car is bowing in the middle. Not much to save their that's going to be expensive.
So you get a VIN then replace every thing around it to have this car again New Sub here I want to see how this 1 turns out
what are the plans for that rusty turd?
replace the unibody.
all you have is a vin. plate
All that is needed
Looks like time for a rebody unfortunately I
Lucky duck
🦮 rough rough 🤣car is in very bad shape i doubt it would pass an MOT inspection🤣i would NOT try to jack it up the car is like a banana and as rotten as a pear!
Restored😢
That’s a swamp find
A crustang.
Crap music. Why? So bad I had to mute the audio. And what a POS car!
Age related dints and scratches ,may need some mechanical and cosmetic restoration 🤔🤷♂️😂 ‘land of the brave’
Too far gone
Boat anchor, nothing left.
Sent one of those to the junkyard, way better condition than that.
Somebody grounded up, and turned it into a KIA
MORE Money, Than BRAINS....JUNK,Junk,junk...Surrender it to Toyota Jan and Make A 2024 Baby Tundra out of it.
if it had been a "barn" find - i can see restoring it ... but this just another pile of shitte
