looks good. on a seperate note - i keep a dark blanket over the parcel shelf and rear head rests - it stops the sun bleaching them and turning them blue.

    Good job!
I also have an mk8 5 door civic, but i would like to install a mugen style spoiler on it. Is it possible to install just like you did with this type r spoiler?
    Thank you in advance!

I have the same civic/colour etc...tbh lookin at that I wouldn't done it....if it was ment to have a spoiler attachment it would be there...the spoiler black doesn't match the factory window black so it doesn't look that good..but it's a good idea.

Job well done mate. I'm really impressed with the end result. Just want to ask some question about this task
    1. Just like you I also have a 5-door Honda Civic Mk8 hatchback that doesn't have that accessory spoiler. I'm not keen on drilling holes on the trunk due to the possibility of water leak. Do you suppose polyurethane glass glue will do the job of keeping the spoiler in place?
    2. How "water-tight" is the setup so far? Any issue with water leak if it's raining?

I just don’t trust sticking these down with silicone , I’ve had no water ingress into the boot at all if you were at all worried you could also apply a bead of silicone around the holes .

I had mine glued, the guy said he used the type of glue normally used for fixing windshields. Have done 120 000 kms since then, including 200km/h + on the german autobahn from Leipzig to Frankfurt, hasn't fallen off! :p

I'm noticing that the rear lights have a black frame around, did you put black silicone in the gap that is prone to be filled with mold??

It’s a standard Type R spoiler from an FN2 lots on ebay , buy a Genuine used Honda one far superior to a cheap fibreglass copy .
