This is the best space scene ever.. but I know guys will say about other movies and stuff but the production quality today can never be compared to the 60s,70s,80s,90s or early 2000s
I saw this in Imax 3 D and it's honestly the biggest emotion I ever had in a movie theater. It was gripping, exhilarating, exhausting. Cuaron is a genius.
This scene with the music "shenzhou" is too cool, gives me goosebumps every time I see it. Gravity is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Awesometacular!! ☺️
This by far is one of the Best Clip of this ReEntry sequence where Dr. Stone is coming home onboard the abandoned & dying TianGong >>> Thank You So Much Richard Parker for the efforts & for sharing! Stay Safe! 🕯🌷🌿🌍💗🕊
When I saw this movie in the cinema, I was delighted! but when I saw this part, I cried a lot and with feeling, for the soundtrack, Sandra's performance, the effects and mainly for seeing my beloved earth.... I love you mother earth!!!
I love every comment on every one of these clips. I don't get it when people complain about that one scene (the one where Matt lets himself drift away) -- okay, yeah, it's not the most physics-accurate, but they're not really setting out to make hard sci-fi. I mean they did a damn good job of making sci-fi, but Gravity imho isn't really about a woman that gets stuck in space. It's about a woman who's stuck in grief. The space thing is almost one long extended metaphor. That's why this scene is so moving to us; she's choosing to stop floating around in the black. She's choosing to fight for a chance to live, even if it kills her to try. I've been trying to figure out why 2:54 moves me so much, and I think I finally have an inkling: it's because that is the very first time we see daylight on earth. Not earth from 200 miles up, not the blackness of space and a globe far below... but a recognizable blue ocean, golden land. It's the first moment it feels like Ryan Stone has made it back to earth.
Few years ago,I thought of killing myself.but, this film gave me a hope to relive my life.I am 21. Thank you,ALFONSO CUARON SIR for saving my life .My favourite filmmaker of all time😊😊😊.Hands down🙌🙌🙌
What makes you move against all odds? This movie is deeply and secularly spiritual... Only a few times in Cinema I was so shaked after watching a movie
I love how all of the alarms are going off and in a normal situation she would be trying to address whatever was setting them off with three other people. But here it's just her and it's either going to work or it's not. There's nothing else to be done. And she knows and accepts that and just sits back and rides it down.
Wow! Those Chinese know how to build a re-entry vehicle. My heart was pounding not being sure if the spacecraft would withstand the intense beat. It did! What a "hell of a ride" & story to tell . . . .
Its time to break Gravity. To endure gravity in our own life, Achieve new heights in life which we thought only in dream, Break Gravity of Darkness, Come out of Gravity force of any addiction which pulling us behind, Injustice , Incompleteness. Break Gravity. Its time to touch dream. Feel It. its time to go home.
I enjoyed this film very much, as I have all of Miss Sandra’s films. I thought the sparks coming from the console was a little cheesy, but what would I know?😁 Thanks
I would have to assume any craft spinning out of control during re-entry with absolutely burn up because heat shields do not cover the entire Craft only The Craft surfaces facing the Heat
Unlike the shuttle the Soyuz pretty much can just find its own way purely on its aerodynamic design. The centre of mass is off centre so that they can roll and steer it to some degree. Unfortunately, on an emergency return it will probably be set up for two men and as such it will slow faster which means instead of *only* 6g, she'd probably feel more than 9. I love this scene because it really does convey how things go from peaceful to face disturbingly violent as she starts to slam in the atmosphere in an act of total faith. Once you decide to de-orbit you better really mean it!
The don't overtake it, it slows down and pass it which is subtly different. The re-entry module is designed to brake on the atmosphere, it has a blunt front end on purpose to keep the compression wave as far ahead as it can and reject the heat. Anything else that is dense will slow down less and hit it from behind. Meanwhile less dense bits slow down more. That's why the debris field spreads out dense bits first. When you're in space the ground appears to move gracefully, you barely notice that you are doing 17,500 mph and you will have to slow down and loose all but 10mph in about 7 minutes. In the Soyuz that means she will feel 6g at the point of maximum aerodynamic load. The Soyuz is steerable believe it or not and they can keep the g in check, but in an emergency return all bets are off and the g could massively exceed that. The fact that its probably set up for two men and their crap means that it will likely descend too steep for her weight and so she'll slow more than they would probably 9g or more.
This is the coolest part of this whole movie. Breath taking sequence.
ISS destruction scene. NASA is on the record as not liking it.
Gravity movie 2013
@@josephastier7421 no its because its getting old
The iss Is In need of replacement
This is the best re-entry scene in movie history till now! The music, the camara angles, the cuts. Stunning!

@@h.gakuru7472 nah the best space scene ever is the docking scene from interstellar
@@stephencoleman1936 for scifi movie yes but this is good for a realism movie
I wonder how her capsule reoriented itself after it split off from the two other sections of her Shenzhou module, automated RCS perhaps?
I saw this in Imax 3 D and it's honestly the biggest emotion I ever had in a movie theater. It was gripping, exhilarating, exhausting. Cuaron is a genius.
It's a shame as I feel this movie was meant to be seen in Imax. It was amazing when I saw it in Imax
This scene with the music "shenzhou" is too cool, gives me goosebumps every time I see it. Gravity is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Awesometacular!! ☺️
When facing ones mortal end to the journey of life - I hope that I too could be as brave. A noble inspirational clip. It is what it is.
How to ride it home like a boss. Burning up, every alarm going off, fire and smoke in the cabin...just a 50/50 shot you make it or you don't.
Remember, she went home still attached to the station itself.
Best movie climax I've ever seen.
The music score for this film sequence makes this scene a masterpiece and makes the entire film truly epic.

Best scene in the entire freaking movie.
Epic!
Amy yes
So epic through my tears. Im crying.
In one word...EPIC!!!

I must have watched this clip 25 times of more. It is inspiring.
LOVE that earth scene at 2.55 *__*
...she deserved an Oscar for this...
+Vasilis Neoxorlis Yes she did, there is 0 doubt about that.
How do you not win an oscar if you literally crashed to earth from space? She risked her life just to make a movie so that shit deserves an oscar
r/woooosh (space debris flies past)
Cate Blanchette also did great as Blue Jasmin..
i don t know, i m not really overwhelmed by her acting. It s not bad but it s not particularly impressive either. She s just panting while talking

the whole movie is all about the best scences, so many of them, actually
2:54 The moment you realize she's been holding tears on her eyes
"Gravity" is one of my all time favorite movies.
It mirrors my belief that if you face a problem you can overcome that problem.
What makes you move against all odds?
This movie is deeply and secularly spiritual... Only a few times in Cinema I was so shaked after watching a movie
I always cry at this scene
So beautiful and haunting. Sandra Bullock was amazing in this. And Alfonso is a genius director.
That's it!!! Bring it on life.. "Am ready"..
Can you imagine the relief of feeling that parachute open and deceleration...
This is the best female action hero movie ever! And I love the fact that she's a scientist. Yeah, science!
Now this is how you do an ending!
Très beau film et scène de fin magnifique!
The music makes me wanna cry. Steven Price is God Tier.
2:55 Beautifull scaneee 😍😍
Es una belleza la excelencia de esta gran escena, el momento en que va entrar a la atmósfera.
There's a beautiful irony in such a triumphant track being played while a woman is literally crashing from the stars.
Soaring back to earth amidst a shower of comets.
It doesnˋt get any better than that.
this scene, the visuals, the music and her acting, everything drove my emotions!!!
I love how all of the alarms are going off and in a normal situation she would be trying to address whatever was setting them off with three other people.

This story touches my soul, I want Alfonso Cuarón to direct my life
Absolutely amazing
nice
the end scene of this movie/reentry was the best part
imagine if this was real life and u just look up and see this
Her pronunciation of ‘Tiangong’ is pitch perfect.
When you start to re-enter, you start slowing down. You're not experiencing micro gravity anymore.
why am i crying...?
Que belleza visual.

That shot at 2:55.
I did not really like the movie (the scenario), but this scene is one of my favourite of all time.
Ray yes!!!! That’s my best part of the movie. It was like shooting stars... STUNNING!
I haven't watched the movie yet, not wanting a spoiler but why did she wait to separate the capsule at that late stage of the game?
The astronauts say they will have illusion when they reach space, like the view turned upside down.
The electronics were shorting like a Wal-Mart holiday lights.
Yup 'shenzhou' bring you home hahaha
Minimum dialog, all from scenery and music score. Awesome.
How did they film everything burning up without the camera burning up too? And the balls on bullock for filming in space wow
Day 4-
First day was pretty cool
I didn't know the capsule was designed to right itself. That's so cool.

There would negative g forces, so the floating objects about the cabin would be wrong. But a good movie production.
the chinese ship tiangong!! 天宮 means heaven palace 🇨🇳
Why didn't the jettison the service and docking moduoe
This movie is totally eyegasm.
It has to be the 9 out of 11 clips.
Best scene
I rate this scene 9/11
Very dramatic. Sandra was marvelous.
Just to think this almost happened a few days ago
reminds me of a story Houston...
never mind the story

Favourite scene of my favourite movie
1:39 That's the debris field again, right? How did it drop altitude, and why are the pieces not burning up?
And how can they overtake each other?
Did anyone noticed elephant?

such re-entry scene, only Hollywood can make it. others are only attempts that try to be like this
Ayoo the Camera man tho!
Was it necessary to fall in water ..lake😑😑😑🤔🤔
well, if you're falling and there is a big body of water ..lake under you, it sort of is.
Quick question: why can we hear the sound of TianGong parts gliding in space?
Because this is movie, need entertaining. You want to watch silent movie, go back to last century.

Peace of cake they forgot.

Where is the space underwear scene?
And nobody realizes the 9/11..

How do fragments of the spacecraft overtake the re entry module in space? How is it possible?!?
