UA-cam notified me that you tagged me in this video and I am so glad it did! Even though I have the same machine I still found myself watching and listening to your entire video! I've subscribed and am now off to see what other videos you have. Thanks for the shout out and tagging me so I found your channel! :)
Thank you Dean, very informative and yes I for one would be interested in watching some more videos of how you can achieve different results, always thought an engraver would be handy to lightly burn a design onto a piece to use as a pattern for a hand carved design instead of drawing by hand.
They certainly aren’t for everyone but they can do so much it’s bonkers. I’ll be doing a short about it removing rust from stuff, I’m old but that’s living in the future to my delicate brain lol
@@WoodworkJourney I remember when 3d printers and laser cutters first started to appear on the market for non industrial users and they were very basic, the improvement in the quality and efficiency that todays models have is amazing and while I'd love one because as you've shown they are so versatile but I struggle with the IT side of things, I need plain simple instructions in a manual, using jargon and hiding functions inside folders and drop boxes makes my ludite brain hurt 😁, it's refreshing when someone like yourself takes the time to show and explain to people some of the functions and how they are used, I always look forward to your videos and I'm glad your channel is gaining viewers and subscribers, take care and thank you once again.
Even though I most likely will not get or need one, this was an informative video for those who are thinking of getting one or who are on the fence. Like the way that you show the whole thing including the problems one may face when using one.
The video is not too long at all Dean! Interesting stuff mate! Kinda wished I bought this one instead of the Longer RAY5 10W..., I must admit having a bit of cold feet getting started, and this one seems really user friendly! Maybe Xtools are reading the comments and decide to send me one as well 😄😄 Bought it to make some builders logos with it to put on furniture and other stufff I make.

Hi Dean hope your well, amazing bit of kit, it's good what you can do with this laser, Interesting to watch and a good engraving I would love to have on of these. as always a great video Take care
Great video. I'm inspired and looking into the depth of my wallet to see if there is any way I could justify buying that set you are using there. I think the obvious use for it for me is branding my creations and try to break into the market of personalisation of various products, be it something I've made or something customers have themselves. You've got some great content on your channel. I'm glad I found it. I've got a lot to learn but hopefully will get there soon.
Excellent video Dean! Regarding the Xtool vs Lightburn. Xtool makes great machines, but they are very expensive. For what lightburn costs, it would be cheaper to buy a different brand and lightburn. But it's good that they sent you your machine for free
Thanks for another 'real' video Dean, a bit out of my price range TBH so i'll stick with my Otur LM2 which does what i need currently. One question tho', the air quality meter? seem a great idea, any info on it? Thanks again.
Crackin good video mate. Picked an F1 up a few months back and have been enjoying figuring it out like yourself! Where did you get the makers mark blanks? Been looking for some.
Can the xtool f1 cut other than black acrylic...It does a great job cutting black but when I use another color...it doesn't work. thanks for your help.
I haven’t tried it, but I would suggest two things. Cover the other colour with a black paint that can wash off like when engraving glass, and get into the F1 Facebook group, they’re a helpful bunch

Hey Dude! Thank you! I hope your workshop build is going well!
Excellent stuff. I've got the XTool M1 and I love it. Great for seasonal gifts, and it uses up loads of scrap wood 😉
Fantastic! They are the kind of machine you don’t think about until you have one, then they’re super useful
Great Video - Much better than so many "this is a tool" reviews - Tell XTool it was worth the wait
Thanks
Lovin the purple stain fence by the way!👍
Thanks, but, I don’t know what you mean 😬

Very nice tool. Not sure I am ready to invest in one yet. Good demo, thanks Dean
They definitely aren’t for everyone, but I thought my take on having a laser may be interesting 😊

I would love to see the rust removing video!
Thanks Dean
I’m working on it soon
Great video. I've been looking for a good review of the X1. Thanks for the information. I'd like to see more on this.
I’m glad it was useful

Hi Dean, I'm still in the researching stage and your video is so informative, many thanks and especially for the detail in using the software.
Glad it was helpful!
Wonderful video. Very helpful. I will be buying the F1 soon so I am happy to see this honest overview. Thank you.
Did you get the F1 yet?

Tell us about the air quality monitors.
Excellent video Dean, that’s a great compact unit, very impressive 👍. If you’re going to offer a service, I’d be interested in some medallions 😁.
I am way too useless to do orders for people, but I appreciate the misplaced confidence lol
@@WoodworkJourney😂 that’s a great shame, you could have a nice little sideline there ☹️.

I can definitely see the benefits of the F1, but also see it’s not the solution for everyone

Just off Amazon fella
hi Dean, yes please for more videos like this and how you achieve your results. Also can you advise what the air quality meter is that yo are using?
Thank you! Unfortunately Amazon doesn’t seem to stock it any more but I’ll see what I can find
Hello mate, new sub here from the recommendation from start making👍
Brilliant, I hope you enjoy the channel, thanks!
this was very thorough, ty.
How do you replace the lense when you need to?
No idea, I didn’t know that was a thing

13:35 What you see here are the red and blue focus lasers, NOT the diode and IR laser, as you incorrectly stated in the video.
I disagree
Again wantttttt oneeeeeee lol . Don't want a lot but verything 😁
