Technically, yes, but from a safety perspective its a little inconclusive. Apparently pure PLA is fine, but many PLAs have additives (ie PLA+) that may contain traces of PVC that can cause very bad, toxic times.
For the amount of work, and level of work I do, I have a Laser Pecker 1( which is about the size, shape of a tennis ball. ($425) Yes it takes minutes rather than seconds, but does the job for me. My logo is as you can see from my Comment line. It can engrave up to 75mm. And a lot more portable. I could not justify the $1500 +
If you went for a branding iron that was around 75mm square, you'd be looking at more than the price of your laser anyway! (Plus you'd need a 200w+ electric soldering/branding iron to heat that up, and they're a pretty penny) I think that size/format - and especially price - is perfect for most woodworkers wanting a branding iron
OMG the moment the music started. You win the internet today
At the price point, I think the protective glasses should be included. I bought two, one for me and another set for who ever is about the shop.
Matter of fact he’s lasering now 😂😂😂
That made my day, a hard earned laser for a hard earned tool or something like that. Could not stop laughing with the music
For coasters and tiles this is fast enough for a production machine.
Great video as always. Decisions decisions. Should I buy this..... Will my wife get upset with me..... 😂
Infinite custom jewellery might lower the upper limit of anger from her? ;)
Best laser video intro ever. 🍺🍺🍺🎉
Can you engrave on PLA from a 3D Printed product?

You can in fact see the approx laser time in the software

1600Usd? Wowie
Did not think VB was going to be in the directors cut. This is an interesting machine indeed, especially for branding alone 🪙
If Carlton & United Breweries/Asahi strike me down, I'll just become more powerful 🤣
@@TheWoodKnight worth the strike 🤣
