No difference. A custom animation only means that you design your own behaviour using the smart animation-feature.
How would you save this pitchdeck? As a PDF?
I don't understand what you export it as that keeps it interactive? Surely a PDF won't behave the same way as Figma does?

How do you record the final interactive prototype? I want to create an animated carousel but where it’s not based on drag or swipe but just moves on its own [like a conveyor] can I do it in figma or do I need another app for that?
You can screen record your prototype on your laptop.
When you're done with this, what can you export the presentation as to present it to a client? Do you expect them to open figma and look at it there? PDF wouldn't really translate all the motion and interactivity.
I see this is great when u present in figma, the problem comes when you need to export and use a ppt for example. .

Does the ultimate master class come with the design system?

Every time someone is doing a recorded prototype demo in Figma they remove the insanely slow opening process of Figma. Just like done here. Wish Figma would improve that. It's slow no matter what amount of data it's processing.
