Hi, I would like to take 360 degree pano with this pan and tilt kit. Does it has function “360 degree pano” to choose in just one click? Or we only have to do “Start and Stop point” manually? Thanks
Pretty good product but I'm looking forward to being able to save my favourite template and not have to re-create it every time I open the app. Any plans for this feature in future updates?
Hi looking hard at this product for shooting still panoramas for interiors and vr. I think I can overcome the Nodal point. Is there a way of shooting so the camera shoots up and down rather than around? And is there a way of reducing the number of zenith and nodal shots needed? Typically, a 20 mm lens might need eight shots at the equator and at 60 degrees up, only 5. Doesn't matter for the odd pano, but can make a difference when you shoot lots.
Really dig your products... questions: will using a simple QR adaptor with a nodal slide effect the balance of the camera with Genie Mini II Pan & Tilt Kit... especially with a longer lens such as a Niko 70-200mm lens? Thank you and be healthy
At this stage we have not updated the Pan Tilt Bracket, you can attach a 3rd party plate to the bracket in order to get more movement back and forward to centre yor nodal point
@@nosky4673 so you have two version 1. I was wondering if yiubhave one version one and one version 2 . Maybe you can do a giga panorama ? I would hope you coild it would be very nice for astrophoto
Hi, using 1x Genie Mini II and 1x Genie Mini you can do a maximum of two rows of Multi Row panorama. Using 2x Genie Mini II you can do a maximum of 5 rows. This is due to limitation of storing memory on Genie Mini 1
@@SyrpLab The first app was always getting Lost during the shooting process of a Panorama I ended up buying a Manual Panorama head set up , But on a positive Note I updated the Genie two app last Night and noticed I can use the old Genie Minis for Panoramas :) I haven't tried taking one yet to see how it goes!
Sure, but with some limitations. If using Genie Mini + Genie Mini II. The max keyframes is 5 and the max rows of panorama is 2 (limitation of Genie Mini). Youcan check more about it here: syrp.co/genie-mini-ii-launch/
hi, bought a pan tilt syrp genie mini 2 to shoot milky way panorama, but, when it shoot , just after click , it will move immediately ( i try to take a 3 seconds shot, it move immediately after the shot, without waiting for the 3 seconds to complete )to the next position despite i have already increase the waiting time in between shots........... what can be the problem ???
Andrea D. N. They don't care ... in fact the Mini series is not able to produce a professional result for Panorama photographers. It's made for Timelapse or filming.
Will you sell these in a "pano" kit? your website only has kits for video/timelapse and what's the longest focal length that is doable on FF? thanks :)
Aidan Jaros Grilli there is only one app and it has has panorama built in, you can use it with the genie mini 2 pan tilt kit or the genie 2 pan tilt. Focal length is only dependent on payload . For genie mini pan tilt kit it’s 3kg. For genie 2 pan tilt 6kg. Hope it makes sense
Hi Steffen, will be there at some point in the future (we don't have a date for it yet), but as a workaround right now you can just increase the shutter signal time in the global settings and set your camera to bulb mode or auto bracketing
Nice to get the multi row feature. But only two rows with Version 1? Really? For me it is unusable. Sorry. I waited 2 years to get this feature. And now I know I waited for nothing. I will not buy to new Minis for 3 rows extra...
Almost there. Multi row means n rows, not two as @Steffen Sauer suggests. Portrait is a more useful orientation, yes I see this is possible, great there needs to be consistency in that process. Not sure the multi row set up is going to be precise, as I do not see this in this video - the selection does not really indicate what section of the view has been selected in real time. Also there is no option to focus stack during any of this procedure. I suppose you could repeat the entire panorama with a different focus distance ... but am not sure. Initial no parallax calibration also does not seem possible with this set up. Comments? Don't get me wrong I have great hope for this product and would be happy to assist in anyway I can, since I have now returned to Auckland to engage in landscape photography full time. I also have 15.5 years in software development behind me 8 years of that was in embedded application development; all 15.5 years was location based information. Please get in touch if you think I can be of assistance.
Hi Mark, when you click on a frame it jumps to that frame in real time, I think that's what you mean? We will add manual trigger soon so that way it moves to each position but instead of triggering you can tap the shutter on the app and it will take the exposure, this way you can adjust the focus at each frame. Parralax calibration is possible on some cameras, there is some reblancing of the camera in forward back direction and room to move there. In most applications especially for landscape it's not necessary. If you really want to centre your nodal point then a simple QR adapter will work and gives you more room to move to centre your lens. Thanks for watching!
@@SyrpLab cool. I'm very interested to know about the communication/relationship between head and camera. Is there sufficient information, in any pairings, such that actual focus distance can be AF'd in any way?
OK, where do you go to find advanced setting. It would be nice if you go to the complete app configuration for all the different possibilities with a beginner watching on you tube. You guys go to fast( I know you know it but we don’t.) Or is there a UA-cam movie that explains the app completely and succinctly. Time to get on board with the new dumb newbie. Your channel movies show all the advanced stuff but no basic shit.

How do you account for parallax?
software editing
Can you just do a single row while you have the tilt arm attached or do you have to remove tilt arm and fit camera to the base?

Will there be a Pan Tilt Bracket II that will support no-parallax multi-row panos?
At this stage we have not updated the Pan Tilt Bracket, you can attach a 3rd party plate to the bracket in order to get more movement back and forward to centre yor nodal point
So is a PTB II that adds no-parallax support for the tilting bracket something to look forward to in the near future?
Not for now, but we will keep you all updated if that changes :)
Could we command the Genie to start the new row from the left only? Not Zigzag .
Cheers
Hi,
Can this be done using the Genie II Pam & Tilt device (Not the mini)?
Hi, can i use genie minie to shoot with braketing or with intervallometer??? Sorry for my english
Can I combine it with the tracking kit for multiple sliding composites?
For sure you can combine Genie Mini II with Genie II Linear to create 2-axis motion control. If you add a second Genie Mini II you can create 3 -Axis
Hi.if i have genie mini version 1 and i buy a second one version 2 can i still do multtipanorama row or do we need two version 2?
I have 2 genie mini and you can’t do more than 2 rows. I know that doesn’t answer your question entirely

sure thing! We just shared one. Its there anything specific that you will like to see?
I love your products!!!
OK. Now what if you want a single row pano and you have the tilt bracket, does it always default to multi-row?
Hope its more Reliable than the First Genie Mini
Using the new Syrp Genie 2 app, I would say a lot!
