- The new Hyundai Verna 1.5 Turbo is ridiculously expensive now and makes 150HP. What if you have a older diesel Verna and want to have some fun with it? Well this 1.4 Diesel Verna has a 1.6L VGT Turbo and makes 150HP just like the new 1.5 Turbo! How is that possible? Watch the video to find out!

1.6D with just a Stage 1 tune goes bonkers 🥵
True
Lemme guess, faisal fan?😂
I have an i20 1.4 crdi (exact same engine) and I am drooling 😭
These bs4 Hyundai common rail diesels are absolute mile munchers and honestly pretty reliable
True that. With lesser weight too. Should be pretty quick.
6:26 that eeco overtook this mod😂😂
Omg soham babe is back
Hyderabad market is gaining traction on these car timings lately!
Old sedans of the same models are always better.
This is one clean Verna.
i feel this OEM + stuff is better for us since we can work on our cars while GOV cant do sh17.
OEM+ MODS & Tunes is the future.
This is some quality content
Appreciate, the owner for doing the DIY stuff, hats off👌
Is there any tune for Suzuki Kizashi 2.4L?
I wanna see fiesta tdci ....Noone have done engine mods in that 1.4 tdci engine
Is 1.4 D4FC CRDi tuning friendly?
This verna was the best looking verna
when did it come with awd
In my place , One of my Buddies have a Previous gen Verna 1.6 Petrol with a Turbo😉….
1.6 verna turbo vgt controller by ECU...how did owner controlling upgraded turbo in verna1.4 without ECU control option+wiring
Any upgrades for brakes bro???
Can we delete dpf of diesel bs6
Correction factor is on the higher side on the dynograph, usually a 1.06 CF is considered normal, this would mean that we are at a corrected figure of roughly 135-137 BHP, which isnt bad from what it produces stock. Can we have the full details of the dyno run?
Bro those guys are notorious for manipulating peak power figures by using high CF and sometimes even double the CF values !!!
@@jethalalgada5 Oh man, I got a reply from Jethalal, his supremacy himself 😅 On a serious note, yes you are absolutely correct, some unnamed tuners do use bonkers CF value to show maximum gains, I mean they would claim some ridiculous 200-250 hp with CF value of 1.5 and higher .
@@codenametremorhaha 😂😂😂 Yes you are right and these guys are actually amongst those type of tuners. For eg, they were showing random value of 20% SAE on a VRS 245 where the actual powertrain losses are just around 8%. Harmonixx tuning has got this covered on their ig handle.
@TheForgottenPahadi considering that's a FWD car running on a full-time AWD dyno, do you still think the CF is on the higher side?
@@jethalalgada5CF value chart is provided by Dyno manufacturer, cannot be manipulated, the dyno costs 3cr landing from Netherlands including dyno room, do you think someone will spend 3cr of their hard earned money to manipulate fanboys fantasies ? Want to get sued for defamation?
I think now, you need to introduce a course on mapping a car
You can do that on 1.5 crdi too , like in venue/verna/i20 have fixed geometry turbo plonk the vgt from creta , and you can extract 140hp as people have tuned creta has pulled those numbers
And that's where the difficulty is.. switching from FGT to VGT on this ECU.

1.6 CRDI Diesel Rocket 🚀
Bro 1.6 even better for more modifications 😊
150hp you gotta be kiddin that’s jacksh!t power
if u add a POV of u driving the car...it would be more interesting
I have a Hyundai verna 1.4 crdi cosmetically its been upgraded to Sx variant including an OEM Australian infotainment (Apple car play) no I really need to do some digging on the engine side as well. I really wanna see the owner of this car and discuss few things that how I can improve the stock horsepower equivalent to 1.6 L engine without changing the turbo, I hope that’s possible.
Can't call it as a Stage 3 more like a Stage 2 (OEM+) setup ! And also, Is the intercooler upgraded ?
They are calling it a stage 3 because of the turbo upgrade. Precisely why the terms like 'stage X ' upgrade make no sense.
@@jethalalgada5 I get what you're saying, but the "stage" terminology, including Stage 3, provides a general framework for enthusiasts to understand the extent of modifications. While it's not a perfect system and can vary, it helps convey that significant changes like a turbo upgrade have been made, which is useful for quick reference.
@@MahendranathMahi821 yes I fully agree on the part of numbers relating to the extent of mods, and yes definitely an OEM+ turbo upgrade would be a stage 2 upgrade. But probably they said it in more of an Indian context because here we tend to assign Stages by particular parts instead of the extent of mods, which would have surely been a more logical way.
Requesting for n number of times to Drivers Hub to make a video on Tuned Ford Figo 1st gen diesel 1.4 TDCi. It is the OG hot diesel rocket in India.
Yess i wanna do it in my Fiesta tdci ....noone have done it on UA-cam
@@giri....4680Is it 1.6 or 1.4 engine ?
In india it comes with 1.4 only
Bro is a type of guy will tune till stage 4 for 170hp
I need more info on this build. I'm really looking forward to do this in my Hyundai Creta 1.4 CRDI. It would really help me if you share some contacts of the people that are involved in this project.

Can we expect 220 horses from a stage 3 verna 1.6?
Let's be a bit realistic, 180-200 hp seems more doable but that too would require extensive hardware. The weak points for the Hyundai diesels is the stock crankshaft.
1.6 maybe?
Stage 2 produces 180-190 stage 3 maybe can do 220
@@dieselhead999 Don't believe all the claims by tuners you see on UA-cam, most of them themselves don't know how much the car is producing, for a 1.6 Diesel, 200 hp is the sweet spot where the engine can still work reliably. Not to forget that the closest competition, 1.6MJD is plagued with fuel rail over pressurization issue even in stock form, a stage 3 tune would require extensive supporting hardware to reliably generate good amount of horses. For a stage 2 tune, the 1.6 MJD produces 160 HP/380NM comfortably with the only change being, car delete, a free flow filter.
@@codenametremor there is a stage 3 1.6 mjd with the exact amount of torque which u mentioned
You can do 2.0 turbo from tuscon on 1.6d
@@lakshya7873 can we?
@@dieselhead999 yes like he has done on his 1.4 with 1.6

still maintaining a mileage of 11km/l
With 88,000 km, reving this modded engine to max RPM can cause be detrimental. Better to be gentle with the car, engine is driven enough to be modded actually.
Lot of Indians think 88k KMS is a lot! It's actually nothing! All big brands over-engineer their products and we are sure that modding your car, yes might reduce the engine's life slightly but nothing to scare you.
Us Indians have an incorrect outlook towards vehicles and that results in our car industry being one of the worst across the globe. 88K KMS is not a lot, please remove these myths & false information from your heads guys!
A car can do 3 lakh km still running all depends upon how you follow service interval and maintaining a car

Sadly illegal!
I don't think so
This guy is baffling. He says 10 years ago the Verna was half of the price of the cars in the same segment now but conveniently ignores inflation or he likely does not understand how it works. He then compares the torque of a diesel mill to a petrol but wait that’s not all, he then tops it all of with the statement of a 10 year old car having less things in it to break/ go wrong when compared to the newer ones. How about you compare a 90s car to the fluidic Verna then?
Shabby automotive journalism. Embarrassing to say the least.
Man, let these kids bark whatever, we know our facts anyway.
