As usual great practical advice from you. I live in Western Canada where Winters are long and real cold so our rides are usually parked by end of October and not out till the earliest mid April. I have always, 40 years and counting, parked my Classics in an unheated garage uncovered but have done everything you suggested except # 3 on your list . Once the car/truck is parked I do not start it till ready pull out of storage in the Spring and yes with a carb sometimes a little work to get em fired up but have never had any issue cause they weren't started up or tires flat spotted after sitting in the same place over the Winter. Looking forward to your next advice video..
If I have a car sitting for several months in storage when I start it I pull the fuel pump fuse first and spin it with starter, then replace the fuse and start it normally. That way it builds oil pressure at a low, easy RPM, vs. going to 2k rpm high idle immediately on an engine with no oil in the top end. My car would make some initial valve noise on first spring start up, but then I did the procedure above, and no more valve noise!
Too late. My ‘70 Chrysler was driven in to a garage 25 years ago like I was going to drive it the next day. Not looking forward to what I will find when I gain access to the garage again. At least it’s a fully enclosed garage.
Thanks 🙏 I’m up in the side about a cloth cover in my garage, I didn’t like anything on my paint even a cloth cover. I feel like I tend to and other people tend to set stuff on my car when a cover was put on it and they tend to get dusty and when I would take it off it just felt psychologically sand paper coming off my car. Anywho drove my car for awhile before I restored it and now it’s finished and up in the air about a cloth cover while in the garage
Moisture inside & mold! Avoid tight covers and fully closed windows, as moisture can build up and cause mold. Use dehumidifier cushions inside to prevent this issue.

Very helpful tips - thank you!
Excellent advice. Well done
Thank you
Battery tender work perfect. I put my Olds away in November and leave the tender on until my first start up around mid April.

I store mine in heated garage and disconnect battery. I'll charge it a few times a winter. My biggest worry is fuel going stale even with stabilizer.
use ethanol free gas, problem solved
I have a 1981 Cutlass & I took off the catalytic converter off for the first time from the factory and it had no inside???
Carb cleaner is smart
Great tips!
I have a 69 convertible Camaro. It rarely sits but good to know on all this just in case
With a newer vehicle, will the computer get goofy because of disconnecting the battery?

I would make it a point to use ethanol free gas or racing gas.
