I've completed my engineering from Thailand and I have been working as a secondary mathematics teacher in Thailand for past 7 year's, my degree certificates are already evacuated by WES Canada. I don't have any teaching degree, can i apply for a discretionary pathway nz ??
@@Lalitahire86 no if you don’t have a teaching degree or a 3 year diploma. But you can study one year graduate diploma in NZ and then apply for the teacher registration. While you are studying, you could easily get day a to day relieving job, since you have overseas teaching experience. Hope this helps.

Hi again, Hope you are doing fine. Actually I'm in a bit of a confusion on documents to be submitted to the teaching council. Could you please tell me what are the documents you submitted to prove the professional development as teacher here in Sri Lanka.
I had a few certificates attending seminars and workshops. Everything should be translated to English. I also sent proof for extra curricular activities such as invitations with my name (I was as the organiser of English Day), anything that you can prove as a teacher who is hardworking and committed.
Very informative video. I hope to get the teacher registration through discretionary path way and preparing documents these days. I'm an ESL teacher from Sri Lanka. Is it hard to find out an ESL teaching job for a non native teacher.
Thanks for the comment. Actually there are many opportunities and I myself started as an ECE relief teacher/reliever. Then I got a scholarship to complete a postgrad in specialist teaching. I was once an early intervention teacher and now I am a specialist teacher. My first job in NZ was a teacher aide in a special school. Relief teaching in preschools are better than in a school. I wish you all the best and let me know if you have any questions.

@@AnjuBattanHii dear can you please tell me about professional development list which teaching council is asking and what is it and in case if person don’t have this then is it compulsory please reply thanks
Hi. Thanks for the details. Im also hope to apply this pathway. I have Bsc and Msc degree with more than 5 years of teaching experience in science for secondary school. When i preparing the documents what should I upload as teaching practicum? Do you have any idea?
Teaching practicum means, when you were on training, the details of your supervised teaching. I am not sure if they want your teaching practicum details. Check, NZQA first to get your qualifications approved. My other videos have more information. Education Council NZ wants the NZQA assessment of your qualifications.
@@TravelalongNZ I applied for NZQA and waiting for my results. Meanwhile I’m looking for registration details. I dont have education degree, therefore I don’t have teaching practice certificate or teaching training. At this time of situation what can I upload for this? Do they accept diploma for teacher training?
@@hasichani9743 I think it's waste of money if you applied for NZQA assessment when you don't have a degree. They will say your qualification is not compatible. Do you have a 3 year degree diploma of teaching?
Hi! Could you share the appraisal document you uploaded? My current school also doesn't have a very specific system.
Hi sorry, I don't have it since I did it about 15 years ago. Google it and you may find many of those.
