We bought a condo that came with this issue 4 years ago. It recently started to become more pronounced and all the lubricant in the world had no affect. The noise was actually startling to the point that we were thinking of having the hinges replace or even a new glass door installed. One last search on UA-cam brought your video to light…less than two minutes later the noise was GONE!!! It’s Christmas Eve and my wife said this is the best Christmas present ever. Tears of joy. 😂 Thank you so much for sharing. Saved us a ton of money and frustration. You rock! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Marry Christmas to you and your family.
Wow, that loud snapping noise has been irritating me for [I hate to admit it] years!! Finally I googled and found your video. Problem fixed! THANK YOU!
Put up with the noise for 7 years and it was simple to fix. Thank you.
I lived with this popping for far too long. This video saved me. Thank you!
You are welcome
The hinge started popping and I had visions of repair bills, doors shattering, who knows, other than it was going to cost me, big time. Out of desperation, I Googled "shower door hinge pop repair" and boom, a five minute, no cost repair. A million thanks for this video.
That's why I made the video. You're welcome
Omg, I've been procrastinating re this for over a year now, thinking I'll have to replace the door. Such a simple fix. Thank you
🙏
Having just bought an apartment, I noticed the clicking noise in the shower door. After seeing your video, it’s now fixed. Thanks for sharing this easy solution to an annoying problem. 😊
You bet ya
Still helping people 4 years later. Thanks! 🙏
Ha, great short video to fix this issue. Listened to that crack/pop for the last year! Thanks!
You're welcome.
Worked great! My wife was happy with the results and disgusted that it took me so long get fixed. All is well! Thanks
Haha ditto! 😅

Thank you so much Richard! Finally fixed this irritating loud noise from the door!
You're welcome.
Thank you!!! Just had a shower retiled and used the old door and it is popping just like this. They had no idea what to do. I got the loctite tonight and will fix tomorrow. Thanks again for sharing!
Bane of my existence for five years and you helped me fix it in under two minutes....thank you.
OMG! You are amazing....been having this horrible clicking on our shower door and asking/begging the shower door installers to please come fix it for months. To no avail...thought I would check out UA-cam.....thank you thank you thank you for this wonderful advice. No more damn clicking and I can tell the installers to never mind if they even bother to call back.
OMG! Like others below, the popping noise was scary, like the glass door was going to crack. I re-leveled the doors even - and nothing. I never noticed the allen screws as they are small (#2) on my CRL Pinnacle offset hinge. In 30 seconds of tightening the top hinge's allen screws (bottom screws were still tight), the noise was gone! I can't believe how easy this fix is. Thank you!!!! 👍
Like many others I was frightened my glass door was going to shatter, the pop was so loud and violent, then 30 seconds with an allen key and problem solved. Many thanks Mate :)
same problem for a while, waiting for door to come crashing down. should have added donation link, this was valuable
Saved me 200+ dollars! Thank you!!!
My Friend...I was stressed for weeks as my shower screen popping sound got slowly worse, I'm expecting the glass to shatter at any moment soon, Just horrifying... My shower door clicking sound has bothered me for quiet a long time. Finally solve the problem with such an easy fix. I can't thank you enough for posting this helpful video. God bless you!
Our glass shower door was making a very loud popping sound. I did what you suggested and no more popping sound. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! I put some wd40 on it this morning and it made the knock waaay worse. With your video I was able to fix the problem before my wife found out!!!!
Thank you so much for this video! So easy! I was going to call our installer but thought I should research what they might need to do and I found this.
Thanks for this video. It saved me hiring a handyman to fix the clicking.
Worked great! Thank you for sharing. I thought adjusting a glass door would require a specialist. Happy to find it was such a simple fix.
Damn my glass door guy wants to charge me $200 to fix this problem. I'm gonna try this tomorrow. Thanks a bunch 😮
Thank you for this fantastic video! The popping sound has been bothering me for weeks. Was about to replace the door when I came across your video. Once again, thank you
Thank you so much! The popping was so loud on ours that it would wake our baby up. We really appreciate this video and can't believe how easy it was.
Thank you very much. After our top hinge loosened up, the wife and I fixed it ourselves but that loud popping sound started afterwards. Thank you for this video. Shower door is nice and quiet now.
You are welcome. This is the most personally satisfying video I've done thus far.
Thank you so much, you’ve saved me $500.
6 month old door and it started doing this. Thanks for your fantastic solution! Annoying noise be gone!
Thank you so much! This door has been driving me nuts, and your suggestions worked like a charm. Bless you!
Just letting you know you are a star !! Deeply appreciate the tip
Thanks for the quick fix guide! Save my life. 👍🏻
Thanks richard happy holidays it works😂🎉
Your welcome
Thank you! So easy and the job is finally done 🙏
Thank you I work for some apartments gonna try
So those are just set screws? Not for adjustment?
That is correct.
Thank you i thought they were for some adjustment. So the only adjustment screws are the ones on the inside part of the hinge , inside the shower right?
@@agustinherrera5600 I put together a video for you on how to adjust a frameless shower door. Let me know if it helps.
Thank you! That was driving me crazy!
Jazak'Allah Khair for the video brother!
Thank you very much 🤝 🤝 🤝
Thank you so much, worked like a charm! 👍🏻
Very helpful, Thank you
Hey , may I ask what liquid did you use ? For it not to make noise
Thank you! Problem solved!
Thanks very much for your video. It helped me solve the same problem!
What if the clicking hinge is the bottom? Do I need to use wedges so the door does not drop? Thanks
Fixing the clicking on the bottom is the same process. If your door has slipped in the hinge that is an entirely different problem and repair.
A $380 estimate from a stern-looking shower door specialist, who said I had to replace both hinges, pronto, before everything came down. What a lie. 3 minutes after watching this video, the loud popping noises were gone.
Amazing!! Thank you! So simple!! Love it!
what is that tube he used?
Worked for me. Legend!
My door makes this. The little allen screws aren't even in one of the hinges. Is there a standard replacement?
Is would be better if you posted a picture on my facebook page along with this question. facebook.com/groups/750569648699799
my shower door is attached to the ceiling and the floor using commercial hinges. all the screws are tight and is making those noise.

Door was clicking for 2 weeks and now it won't open. Thoughts?
we have a similar pivot glass shower door that makes the exact same noise when closing it...but the hinges are at the top of the door connected to a railing, as opposed to being connected on the wall. would we fix it the same way, but coming down from the top?
Pivot hinges are a different operation mechanism. Sounds like it needs replacement to fix it. Have an expert take a look at it to be sure.

Hi. I have this problem on my door at the moment but it looks like the actual hinge itself is falling off. It moves when opening and closing the door not just the sound you mentioned in the video
HI Simon, if the hinge is coming apart from the hinge plate which is attached to the wall then you will need to take down the door by un-scewing the hinge plate from the wall. There are screws on the back side of the plate which hold the hinge together. If they are stripped then you may have to replace the hinge.
If the screws holding the plate to the wall spin when you tighten them then you would need to take down the door by un-screwing them from the wall. Find some good anchors, we use these www.amazon.com/TOGGLER-ALLIGATOR-Flanged-Polypropylene-Fastener/dp/B0051IAWM2/ref=pd_ys_c_rfy_rp_all_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0051IAWM2&pd_rd_r=WBQH59NKVN1AHWQWSNRJ&pd_rd_w=prI2s&pd_rd_wg=unwYY&psc=1&refRID=654R7R1MCV98QCCFXVZ2 and replace and re attach the door to the wall. Taking a glass door off is pretty risky so be very careful and make sure the glass never touches any hard surfaces. Alway pad the floor before setting it down. We send out two guys and suction cups for a job like this. I hope this helps.
Excellent
I’m having problem trying to fit an Allen wrench to tighten it. Maybe the installer stripped them or I’m using the wrong size
Shower Door Help...first thanks for explaining what the problem was, that loud popping was driving me crazy. I went and tightened all the screws (added a little loctite), but I'm still getting a little popping. The screws can't be tightened any more than they already are, so what should I do next?
In some hinges there are two sets of screws, one on top of the other, one keeping the other from loosening. Take the one screw out and see if there is one just under it. If so, tighten that screw and replace the one on top of it.
It worked. Thank you so much.
You are welcome and thanks for viewing
What product are you using? Is it just a silicone drop?
You are a champion.... I can't thankyou enough =)
It works for me thanks alot
great video. Thank you! !!!
What liquid did you drop on the screw?
Awesome, thank you
What was the product you squeezed on the pins?
Its lock tight used on the screws, not the pin. Please re-watch before preforming this repair, lock tight is not a lubricant.
Thank you!
Thanks for this video..
Our pleasure!
Sir what was the stuff you put on the screws?
Loctite
Bummed.. didn’t work for me 😢
I did this and it did not work for me. The allen screws were loose so I tightened them down. The popping sound is just as loud as previously. Any other suggestions because I'm getting ready to replace the hinge(s)?
Probably replacing the hinges is best
@@RichardStelts correct
Good job
Would anyone please tell me what screws they are? Size and length. The house I just bought came with these popping shower door hinges, but the middle screws are missing.
Thanks
Missing as in there are holes with no screws or the hinges don't look like they were made with screws in that location? If the later, it might not be adjustable without taking the hinge apart. Different manufactures do different designs so you may not have an easily repairable hinge. You can email me a picture or short video to info@superiordoorandglass.com and I'll take a look.
@@RichardStelts thanks for the response Richard. Hinges have holes just missing screws. They look just like the one shown in the video. Would you be able to share info on the Allen screws used in the video? Thanks.
Hi may I know which Loctite did you use? I googled and realised there are different ones.
Blue if you want to adjust it later or Red if you want it to be permanent.
@@RichardStelts Ok thanks so much!
I have a squeaky frameless door hinge how do I get rid of the sound.
You can send me a video at showerdoorhelp@gmail.com and I'll take a look.
@@showerdoorhelp5427 I'll sure do that when the squeaky sound comes. It disappears every time I'm taking a video.
@@showerdoorhelp5427 hi I just emailed you the video! Really appreciate you taking a look.
@@showerdoorhelp5427 my door is making this pop sound. Please help. 🙏🙏
@@showerdoorhelp5427 I sent a video 🙏
What is the name of the stuff you put on the screws?
Nathaniel Kemp - Loctite.
@@kippis05 what is loctite? is it grease or what?
YIKES!??! RED Loctite??! I hope he meant BLUE 242 Loctite in the red bottle... RED Loctite requires the heat of a torch to remove, meaning you will never get these back out again!... BLUE 242 Loctite is my choice!
Dear sir , before 4 days I fixed new floor spring then he is good but now after 4 days cracking sounds coming from floor spring . Can you help me ? .sorry for my good English

@@showerdoorhelp5427 Hi-Mix brand . But now problem solved, thanks for reply.
Thank you!
