Great stuff! I live on the other side of the country…your quick video was informative and straightforward. As a homeowner looking to select the correct style for our new shower as well as ask the right questions to a prospective glass installer, your vid = SUPER helpful. Thanks!
Thanks!! It took longer to find a parking spot where I wouldn't get ticketed, then booted, then towed than to do the repair. Hoboken is difficult to service.
Reveals look good now. They should have put clear shims between the top of Glass and top u-channel at the upper right side to stop the glass from being pulled by the door. And absolutely, yes, swivel hinges at the transom would have solved the problem as well. Cheers!
For this design, The door should no more than 3/8" thick. BUT.. (1:58) If the side panel holding the door was installed with clamps INSTEAD of U-channels, THEN a 1/2" door would be fine. Thank you for watching!
I’m surprised the customer didn’t call you to sweep the glass up into a bucket. 😂😂😂Maybe in a couple more months. And you know who’s going to be blamed? The last guy to touch the glass. That’s why I wouldn’t touch that job with a ten foot pole. C’mon, even the original installer wouldn’t come back to touch it. What does that tell you?
You're correct 100% Luckily, I followed up with that client last month and it's working well. But your logic is correct. I've since not offered service calls for your exact reasoning.

Awesome! One is glad to be of service!
All your design observations are accurate. Too bad there is not a designer website for you to provide feedback to...
I agree! Thanks for the comment!
Spot on with everything you said. Now they need to buy a 3/8” door from you.
Where on gods green Hoboken would you park to deliver it though?
