- Porsche 718 GT4 RS sets new official lap time with Manthey kit
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS with Manthey kit has set a new official lap time on the Nordschleife. With Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister at the wheel, the 500-hp modified GT sports car lapped the 20.8-kilometer circuit in the Eifel region in 7:03.121 minutes ¬- 6.179 seconds faster than the standard 718 Cayman GT4 RS about a year earlier - under 18 degrees Celsius and cloudy skies. Both cars were equipped with the optionally available Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. The lap time was certified by a notary present on site.

How big is your table? Ridiculous. Do you say this on all the timed laps? As I see almost the same wording, but could not be bothered to go back and look. With MM 13 as a handle, it would not surprise me, Cu*t!

Easily sub 7’ if you consider 2-3 shifting mistakes, especially in first turn.

Dont understand the logic? Cold air more power and better cooling. The tires are obviously up to temparture driving a previous lap

He is driving the corners at 90-100 km. How do you physically even go faster than that
Thank you for this video. I must say somehow I just cant get exited about it like I do for 911 gt3 in all of its variants, maybe partly because of 720p or maybe because I have been spoiled by some many great videos from the ring. But mainly because for me 911 is the Porsche that I love, a Cayman doesnt do it for me. I like the 8000-9000rpm sound and was surprised when 7 gear came up, still getting used to the fact that cars have 7 gears. But anyways thanks for the video.
Wo ist denn der unterschied zwischen Gt2 Rs, Gt3 Rs und Gt4 Rs ? :)
GT2 und GT3 RS = 911er Chassis. GT2 RS Turbomotor, GT3 RS Saugmotor, GT4 RS ist Cayman Basis also schonmal eine ganz andere Basis. Motor dürfte der gleiche 4.0 Liter Sauger wie im GT3 RS sein.
Ergänzend: GT2 und GT3 Heckmotor, GT4 Mittelmotor Bauweise

Looks like the driver didn't feel comfortable with the car. Definitely had a lot more in the tank.
