Scientists: "EVs will save the planet" Millionaires: "I fancy an EV Supercar with 2000HP" Energy Companies: "Add extra 0 to everyone's energy bill" Government: "Grid can't hold so many electric cars. Put more taxes on cars so non-rich people have to use public transports" If I was the government of my country, I would limit the power per ton on electric cars, and tax the hell out of those with higher (more tax than combustion supercars). Having EVs wasting energy too fast is counter productive to what the EV was designed to be: eco friendly. Also having powerful EVs sucking the grid all the time, will saturate the grid and not make a good incentive for common people to switch to EV, because it is too expensive (unless gov also jumps gas prices, but that is the easy scummy way of saving the grid and push common people to public transportation, or maybe that is the necessary evil). EV Supercars are quite impressive in speed, and will become lighter and more efficient with more scientific development, but it is not reasonable to have these things sucking the grid and wasting it in a few hours or even minutes. Supercars is about thrill anyway, and without good exhaust note, agility and driver involvement, what is the point of EV supercars other than just go fast in straight line? Even Teslas I find excessive.
The funny thing about gas prices is that they actually are artificially lowered by your government If gas stations were selling gas at market value youd be spending several hundreds to fill up even a small car In fact the government taxes you for using solar panels because it is supposed to compensate for lost revenue from you not using the grid
This is just the beginning of the EV era. The battery technology will improve allowing for weight reduction. The hp is impressive but hp isn't everything on a track. Still it did a respectable time for the conditions and the acceleration is insane. They even had to limit the top speed to only 350km/h lol.
@@infiniteblaz3416 Sub 7 time would have been great but 7.05 is hardly embarrassing. (Old, slow American car that supposedly can't even go around corners, according to some Euro types)
2000hp??? 7:05....????😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
and it costs like 2 mil
Crazy..
토크백터링 기술 지리죠 그죠
Really fast car but the weight slows it down massively around the corners. The McMurtry (pure version) should easily beat this record and get the fastest production car lap
Not a roadcar, so irrelevant. Amg One reigns.
@@hasangenc2922 Are people retarded? In that case we'll call the Porsche 959 a street legal family car :)) . Regarding the AMG One,it doesn't cut in my eyes mate, GT2 is still the king in my view

There's a Nissan (but worth $200k) which can do at least 2 seconds faster than this lol.
Which one?
@@sssssss8946 You don't know fr?
@@a.m3687 if you talking about new Nismo, then idk, previous one was 8 seconds slower than Rimac,so who knows
Btw,i was expected Rimac to do under 7,but still not a bad time for a car that weights more than Urus
@@sssssss8946 You're right but the new GT-R Nismo is easily capable of doing sub 7. Incredibly fast for car that built on an almost 20 y/o platform.
Очень медленный в поворотах.
Может из-за веса?
Wieviel kostet bei denen eine 705? 😂
Porsche with half of the HP 6:47 or something like that. Sure e is future haha
nah the car is just not good. Can´t only blame the powertrain for that. btw porsche GT4 RS GT3 and GT3 RS have like 1/4 of the power. Even a panamera on road tyres with the rimacs weight is not far off the rimac.
not that i am an EV fan or i dont like Porsche, but the viability of a car is not measured by how good it performs on the NS. Not a single sane person will drive a Rimac like that on the NS.
It's not even a track weapon tbh. HP isn't everything. If the Lotus was this slow that would be a different thing.
look at little mcmurthy who is track oriented , ,,you will see it will smoke all those cars you mentioned@@TheSenfwurst
@@markoaaron8528 depending on setup and ride hight for the underbody aero this can very much happen. Don’t see any problem with that.
Watch videos of the Nurburgring mute on Lambos you will say that they are slow too we are too on the noise the silence disturbs should a sound sound no one would say anything it's crazy quznd even to associate a noise with performance ma.tronco makes more noise it breaks my eardrum to the secour
I think the car is just too heavy to do quick corners.
...so with almost 2,000hp it destroys everything in a straight line yet it is slower than a Porsche GT3 RS that has about 500hp around a track 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, yeah, not a fan of ev sports cars, i get my thrills from corners
Ok
...i goto comment more...guy just didnt use that torque vectoring 1%...just drowe it like normal racing car. THAT Misha guy drove that tesla faster in corners without vectoring, and thats like having 1000kg less...
Scientists: "EVs will save the planet"
Millionaires: "I fancy an EV Supercar with 2000HP"
Energy Companies: "Add extra 0 to everyone's energy bill"
Government: "Grid can't hold so many electric cars. Put more taxes on cars so non-rich people have to use public transports"
If I was the government of my country, I would limit the power per ton on electric cars, and tax the hell out of those with higher (more tax than combustion supercars).
EVs arent there to save the planet man.
The funny thing about gas prices is that they actually are artificially lowered by your government
If gas stations were selling gas at market value youd be spending several hundreds to fill up even a small car
In fact the government taxes you for using solar panels because it is supposed to compensate for lost revenue from you not using the grid
1983 porsche 956: nice try kid...
At least Tesla make a tiiiiii futuristic "motor sound"
Nah, Tesla is in no way cooler or faster than this.
Tesla is trash for hipsters.
Lächerlich die Zeit 😂
Ist halt auch nur ein E Auto.
Aber nun mal mit fast 2000ps. Die ganze tolle Leistung geht in Rauch auf. Einfach eine Blödsinnige Karre...
electric supercars are made for acceleration, not turning
Безумная мощность - круто, 2+ тонны веса - мешает. Сбросить бы ей массу - и рек обновился бы до космического. Попозже с новыми аккумами вернется)
If only they can put the selectable artificial engine noises, it is insane but just lacking the scream, well, other than the wind
Ok...bad driver wirh no ballz...period
2000 hp for 7:05? the future is lame. how about they try making something less than two tons.
This is just the beginning of the EV era. The battery technology will improve allowing for weight reduction. The hp is impressive but hp isn't everything on a track. Still it did a respectable time for the conditions and the acceleration is insane. They even had to limit the top speed to only 350km/h lol.
Envy 😂😂😂
Right. We got cars with older powertrains doing superior times. This is embarrassing for a multimillion dollar car with that power.
@@infiniteblaz3416 Sub 7 time would have been great but 7.05 is hardly embarrassing. It's power is overkill for the track and adds to it's weight but it's insane acceleration is it's main selling point. I'm sure with a few tweaks and better weather sub 7 times will be made. They had all the monitoring equipment on it so they'll be looking for improvements.
@@nicerides9224 I’m mainly looking at it from a performance per dollar standpoint. Most of the cars it falls behind on are in the six figure range which yes, it makes the Nevera an embarrassing car. Especially when you have the Viper being faster than it around the track and that thing is a manual.
Sound like a broken air conditioner.
Шутки про без десяти десять и пивасик были уже? 🧐

6:30.705 - Mercedes-AMG One
5:19.546 - Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo

919 evo is a race car.
amg one is a hybrid
rimac - a full-fledged street electric car with huge batteries under a ton
Balance? I don't see
First versions of title indicated that it was a Nordschleife record. So I put Porsche time to show they didn't beat overall record and Mercedes time to show they didn't even beat street legal car record.
And just to note, the AMG One did that Nurburgring lap in a damp track. In good weather conditions like these it would have even done 6.30 as the driver was somewhat holding back
