Star Wars is an American epic space opera multimedia franchise created by George Lucas, which began with the eponymous 1977 film and quickly became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon.
The Star Wars franchise depicts the adventures of characters "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away", in which humans and many species of aliens (often humanoid) co-exist with robots (typically referred to in the films as 'droids'), who may assist them in their daily routines; space travel between planets is common due to lightspeed hyperspace technology. The planets range from wealthy, planet-wide cities to deserts scarcely populated by primitive tribes. Virtually any Earth biome, along with many fictional ones, has its counterpart as a Star Wars planet which, in most cases, teem with sentient and non-sentient alien life. The franchise also makes use of other astronomical objects such as asteroid fields and nebulae. Spacecraft range from small starfighters, to huge capital ships such as the Star Destroyers, to space stations such as the moon-sized Death Stars. Telecommunication includes two-way audio and audiovisual screens, holographic projections, and HoloNet (internet counterpart).
The universe of Star Wars is generally similar to ours but its laws of physics are less strict allowing for more imaginative stories. One result of that is a mystical power known as the Force which is described in the original film as "an energy field created by all living things ... [that] binds the galaxy together". The field is depicted as a kind of pantheistic god. Through training and meditation, those whom "the Force is strong with" exhibit various superpowers (such as telekinesis, precognition, telepathy, and manipulation of physical energy). It is believed nothing is impossible for the Force. The mentioned powers are wielded by two major knightly orders at conflict with each other: the Jedi, peacekeepers of the Galactic Republic who act on the light side of the Force through non-attachment and arbitration, and the Sith, who use the dark side by manipulating fear and aggression. While Jedi Knights can be numerous, the Dark Lords of the Sith (or 'Darths') are intended to be limited to two: a master and their apprentice.
Force-wielders are very limited in numbers in comparison to the population. The Jedi and Sith prefer the use of a weapon called a lightsaber, a blade of plasma that can cut through virtually any surface and deflect energy bolts. The rest of the population, as well as renegades and soldiers, use plasma-powered blaster firearms. As a result of galaxy-scaled politics (involving republics, empires, kingdoms, alliances, etc.), all this weaponry is made use of in various military conflicts during which most Star Wars material takes place. In the outer reaches of the galaxy, crime syndicates such as the Hutt cartel are dominant. Bounty hunters are often employed by both gangsters and governments. Illicit activities include smuggling. - Фільми й анімація
do you think George was right when casting Hayden as Anakin?? Personally, Yes, without a doubt.
There is one person who I can think of who could have played Anakin Skywalker a bit better than Hayden....
It's me, because Hayden Christiansen was excellent, but he was acting that's the difference. I wouldn't be acting, I would take the role on and get the transformation/transition by drawing on my feelings from past negative past experiences mainly anger
@@dancooke8811Sure thing lil bro.
@@dancooke8811Feelings alone won't make the necessary performance
@@dancooke8811 stop bro you remind me of my cringe self in the past who also thought of this same shit
@@dancooke8811u really should of thought about what u was saying there before putting that comment up 😂u really wouldn’t of done a better job I very much doubt it
Hayden's portrayal as Anakin is so iconic, I can't imagine any other actor in the role. I'm glad that he is back in the new Star Wars series and that he is receiving the appreciation he deserves from the fans. He's a really good actor, plus his lightsaber skills are fantastic.
That he is. The only other person is Matt Lanter for me, but that’s in animation only
So why is the whole trilogy is so bad. Personally I think its George L fault, he's ideas are not always good but he still pushes he's thoughts on actors.
@@inio ?
@@iniohe’s supposed to and guess what? Those 6 will be the only good ones ever since Disney only cares about sabotage
@@iniostill better than the sequels 😂
Hayden did really well it’s easy to overlook cause of how well he fits in the movie
I completely agree. Same thing with Ewan as Obi-Wan. I feel like he is almost overlooked in some ways.
I love that Hayde felt he was being "Held Back". XD
lol
YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY POWER💢⁉️
George Lucas speaking to Hayden about Anakin's transformation and psyche, it's like a father speaking to his son.
I absolutely LOVE how George explains it to Hayden
Him being confused helps sell the whole confused kid thing
"Has that presence of the darkside in him😮😅"
Hayden is great and gorgeous
That he is
I mean i can see why he wanted to lean into the darkside part of his role he did it so well
People criticise George as a director and yes he is flawed but the notes he gives Hayden are genuinely pretty good here he’s not telling him how Anakin should feel he’s just giving context. By this video George is better director than writer.
Hayden is a right choice! He and Ewan is a perfect duo
Hayden got a very bad break in the I couldn't imagine anyone else playing Vader and Revenge of the Sith is my favorite Star Wars movie by far I love the original trilogy but Revenge of the Sith was the big crescendo for me.
I think whats interesting is Lucas purposely had him have what critics call a "wooden performance "
He was SUPPOSED to. He was copying the mannerisms of Vader.
And i meen he was a slave that became a monk... almost no interactions beyond a mission mindset most of his life.
Can't even imagine the direction ol' George was giving 😂
lmao
Tricksy precious
Yep
Star wars presents: the dark side
How the balance got settled or
A EMPIRE RISES
JUST IMAGINE!😱
I found the transition of Anakin to the darkside was way too sudden. I think they needed more of a catalyst at least one more movie to show it.
It was built into, but it wasn't well portrayed. The entire movie, Anakin is getting desperate to save Padme. And when Palpatine dangles that carrot, and then when Anakin wants to follow the law but the Jedi wanted to simply execute Palpatine, Anakin saw them all as evil hypocrites. So he chose the one that would save Padme.
Of course, rational people know that being zealous to execute a sith without a trial isn't the same as murdering children. But you know, it's not called a tragedy for no reason.
There are cut scenes that show more of palpatines grooming/brainwashing anakin against the jedi.
Hayden for President.
I dont like sand
🏜️
@@CantinaTalkSW it's rough and coarse and gets everywhere
The perfect pick for the role; he looked good and nailed that part, same as Ewan as Obi. The franchise misses George's input, imo.
They made anakin seem like some impudent whining teenager in the prequels. I never ever pictured him that way at all. They did the same with kylo. Made him seem like a sulking 20yo little brat!
Disney to their actors : Do whatever you want, but be inclusive and woke when doing it.
Shame George has never been good at dialouge. I wish Kasdan would have helped slthe screenwriting.
People say that but I think he did quite solid. Plus, he got to have people helping with screenwriting.
The more I watch scenes with Anakin and Padme, the more I'm convinced that he was subconsciously bending her will with the Force to fall in love with him. He's such a creep.
I'm sorry Haden, but I just can't agree. Same problem with the last trilogy and ol kylo...the bad guy needs to be a BAD guy!? After Vader and the emperor kind of bad guy?
This is the sign of a truly awful director of actors. Actors are creative people who work with emotions, you should never give them a full speech of what a character should be feeling, otherwise they will offer a plastic, robotic interpretation.
It was a pretty bad casting ngl
Very good casting
Presence of "the Dark Side to work with"?
What a LOAD OF HOLLYWOOD CRAP
