  • Sensory deprivation tanks, also known as isolation tanks or float tanks, are lightproof and soundproof tanks filled with water that's saturated with magnesium sulfate. Sensory deprivation tanks are designed to cut off nearly all external stimuli, leading to deep relaxation and a unique sensory experience. Without regular sensory input, the brain sometimes creates its own, which can lead to hallucinations. These can be visual, auditory, or tactile.
I've created this sensory deprivation tank simulation in order to try to replicate this experience for people who don't have the access to one nearby, or are unable to cover the expenses to use it. Buying your own can be costly (typically between $2000 and $30000), and each session costs $30 to $150 on average. I wanted to try to give people a glimpse of what it could be like, but mimicking something like this is very difficult to do accurately. I also wanted to experiment, and try new video production techniques to improve my skills.
Without the usual external stimuli, the mind begins to drift, similar to the moments right before sleep. One of the most immediate and noticeable effects is profound relaxation. It can help decrease cortisol levels, the body's primary stress hormone. Some people report improved clarity of thought or breakthroughs in personal or professional challenges. In the absence of external distractions, one can have profound insights, reflections, and even moments of epiphany. For people interested in meditation and mindfulness, this can be a game-changer.
To get the most out of this video, you should attempt to reduce stimulation to your other senses and reduce the likelihood of distractions as much as possible.
Sight: Turn off the lights, or wear an eye mask.
Touch: Get comfortable! Whether that's sitting in a comfortable position or ideally lying down.
Hearing: Turn off anything nearby that emits a sound. Headphones are recommended, but not required.
Smell: Ensure there are no smells that could distract you or light your favorite incense or candle.
Breathing: Deep breath in, hold it, and release. Steady, controlled breathing until you find your rhythm.
Taste: Hydrate yourself with water. This will reduce any stimulation to your tastebuds through dilution.
These suggestions are optional but recommended. However, if you can do all of these things, it will improve your experience. Enjoy! 🙏

My insomnia has been out of control lately. Last week was 48 hours awake, 5 hours sleep. 48 hours awake, 8 hours sleep. 36 hours awake, 5 hours sleep. I felt like I was dying slowly. I think I just slept for about 11 hours straight. Finally ❤

I feel your pain. Sometimes when I work a 48 hour week I might get 4 hours a night for 4 nights in a row. By the time the fourth shift is over I feel like I want to die. I just lay there, for hours sometimes. It's awful.

Hey trade ya I go month on 2 to 3 hours had a fun episode a few years ago 96 hours 0 sleep oh so fun. Now I just say hell with it take my couple hours if I can squeeze a nap all the better. I do admit though these low frequency sounds are the best at calming mind and body. Have mine set up on a speaker at head of bed high bass literally vibrates you to sleep.

At the end of 2018 I spent an hour in an actual isolation tank and it was quite a profound experience for me, including some interesting ''visions'' that I had. Listening to this sound really creates the same experience that I had in that tank. Thank you for creating this video!

What sort of visions did you have?

    • @LuciaKer
      @LuciaKer 7 місяців тому +113

@@user-jh8cx4jf7u The vision that felt most ''real'' was that I was lying on the ground and looking up at the sky. But it wasn't the usual sky. It looked like made of fabric that resembled a knitted sweater. Like an endless knitted fabric. At some point I saw a hole that formed in the fabric, at first it was small, then it started to get bigger. Another hole formed in a different place and it started getting bigger too. At first the process was slow and then this fabric started unraveling faster and faster until it was all gone. Then all I could see was dark space with lots of little sparks everywhere.

I always try to relive past traumas before bedtime as to trigger wild dreams. Then I wake up and feed my basement family and take it out on them, fulfilling the cycle righteously.
My point is people can develop many ways of relaxing before going to bed but you have to experiment and do what works best for you ultimately. Personally I find it very easy to go to sleep but waking up before I've injured myself or someone else can sometimes be a challenge with all the nightmares and unspeakable horrors whirling through the cold void of my subconscious. I much prefer being asleep to being awake though, the only time I ever truly feel at ease or free anymore is when I can't tell the difference but I'm sure most people feel like that all of the time.

This past summer, i floated on my back for 1.5 hours at a motel pool in southern oklahoma. The pool was not being used by anyone else and was situated at the back of the property near a woodsy area. It was during the heat dome, 104° . Most relaxing thing i ever experienced. I have to say i think i prefer the light hum of insects to manmade white noise if i could pick. I could "see" the sun through my eyelids but as my mind traveled i didn't notice it much. Who else is driven crazy by the jerk, just when you are drifting off? The body decides to jerk you awake, with a minor arm or leg jerk, but sometimes violently, when the whole body nearly jumps out of bed? In addition to all the external threats to one’s life that must be dealt with, one must fight one’s own body to get some rest. I can see this leading to some to finally give up. Let’s see the body jerk back to life after, ya know.

Dear folks this is your captain speaking. Buckle up and hold onto your snacks! We're about to give gravity a run for its money. And remember, if you happen to spot any stray UFOs, kindly let me know. Let's aim for a smooth touchdown, shall we? And for those of you who still have hopes of catching that connecting flight, let's just say... fingers crossed and prayers to the aviation gods! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the rollercoaster descent brought to you by your friendly neighborhood pilot.

@@AnthonySommer your music and chakras work so well for me. A power nap on heart chakra does wonders. Heras the difference for me that no one else does. Your tones are non stop no pausing but great fluctuations with stuff happening in background. That's huge with relaxing the soul

The foetus gently submerged in the floatation tank,
    No competition for ranking,
Cosmic energy that it was spiritually banking,
Feeling the warm embrace of the connectedness,
Sparks of the Divine glowing in its form,
Safe, comforted and cushioned from any impeding storm,
Being carressed with lightness and buoyancy, like a spiritual ship on still waters,
The first breath of life in these calming soothing waters.
