The moment when Emily and Charlie sing together was flawless. One of my new favorite musical moments.
That is always my favorite when 2 maybe 3 different voices merge so well like in this, the greatest showman "the otherside", or tangled the series "nothing left to lose"

Everyone talks about when Charlie and Emily harmonize but that short section where Emily finds out about the extermination and Charlie's "you didn't know?" means SO MUCH TO ME
Charlie thought the Exterminations were common knowledge like they are in Hell. That's been coloring her perception of every angel in Heaven. Now she finds out no one but Sera and the Exterminators knew.
I can't be the only one who got MAJOR Hamilton vibes off that section.

Emily's "I don't need your condescension" and "was talk of virtue just pretention?" are my favourite lines in the song, the singer put so much power into those lines.

Yeah if I remember correctly its one of the guys from The Living Tombstone that rights some of, if not all of the music. Which makes sense, that group is known for FNAF and a ton of nerdcore hits.
Love the many changes in this song as it shows the many perspectives of each individual; especially Emily changing her view to like Charlie
I still think Lute and Adam's small section is my favourite part of the entire song. It flows so well and the Hell is Forever guitar kicks in for them, it's so good.

both sections are integral to the song.

of course not, she doesn't hate angels, just thinks Adam and his protege are d*cks, and definetely gets along with Serenity who is very like her in nature. The other angel there but she is definetely hurt that Vaggie withheld that information from her. also, it's strange that she didn't offer to show Vaggie as a possible redeemable demon if she didn't know.
I'm guessing Charlie will be more upset over Vaggie not telling her then the reveal itself, but ultimately will forgive her, because it's Charlie. But the hard sell will be getting Vaggie to accept it.
I mean why would she care and why would this be a deal breaker? If anything it just a proof that angel and demon can somewhat co-exist.
Actually, Charlie is also an angel, the angel of redemption she's the in between she is both princess to hell and heaven ❤️ she's the change everyone needs have you adam forgotten that she is the granddaughter of God

Well I wouldn’t count her as an Angel really. Granted her dad is one, but her mother is still technically a demon. (Since she was a mortal who is now a demon). So she’s more of a half breed if anything. And I doubt she has any angelic powers at all.
Would she be a Nephilim? They're angel human hybrids. Lilith was the first woman, and Lucifer is a Fallen Angel. So would Charlie be a human angel hybrid type thing? It's confirmed that sinners can not reproduce in Hell. Lilith may be alive and just corrupted or something by hell. So she might be alive...
@@connorshover9572 in mythology lilith never died, and was cursed to be a demon, if they go by that logic, shes not a sinner since sinners have to die first, so charlie would be human, demon, and angle. and charlie means free man if translated
Charlie is part fallen angel part sinner technically. Well the child of the highest order of angel (fallen) but still and the most powerful demon(sinner) there is next to Lucifer.
After this episode I really want Angel Dust to make it to Heaven.
Also this is the angriest I’ve seen Charlie and I love it
Now finding out that Angel Dust only slaughtered people by being forced to by Valinto and not his own free will I want him in Heaven more than Adam.
Something I haven’t seen people talking about much is that Charlie’s demonic form is in seemingly full effect in parts here

This song points out that Sera, Lute, and Adam slaughtered trillions of more innocent lives than any ex-Angel like Vaggie, the Vees, Overlords, and demon in hell for that matter@@codebracker.
We also saw in helluva boss that the requirements to fall from heaven are borderline Draconian and beurocratic. Ends justify the means and neither nuance nor intention has any influence. And this then extends to the extermination, it doesn't break the rules despite how morally wrong it is and Sera clearly knows this but has also convinced herself through the system that it was necessary rather than deal with the reality of the situation.

I love the note of Emily's hair flaring up a little bit as she starts to slip into her true form. Since that's where they are naturally located on her.
Wow the voice actress at 0:52 is legit amazing. Like she could have an actual career as a lead singer in a rock band.
Sera isn't crazy, she's just a different kind of evil than Adam. She's the good-intended evil we see more often irl than in fiction.

I agree with what someone else I saw said. It's possible Sera felt guilt and regret during the first few exterminations but then over time started to enjoy them a little because that smile is not one of guilt or shame, it's a smile of pure evil.
I think em and Charlie are probably relatives from her dads side that’s why they mesh so well together.

I think he maybe is a demon. The demon in angel clothing. Lute taked off her mask, but Adam even ate with his mask on. Why he do that if wasn't for hiding his face? Maybe he commited a sin and his appearance changed to more devilish and he hide it?
I'm hoping the conclusion is Emily getting Heaven to reverse their policy and accept that Sinners can become worthy of redemption and entry into Heaven. Which by the same token means an Angel can become unworthy of remaining in Heaven, and Adam's ass gets kicked straight to Hell.

LMAO, Adam and Lute spend the whole episode in uniform, creepy masks and all, with Lute seemingly perpetually stained with blood (likely demons'), but we are supposed to believe that most other angels knew nothing of what the Exorcists do?
To be fair if they knew,they probably were told that Exorcists eliminate demons on Earth.

Exactly there are proably thousands of exorcists not one has spilled the beans? However are they even chosen? Are you recruited? Do you volunteer? The only reason the story did this is so the situation can be easily fixed. Because it’s not all of Heaven not even all of the angels are evil. No just a couple specific ones are evil.
@@et5216 I think I have a theory. So Sera said there's alot you don't know in the song. My guess is that the Exorcists and Adam answer to an Archangel. Their would be more like the gestapo for said Archangel with Adam being the proxy leader. Now we all know who the Archangel is, right?
To be fair, it seems the angels are living in paradise so I doubt they care if it isn't their problem

I’m calling it now, Vaggie gonna have a chance to take down either Lute or Adam. Probably Lute, she’s the one who took her eye and wings after all. But she’ll have Lute at the end of her spear and attempt to let it go. Then Lute will force her hand. I can just see it.

Interesting thing I realized rewatching “Hell is forever” after this is that Adam says the rules are black and white but here Sara says the rules aren’t written in ink. SO WHICH IS IT SARA!

Adam, Lute, and the rest of the Haters in Heaven blasting Angel Dust is just like the NFL analyst's who are blasting Brock Purdy! He checked all of the boxes to be NFL MVP just like Angel checked all of Adam's boxes, yet the haters are going to hate! Purdy is a lack luster fraud of a Franchise QB just like Angel Dust isn't worthy of a second chance to get into heaven! Well I hope both Brock Purdy, and Angel Dust both prove the doubters wrong! Purdy to win the SUPER BOWL, and Angel Dust Gets into Heaven!
The hole V being the angel is such a lackluster reveal..If it was established in the show that she lied about how she died as a human. Or if she lied about being born there. But because there was no buildup this reveal feels hollow
Remember even the Lords Prayer says Jesus descended into Hell to save Damned souls. Their own dogma proves Charlie is right.

What irks me about this while thing is there are so many angels there, probably all high ranking in the background...but they all just stay to be that...background. NOBODY speaks one word against one or another, nobody bats an eye about the extermination, nobody scolds Adam, nothing. They could have included some by-singers or just some lines spoken, like as how Charlie speaks a few lines trying to stop Adam when he is singing in the first episode.

...Jesus was the one who ostensibly introduced the idea of eternal punishment and reward after death. The Old Testament only ever refers to Sheol (an afterlife described much like an eternal dreamless sleep) and Gehenna (a literal place you can actually go and visit in Judea that is often mistaken for a punishment afterlife by modern Christians).
I'll fully acknowledge that Jesus was all for forgiveness and uplifting the sinner and downtrodden, but he rather clearly limited that to before the person died. To put it frankly, he'd be right along Sera, not happy about what Adam and Lute are doing but permitting it since the deceased already had their chance.

Now I was also raised on the idea of purgatory to make amends and forgive yourself rather than hell being a thing due to your life action too (hell is more for people that sold their soul to the devil and where monsters come from)

Charlie probably knew Vaggie was an angel all along, but didn't care at all. She saw someone in need, and helped them. Charlie doesn't strike me as the type to be afraid of an angel, even one who had killed her people at one point. Vaggie is clearly not that person anymore.

I don't think he is, I think it's his default form. The exterminators are likely the only ones that go down there and in order to keep their identities hidden they wear masks, which is why Lute didn't wear it for the most part in this clip

This song might be one of the hypest moments so far. It's basically a whole discussion in the form of a song and Adam & Lute's section goes hard as well as the Hell is Forever reprise.
My favorite part is that we finally have someone in heaven who believes in redemption, ever since I saw Emily's trading card months ago I had a feeling that someone that cute looking couldn’t be an antagonist.

What’s so hard to understand? She obviously doesn’t care about those living in hell, why should she? The whole system is stupid but she lives within it so why give a shit. Hell is mostly filled of deplorable people. Murderers, Criminals, Thief’s Dictators, warmongers. Sure do such actions deserve eternal punishment I don’t think so but that’s the world they live in.
So why should Angels allow Hell to become powerful and overpopulated? What is gained in that scenario.
@@et5216 At this point we don't actually know if all the people in hell are bad. The angels don't know what gets someone to heaven or hell. So, for all they know 80% of the "sinners" in hell could've been there for very petty reason or even self-defense. Based on this episode we can no longer say that everyone in hell is bad since we don't even know the rules of heaven and hell and what gets people sent to those places in this universe.

I think she'll be more angry that Vaggie lied tbh. The next episode is titled "Hello, Rosie", so I bet Alastor will take Charlie to meet Rosie to cheer her up and Vaggie will go meet Lucifer, the only other fallen angel, and ask for guidance - maybe she'll even get some angel powers of hers from him back in order to fight off the extermination in the finale. @MiaMia-gr5bg

@@WelshGiraffa the exterminators up until this year have never once died before, so nobody’s ever been strong enough to take their weapons from them and use them to fight back. Theyre the stars of Heaven’s army, not bottom tier trash lol. Vaggie is initially confident she could fight Alastor despite knowing his story (ofc he scares the shit out if her after, so) when they first meet in the pilot, and that she could easily handle the entire mafia with full on artillery attacking the hotel in Episode 5. Shes definitely not weak - getting her wings back would be awesome af
