- We challenged chefs of three different skill levels - amateur Bianca, home cook Daniel, and professional chef Saúl Montiel from Cantina Rooftop - to make us their take on a classic frittata. Once each level of chef had presented their creations, we asked expert food scientist Rose to explain the choices each made along the way. Which frittata will you be munching on next?

Please, when are they going to try each others food? I think we’ve waited long enough for that absolutely necessary update 😅
I have a feeling that the chef's are resisting this update as to avoid being disgusted by things like fake liquid eggs.

They most likely don't want to do that because they won't have anything nice to say, especially today. Bianca really needs some help as I don't think I've ever seen a level one look so terrible!
It might be super difficult to coordinate everyone to finish at the same time and have enough space to have everyone try each other’s dishes. Especially when you have more complicated dishes where some chefs might take more than a day to make their dish.

Yeah, just egg is not too bad. But don’t microwave your frittata! And I agree that her knife skills could use some improvement.
I do love seeing Bianca cook. I don't usually prefer her results, but she reminds me of how I was the first few years I was cooking! A bit of chaotic energy, a bit of horrifying everyone around her that knows what they're doing, but getting a result SHE loves. and at the end of the day that's most of what matters. The exception being her knife safety, I would love to see an episode of her getting those knife lessons, she's making me nervous. Getting cut's bad enough, but while cutting things like peppers? That STINGS. it took a little cut while cutting limes for me to really double down and make sure that NEVER happened again.
Honestly at this point, it might be better to get her a chopper until she has improved, she's gonna get HURT

I expected Daniel to be the one making the vegan frittata, not gonna lie. His looks amazing, though, I love the potatoes and onions.
Bianca reminds me of me when I season my ingredients. Hers looks a little flat, though, not sure I'd have used a microwave.
Saul made the best egg choice, hands down. Pasture raised are the best.
Frittata literally means "fried", and Bianca puts it in the microwave. Bianca is the new Emily. So guess what? There's hope!!

actually she's a bit bolder than beginner cooks that I've seen putting egg substitute in the microwave but I don't know many beginner cooks that would even attempt a frittata
