    Way to go! Great start! Heck, you may be on revision 3 by the time Rivian brings theirs out, if they do. Great concept and thanks for the wattage info on the induction. Glad to hear we can run both of them on a 4-ish setting. That should keep the beef bourguignon and garlic mashers warm for the second helping. 🙂 I'm thinking one way to stay motivated is to think about being first to market. And whatever direction you go from here, I would love to see you keep the end drawer. That is a 10 on the idea scale! Cheers, and have fun playing! 🙂

    So I was thinking about a version of a camp kitchen for the R1S. I didn't get the spare and there's a lot of room I could use there. I was imaging some sort of scissor lift that sits on the built in rails that would make it convenient for the inductive stove and drawers to stow into the spair space. Once out, it would make it flush from the split gate and roll forward. Honestly, that might be overcomplcating things as I could simply just throw a small inductive stove and cooking utensils in a portable bag and stow them in that space 😄. Great work. Keep it up.

      I thought the same. Lots of good space there. Keep the ideas going, that’s how we innovate.

    This is so cool. Love that you went out & got it done yourself. I’m wondering what lightweight yet rigid plastic drawers might get you vs. wood. Also on next iteration I feel like you could probably get away with a single, dual-sided center frame piece (vs. two extruded vertical frame pieces side-by-side), to save space. Wondering, could hollo frame pieces enclose a (carefully wrapped, protected) high-gauge wire for one single outlet extension cord to the gear tunnel outlet? Recommend you consider the Dometic Go faucet & Dometic Go containers, could be easier to refill & swap out an empty container with a refilled container, etc.

      Great rundown
      For the leg, I am thinking I will use a drywall/ cabinet helping hand (personally looking at the Task Tools T74505 29-1/2-Inch to 49-Inch Quick Support Rod, 29.5 - 49-Inch) (what length range is your current leg?)
      The idea is that it has a locking ratchet mechanism for quick deploy, a pivoting foot for storage and deployment stability, and is rated for 130lbs

    Hey man, are you still happy with your r1T? I have the max pack enhanced dual motor reservation. Is the bed size any issue for you to the size of the cab comfortable compared to larger truck cabs?

    • @evlander
      @evlander  Рік тому

      I’m very happy with my R1T. I’m not happy that my max pack quad got demoted to a dual so we will see. The cab is spacious. I have a family of four and even adults fit in the rear. It’s a touch larger than a Tacoma.

    Loving your creativity and design. You know we already follow each other so I do have some feedback./suggestions. The leg…have you thought about a thinner dual leg system to stabilize it more? Also have you thought about using something like a starboard marine grade material instead of wood? The wood looks really nice but it seems the build process is greater with laminating etc and a starboard material would be non corrosive from any elements. I’m completely interested in a purchase of your final product. Hit me on IG if you’d like to chat sometime. And keep these vids and ideas and products coming!

    • @evlander
      @evlander  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback. Yes starboard is definitely is on my list of material to explore. Would be cheaper and more durable against spills and weather.
