What a lesson. No chest pounding after this. He has obvious respect for life and the intestinal fortitude to go toe to toe with his attackers. Pray it doesn't happen to you.
Those who have been tested under fire seldom pound their chest, unlike the armchair quarterbacks and drugstore cowboys who talk like they would be Rambo if given the opportunity. I have observed the phenomenon of shrinking courage, and have personally been left standing alone when others should have been by my side. (I do not mean to imply that this happened in combat, although I did serve.) There certainly are bold and outspoken people who do rise to the occasion, but they seem to be the exception. Now consider this man: humble, reserved, and a force to be reckoned with when duty calls. You are so right when you say, "Pray it doesn't happen to you," and yet I expect you know and accept the responsibilities that you could someday face. In my foolish youth I wanted (but was spared) the ultimate conflict. Now I pray (literally and specifically) that I never have to take another man's life.
Thank you for your service sir, and thank you for sharing this event. I pray for The Lord’s blessings to help all involved in dealing with it. By sharing, there may be several lessons learned, such as 1) anti-gun people, what could’ve happened if you had your way? 2) those that cant see the value of human life, lots of people are affected when just 1 person looses their life, but the difference here is the preservation of life. 3) The more criminals that hear your story the better, maybe they’ll change their mind when they realize this could happen to them And many many other life lessons as well. Hopefully this goes viral because I think everyone in the USA could learn something from this accounting.
I am 70 and a gun owner. I am not a criminal but I am also smart enough to know that the chances are slim that I could defend myself against an attacker. For those of you against armed citizens, It seems like only yesterday that I was in my 20's. Every year will go twice as fast as the one before it. You too will be a senior citizen some day. Bad guys are sometimes stupid but they never play fairly.
His amazing sorrow and regret likely helped detectives see their way clear to letting him go easily, but his phone blurt, "I just shot two guys...." without explaining anything of why, reinforces the advice we hear Don't talk much to the police--just a rough outline, as, "That guy was going to kill us (or whatever)! And there's the evidence! And that person(s) is a/are witnesses! I will sign a statement/complaint and cooperate fully--BUT I do not wish to talk more until I contact my attorney." Something like that. Mas Ayoob gives exc. advice along that line.
Glad this gentleman is still with his wife. Gun laws didn't stop these vermin from their crimes. I don't know of any criminals looking to kill who are respectful of magazine or gun laws.
Not only that but they've already made up their mind to be okay with MURDER, a much more severe offense than breaking any "law" about magazine size. That's why we have laws against certain actions, not objects.
Yeah Reece, Ain’t that AMAZING - Criminals Don’t obey laws, wtf 🤷🏻♂️ 🤷🏾♂️ OK the rest of you goobers - be sorry for these two swine. Kill ‘em ALL & let God sort ‘em out! 👍🏼

God bless you sir. Very sorry you had to experience such a thing, but very thankful you had the proper tool to get the job done and protect yourself and your spouse.
You are correct to shoot till the threat is no more. There is no substitute for a combat mindset and perfect training. Drawing and moving off the X gives you an incredible advantage. Action always beats reaction and I have found criminals love to run their mouth...if you are talking, you aren't ready to fight. You should always look for an opportunity to act but that opportunity may never come and you have to act in a second. If you can quickly present your weapon while moving and accurately shoot...very few criminals stand a chance. Those are odds I am willing to bet my life on...the other choice is to depend on the mercy of the bad guys. That is never an option.
Good job buddy...a good man...he wasn't gone coward down to them punks....he man up to them and showed them no retreat...he took no prisoner's..he done exactly what was supposed to be done.....put them bad boys down so they don't hurt somebody else....
He should have walked out of the police station with his gun.... or a loaner (if his needed to be tested). Once it was determined that he was not involved in any wrong doing.
They will always keep it until the investigation is completed. I don't like to carry an expensive firearm for that reason. There's always a chance that it could "get lost" from the evidence lock up if Heaven forbid you ever had to use it for self defense. But you should own more than one pistol anyway.
Great job!! I would not call them gentleman sir, they were REALLY FAR from that!! I'm sorry you needed to use your firearm, but I am VERY glad that you did. Never blame yourself sir, you did NOTHING wrong! May God be with you sir.
Good job and you have nothing to be sorry about. Every good person needs to get the carry permit and carry every time you are awake and that is what I do. Every morning when I put my pants on my Sig Sauer P320C in 357sig or my Sig Sauer P938 in 9MM goes right in the holster and stays there until I go asleep at night.
Got to disagree with you.I think that few people are competent enough to be carrying a loaded gun in public.I don't know what the answer is,but I would be terrified if all the fools I run into daily, were armed.I mean, look at the mess this country is in,due to incompetent voters. Not to mention all the people driving, who shouldn't be.
@@JJ-yh9kf They already are armed. And the criminals are certainly armed. So what you are saying is you only fear that the most responsible and law abiding would be armed.. sure go with that.

@aerodog2 Your seemingly paranoid explanation doesn't hold water and there's no evidence that it does, except what you have read or constructed to be the truth. The Democrats and some Republicans feel that the following items (and others) will reduce deaths by gunfire: making stricter laws regarding the time period of waiting (so that a thorough background check can be completed), eliminating AR15s and the like so that these highly effective weapons are less likely to be used in mass killings, preventing those that appear to be dangerous and armed from using their weapons (legally obtained), applying the rules of gun purchasing to gun shows so to eliminate an easier way to obtain these weapons and more. I believe that, though these rules may have some effect, they are, for the most part, misinformed for many reasons: a large number of deaths by firearm is due to suicide and gang/drug related activities. The weapons have been either legally obtained (usually, well before the actual suicide and, therefore, outside the range of these well intended legal suggestions) or illegally obtained in which case mere laws most probably won't work as they haven't done so to date because criminals will be able to bypass them. Though some , and in a few districts many, Democrats (and some Republicans) want to confiscate or make it ridiculously difficult to legally obtain guns their reasons don't have to do with not allowing the public to protect itself from "big government" but, rather, from protecting oneself from criminals and other people with ill intent. I think the intent of reducing gun related criminal acts is something almost all of us could agree to, the question is HOW CAN THAT BE DONE without issuing more guns as the solution?
What a professional. Showing this to any people who tell me carrying a gun is paranoia. The interviewer annoyed me though. He didnt sounded like he cared.

This is what a real hero looks like. This is what a real hero sounds like. This is how a hero conducts himself. I’m glad he’s around.
Boarding house rule: Nobody gets seconds until everyone has had firsts.
The proper way to cover your ASP.
Vern Shein I disagree tbh. It worked out for him obviously but it’s easier and faster to double tap and make one transition than transition between each shot.
@@ufc990 I wish I owned an original ASP!
@@redacted4033 You're not the only person to have thought of that, but men who have misfired more rounds than you or I have shot have learned that doing things a certain way works best and they all use that exact same boarding house rules quote so it may behoove you to give it a thought. Bearing in mind that all rules have their exceptions.
@@DontCryAboutIt Thanks. i thought he was referring to the rare and collectible Smith & Wesson 39 conversions to the ASP. The precursor to the pistols like the S&W 3914, 3913 series.
You are a hero people like that have no value for life thank God you had a gun with you for protection your number one you are a hero don't ever forget it
What a lesson.

No this guy is a genuine badass. No shaved head, tatoos and a not a braggart.
Thank you for your service sir, and thank you for sharing this event. I pray for The Lord’s blessings to help all involved in dealing with it.
By sharing, there may be several lessons learned, such as
1) anti-gun people, what could’ve happened if you had your way?
2) those that cant see the value of human life, lots of people are affected when just 1 person looses their life, but the difference here is the preservation of life.
3) The more criminals that hear your story the better, maybe they’ll change their mind when they realize this could happen to them
And many many other life lessons as well.
If I had a son he would look just like this man !
Yep and say you want him ARRESTED. even if he is dead in a pool of blood.
Lesson learned: Shoot to kill to protect yourself and those you love.
Not flashing a full wallet while giving out your address is another takeaway.
@@WasabiWei He at least knows and understands his mistake. Others of course can learn from that.
Yeah Reece, Ain’t that AMAZING - Criminals Don’t obey laws, wtf 🤷🏻♂️ 🤷🏾♂️
OK the rest of you goobers - be sorry for these two swine.
Kill ‘em ALL & let God sort ‘em out! 👍🏼
Really a nice gentleman. Trying to make nice places for people to live and have a "pretty place". The diversionary tactic was pivotal but him talking about fixing things and just being a decent person really stands out to me. Godspeed.
God bless you 🙏. Find comfort in knowing your family loves you.
"Ouir society is going to the dogs" that's the truth, he did what had to be done, God bless you sir
Idk man, I'd rather be living in today's societies (while it certainly has it's problems) than the middle ages.
Here sits a man with heart & conviction , everyone who carries a weapon, especially a firearm should watch this interview . I have no doubt that it changed his life , but you did the right thing in preserving your life as well as your wifes . To the would be thieves ,\ criminals ,who may see this video , TAKE HEED "

God bless you sir. Very sorry you had to experience such a thing, but very thankful you had the proper tool to get the job done and protect yourself and your spouse.
WHAT A STORY & A HERO YOU DID THE RIGHT THING
Thank God You were prepared and saved You and Your wife’s life ! God be with You both !!!!
Drawing on a drawn gun is not the best idea but quick thinking save him and him wife. Nice shooting, shoot til the threat is stopped.
The rest of the world needs this! A nice gentleman who saved both of their lives !
Boarding house rule , everyone gets served then first person gets seconds
ThisnThatPackRat Amazing that even a few States have LAWS that comprise that much common sense 🤷🏻♂️

They already are armed. And the criminals are certainly armed. So what you are saying is you only fear that the most responsible and law abiding would be armed.. sure go with that.

" I would really feel bad if my wife were dead . " Why do government politicians won't to disarm good people ? I know why .
@aerodog2 why dont the democrat s just say" lets cut off there balls"
Because jews.
@@trsgringo Meaningless troll. Please, learn the benefits of silence.
To those dreamyeyed screwballs who think that the government acts in your best interest, why did they purchase over 2 billion rounds of ammunition?
