In almost every crime in GTA nowadays , there is a punjabi name, car thefts, murders, extortion, drug trafficking. most of the names are punjabi. One of my friend who lives in castlemore area (a very posh area ) of Brampton told me that every 3rd household in that area has some links with illegal drug trafficking and they made large houses, expensive cars and lots of other luxuries. This country, its institutions, its police , its judicial systems were not designed to handle all these things, thats why its now out of control.
Brampton, is not India its disgustingly Punjab. Brampton and Surrey are the most undesirable place to live in. Nothing more than an ethnic enclave.

Have a question about if there's a problem with international students that are not from India? I've seen a lot of comments of canadians living with them. But couldn't find another perspectives about people from other countries.
Overt racism against Punjabis is not justified. But, I think we need to agree that most of the Punjabis and by extension Indians don't mix well with the local Canadians. The person at the start smartly avoided talking how much truth is there in the racism by Canadians. But, I think we as Indians are responsible for atleast some part of it. The way many rules are broken or bent to suit ourselves brings shame to the Indian community. Leave Canadians, even Indians don't prefer staying in India communities because usually they are loud and break many rules without much of a thought. I might get a lot of hate for this comment but this is the truth I have seen staying in Brampton. Most of the Canadians stick to the rules and they hate seeing people who break so many rules. The amount of people who get driving licenses from backdoor is the highest in places in Brampton. It creates a problem even to Indians who follow rules and do everything legally.

I live in Brampton and work in toronto in a six figure tech job. Never understood the hate of Brampton. Been living for more than an year and wouldn't even consider living anywhere else. Great food, Tiffin service, amazing community and strong punjabi cultural presence while also having access to Toronto's job market. People who hate brampton are the ones who never lived there or are just jealous of punjabis.

Sometimes… it is better to LEAVE Canada once one gets the passport to avoid high living costs and crappy services (healthcare among others) and high taxes. It is sometimes a good idea to use the passport and experiences (make sure it is not from those survival jobs they lure to many immigrants) and use that elsewhere… to me, 3 years after living here, I knew I wouldn’t retire here nor buy a house here (not worth it)! Who wants to end up here anyway meeting expensive living costs (that won’t be covered by CPP and OA), loneliness, fake people, lousy transportation (compared to Europe) and crappy weather as well as INEFFICIENT HEALTHCARE!!!! You’ll end up poor, lonely, depressed and you will die early if you stay here… better leave this country and avoid ALL of the above!
