If new people are put in charge, the first thing they should do is get rid of this launch angle and exit velocity crap all the way from rookie league up through the MLB roster.
He announced that this year will be his final season as a president as a cardinals yipeee am I right since yadi wants a winning team and is pretty smart baseball player actually very smart baseball player so let’s get him as the president of the cardinals
He was here in PR, hes the owner of the Vaqueros de Bayamon team (basketball) He's selling the team now, so I believe he should be able to be at St Louis next season.
I think you are right about Molina and Bloom taking over would help reenergize the fan base. Liked to see the cardinals get a bopper someone like Anthony Santander to help the offense. Before every one says DeWitt is cutting payroll if Goldschmidt doesn't come back and they somehow can trade Mikolas even with them having to send cash to any team willing to pick him up. Getting those two off the books could offset a free agent signing.
It's probably highly unlikely but a trio of yadi as the coach Wainwright as the pitching coach and pujols as the hitting coach would be amazing. Probably would go to the world series thst year
Perfect to have Molina as manager. A masterstroke from ownership! That way they can still have a crappy team but then hey, Yadi is in the dugout! Fans will come!! The saviour has arrived!! Smoke and mirrors again from ownership!!
Do you think there's a path where both Molina and Marmol keep their jobs and Yadi's advisory role is basically applying the Cardinal Way back on all parts of the organization. He'll tell whoever POBO is on what staff they should have in the majors and minors, give Marmol some tips, the players some lessons and inspiration, and be more available for fan interaction. Having Yadi on for manager would limit his capability to reconstruct the organization as a whole back to perennial winning ways.
I don't believe Yadi should even consider being manager until a few things happen. 1) We actually make some changes from a FO standpoint. I'm not just going to say "Fire Mo," but his contract (at the VERY least) needs to run its course. 2. The management on-field needs a shakeup. I mean no disrespect to Turner Ward, but he better not be our hitting coach next year. I get that the players are the ones who ultimately get the job done (or fail to do so), but if they are not being guided right/strategically, then Ward is failing at his job. And 3) We need to see some talent not left to wither or worse, get squashed out. I've been very vocal about my lack of faith in guys like Gorman and Nootbaar (I said we should've traded them after the 2022 season when their value was at their highest), and now we're stuck with too many guys that either underperform or just can't seem to consistently keep producing. If I were in Yadi's shoes, until these three things happen, I wouldn't be back. Why tarnish my reputation because of systemic, organizational issues; issues that have been festering for around half a decade now?
Hey JD; Yeah, new infrastructure needs to happen, but what about the players? We know most of the players will be back next year. The only thing we can hope for is the players all have career years. That is not likely to happen! So that does not leave us with much hope because we know ownership is not going to go get top talent. I don’t care who the manager is, you have to have talent that performs well all year. If the players you have don’t perform what difference can the manager make?!! That’s why Herzog quit/retired. I hate to be a pessimist, but I don’t see this organization being relevant again until the infrastructure is built and is in well working operation for several years. If Yadi does become the manager at least it would make for a crowd pleaser until the organizational infrastructure begins to produce ball players like a well oiled machine! I’m just being as real as I can be. Until the Cardinals become a viable threat in the NL I would expect attendance to range from 15K to 25k game to game. Do we think ownership will go out and get viable talent with attendance like that?!! Maybe a clueless dreamer would! The Cardinals need a lot of things to go right to be relevant again “soon”!!
Born and raised in the lou and the Cardinals is and always will be my team. I am starting to feel like my team front office is acting like the Dallas cowboys what about the manager what about the Dallas cowboys coach all of it is the same thing they are taking advantage of us as fans because they know we already love our team and we will continue to support them so all they trying to do is get more 💰 they not even trying to win no more so disappointing. But when I get through saying all of that I am still born and raised in the lou. What up MO 🎉💯🙏
Hey are you FINALLY agreeing with me? Wasn't it me who said ST LOUIS WOULD look back at trading Tommy as a DISASTER! You disagreed. Fedde is exactly who I said he was an average to below average pitcher. Tommy is a offensive and defensive spark plug. It was the last stab in the back from MO-RON!
Right fielder needs to get better defensive and they need to try more small ball if your not hitting the best run hit and run teach all hitters to bunt
I'd like to see what a lot of current players could do with much improved infrastructure, coaching staff etc. Maybe I'm deluding myself, but I still believe at least some of the young guys have another gear they can kick it into.
It's true... If Bloom was running things and Yadi was manager, that would put butts back in the seats, at least until we see that the product on the field is still not good enough. Then all bets are off...
When Yadi still played,I hoped he'd come back as a manager. This would be the best case scenario to me. Yadi wouldn't put up with any bs and rid them of people that didn't play hard. Hopefully this will happen.
I can live with this year they were a competitive team they didn't lay down and get ran over hopefully they bring up some young players to get major league experience the rest of this year and preserve star players for next year maybe trade for Brent Rooker and solve the left fielder problem and wake the team bats up
I think the middle of the line up needing a big bat I think we have 2 players that could fill that role, Donovan and Burleson or Baker. Our young guys have held up well and deserve to stay. Don’t want Gorman back. Helsley should stay
I identified with Tommy, my fave. Switch hitting, versatile defensive wiz, smart smallball guy, could hit the best pitchers. I'm happy Tommy could move close to home.
18:19 “team leaders in Wilson Contreas and Nolan Arenado.” Awesome video as always JD! But Nolan Arenado has never considered himself a leader in the clubhouse. He has been very vocal about not wanting that role Goldschmidt as well. I hope we move past Goldy after this year. Let him finish where he started in Arizona I’m pretty sure they would pick him up. Then hopefully Nolan Arenado finally opts out of his contract. Tired of these guys clogging up roster space let the young guys play !
Spin it anyway you want, Oli’s percentage is 507. Doesn’t matter if they played a tough schedule earlier or later. Nobody gets to pick and choose for their final grade. I’m sure he will be back next year though. Front office will tell everyone that Yadi will be back to help just like they did this year so that they might sell a few more season tickets.
I understand the line of thinking with the front office changes and Yadi coming to the staff etc. I mostly agree, but I do not understand why we'd get rid of Oli right now. The first third of the season was players not doing what big league players are supposed to do. Their inability to hit is not Oli's fault. Also I can tell you exactly what will happen if we change managers (whether its Yadi or not). the players will have another slump. They'll play like ass and then what, we fire Yadi too, because the players aren't doing well? Why tarnish his first year or 2 when players aren't meeting expectations.
If Bloom takes over, I don’t see him doing a legacy hire. It’ll be a fresh face/new voice for manager. (All for a Pujols hire for hitting coach though)
I'm tired of b.s. talk. I won't believe anything until I see it. Clean house in front office and add good players. Stop patching . It's time to change. Past due time. I've been a STL fan for 63 years and have never been so tired of an existing team. We keep losing fanbase and you can see by the empty seats!
Hence had a injury prone year this year pages or Herrera trade one got that rookie catcher down there u mentioned goldy gone ,let Gorman and walker do it on there own
week after the deal for pham and fede was done i do not believe a prime Gibby and Steve Carlton could have made us division winners i really do not THATS how bad our offense is
If the Cardinals finish with a winning record this year and the ownership fired the manager, the only thing we would be consistent in is getting rid of managers with winning records would be three in a row that tells the next guy in line do your job above average and it still won't be good enough
I blame MO as well but lack of offensive production(strike outs & players left on base in scoring position) are the main reason the Cards are ass out if we won half the games we blew leads on after 6 innings we'd probably be 5 games up in the central, players have played the biggest role in losing & I despise MO & Ollie but Goldy & Nado & NoGo & Noot did not lead our team production wise like we all expected they were our core leaders WC had a couple of unfortunate injuries but actually hit the ball well, Burly hit good then kinda cooled off Winn hit ok for his first full year up his defensive play is Awesome he made a few mistakes but he will be ok & be the all star short stop next season. Front office let us down wasting money on Crawford it was good to see Marp back but after last years losing season we needed more than another reunion player I'm sure he helped the best he could in the clubhouse but front office let us down after a losing disappointing 2023 season We are the best fans even though we have spats & disagreements ultimately we just want our Cards to be a contender & not a mlb joke God Bless & Go Cards 2025
I love Yadi and definitely want to see him involved with the team but I feel like hiring him as manager straight away would be almost a gimmick. Just a good will move to try to bring fans back. I would like to see a more proven manager again. We’ve had enough of first year managers. Either way, while not ALL his fault, Oli has to go.
We are spoiled. Is this team all that worse than our World Series (gift) team of 2006? Or, is I just possible that this team is what it is because of the front office, which took over? The Dodgers get by with front office control because the billionaire geeks who own the Dodgers are multi-billionaires who demand control since they BUY the athletes at ridiculous prices. Give me a pitching coach like Duncan or a manager like Yadi who simply has all the computer knowledge stored in their brain! Ollie has go go.
Look at all the moves the Blues made trying to better the team! Cardinals need an ownership that isn’t afraid to open the checkbook! DeWitt is clueless!
Bring on Yadi, the baseball rainman! I guarantee he'll bring Albert on as his bench coach. Yadi will bring in a whole new coaching staff. We need it! But its gotta be Yadis way! None of the philosophical difference bullshit either!!!
I believe the Yadi signing was done solely to keep the “restless natives” quiet. Now if he comes on as manager, fine; if he doesn’t he should not be paid for being a ghost. Now if he should get the manager job, wouldn’t it be great to see Albert as a bench coach or genuine hitting coach? Maybe even see Chris Carpenter or Uncle Charlie as a real pitching coach? I know it’s a pipe dream, but it’s a good one…..that’s about all we got right now.
I don't see Pujols as being a very good coach. Front office/scouting "ambassador", something like that. Yadi needs to be named manager with full autonomy. 100 percent control between the lines; front office opinions are not welcomed.
Yea we need changes I believe all the way to the top. If the owners are not willing or cannot spend the money then they need to please sell this team to somebody who can and will do what it takes. With the same owners the new management will not be able to get it done. I understand not spending money with the idiots we have running this team at the moment makes sense. I have been Cardinal fan since The great Lou Brock was stealing all those bases and at this point I am embarrassed with what this team and organization has become. I hope not the first fan goes to a game until this mess is straightened out because i will not
Just because Yadi was an excellent catcher and had a high baseball IQ does not mean he would make a great manager. A lot of the instincts that Yadi had cannot be taught. I’m all for Skip or another proven manager. Still think nothing we change until 2026 at the earliest because that is when I believe the DeWitt family will sell the team. The old guy has nothing to prove and has had enough.
I would rather not see Yadier Molina come back to the organization as the manager, I would rather see him either as a bench coach and hire another person for the manager position! Because if he fails as a manager
A great catcher doesn't make a great Coach. Remember Ted Williams? Last guy to hit over .400 in a season. One of the all time best. Hall of Famer.......He was a terrible MLB Coach! As far as what happened to Molina not being around this season.....Maybe if the St Louis media had a set they'd find out? Ask the question? At the very least, see if he was on the payroll? But they only ask soft questions. Why......You're guess is as good as mine?
Randy is more of the same what has Bloom done that makes him bad. He got to two teams farm system back up and running with alot of talent. Boston said they would no resign Mookie so seems like he did a good job.
@@MariposaEdits In my opinion Randy is a players player, he understands the game from a players pov, that's what makes him so good at his job at knowing talent and organic development. U got business guys like MOZO an Bloom who are business guys at best. Why Flores, bc he's been here, he's proved himself, and he deserves the shot more than the outside guy.
No why would yadi want to be the manager in 2025.. This organization sucks. Major problems in the front office , roster . Sp stinks. Of stinks. Gm stinks. Manager stinks Owner stinks.
If I was in his position I wouldn't want any part of this team as long as the same old people are around. Only way a good coach will make a difference is if he has full control of the players in the dugout and is given what's needed to make a difference.
JD doesn't get to say that the cards need to move on from management nor the front office after how often he has defended them. And after all JDs defending of Oli and MO the last two years, why would anyone assume JD knows what's actually right for this team? He needs to wear his love for Oli and Mo like a scarlet letter.
Mo is that guy when he's told to return a stolen object from a store or he's going to Jail for life , oh his faney and job is on the line no wander he cares now!!! bs
Yadi was the heartbeat of this team....they DESPERATELY need his presence back in the dugout. This team could use his fire around again...they're a dying fish, freshly outta water...flopping around with no direction....we need Yadi to swoop in and save the day....
@@tonycomer1415 Sure, if you want to be one of the 15 people out of thousands upon thousands who would be disappointed that he became the manager or was in some way more involved with the team, by all means do so. You can do that.
Sorry but trade all vets yes that includes Gray Fedde Contreras Arenado Helsey start Pitching of Pallante Mikolas Matz Mcgreevy and someone else we win 60 to 70 games maybe and then in 26 we can see what we have and then spend some money all contracts will be gone
@BillDownton I don't think it would take much to improve the team. One move would be getting rid of Mikolas. When he started, it was pretty much an automatic loss. But getting rid of Gray, Pallante, and Helsley is the dumb part. I doubt they will bring Goldschmidt back next year. So with Mikolas and Lynn out of the rotation, that would be a big improvement right there. But I would be above trading players like Gorman, Walker, one of the catchers, or Noot for good young starting pitching. There's no need to trade all vets.
Enough with these old cards coming back! Fire Mo and everyone that hasn't produced winning pitching or getting paid millions and hasn't done shit. Let the young birds take the field and get a coach that has an aggressive approach to winning. Bama lost their legend coach, and their still dominant. So break this office apart and spend money and get minor league players that Mo didn't let play more than a week or 2. And who the hell is bloom guy, Boston got rid of his for a reason??? Right???
Bring Yadi in and in one swoop you’ve fixed the fans needs, the attendance needs, the coaching needs, and the moral needs.
I wish we could get another owner. One that lives in St. Louis.
Correct. DeWitt lives not far from me in Ohio.
Yes, but not the suburbs.
If new people are put in charge, the first thing they should do is get rid of this launch angle and exit velocity crap all the way from rookie league up through the MLB roster.
Yadi knows that the Cardinals need a Major change. Yet knows nothing will change until Mo' is gone.

I dnt like Bloom either. Boston fired himnfor a reason! Would much rather hv Randy Flores as the GM. We'll see
Randy is more of the same what has Bloom done that makes him bad.
Sp stinks.
Of stinks.
Gm stinks.
Manager stinks
Owner stinks.
Lol
If I was in his position I wouldn't want any part of this team as long as the same old people are around. Only way a good coach will make a difference is if he has full control of the players in the dugout and is given what's needed to make a difference.
Agree…for awhile too
JD doesn't get to say that the cards need to move on from management nor the front office after how often he has defended them. And after all JDs defending of Oli and MO the last two years, why would anyone assume JD knows what's actually right for this team? He needs to wear his love for Oli and Mo like a scarlet letter.
Yep....
Mo is that guy when he's told to return a stolen object from a store or he's going to Jail for life , oh his faney and job is on the line no wander he cares now!!! bs
They need new owners from stl and of course get rid of Mo...new owners should not be ohio wasps that see stl as a private jet stop
Yadi was the heartbeat of this team....they DESPERATELY need his presence back in the dugout. This team could use his fire around again...they're a dying fish, freshly outta water...flopping around with no direction....we need Yadi to swoop in and save the day....
Heartbeat??? His last season he was there less than 50% of the time. He was more concerned about his basketball team.
@@tonycomer1415 I'm talking about the 20 years he dedicated to the team my man...not 2022
@@Bacondive His last year was not his only year being away.
@@tonycomer1415 Sure, if you want to be one of the 15 people out of thousands upon thousands who would be disappointed that he became the manager or was in some way more involved with the team, by all means do so. You can do that.
@@Bacondive There is WAY more than 15 people.
He was nowhere to be seen this year. 👎goodbye yadi
Next year is definitely it, Change has to happen this OFF-SEASON I'm done with this BS
That's dumb, just really dumb
@@jw4302 sorry but the group that we have can't hit and everyone has been spooned feed that all our players are great when most aren't even average
@@jw4302 I just saying it going to be 26 or 27 before we might make a playoff run with the group by then we can see what the kids have or don't have
@@BillDownton We'll have to agree to disagree. You're a tear down and rebuild guy, I'm not.
Right???
Yadi is a magic man... except magic isn't real. Yadi is.
