Finally someone that actually understands the fundamental of fighting games. So many of these youtubers just posting continuous strings of 40 hit fake combos without any thought behind it on a dummy in training. What he is explaining is the fundamentals to building a foundation in this game otherwise you will end up skipping this and just going for knock up into supers and ultis like everyone else and that means you have to rely on constantly charging your ki. Yeah that works against most players because they are also desperately trying to get to sparking as well. However if you learn this and practice it you won’t have to crutch on sparking. You should be able to function at a high level without supers (imo) since they are a precious resource that you can trade for pressure and get off me / vanish wars which ultimately gives you more control and lets you set the pace of the battle. I never played an arena fighter in my life but I know that by controlling the pace and how the battle will be fought I don’t let the better players and more experienced do their game plan.
When you put constant pressure (the right way) against a better opponent they have to stop charging and start reacting. A lot of times they just want to fully charge and do their ultimate after a combo. Constant pressure is annoying. Constant pressure doesn’t mean spamming, it means thoughtful pressure that is measured and calculated. Not to mention because this is the poor mans fighting strategy, you will do better with lower cost DP characters and get the best out of them and increase their value. You can fill out a full roster of 5 and rely even less on gimmicks and one shot moves. Poor mans fighting strategy means more return on investment. Nickel and Dime the superior opponents and more powerful characters. That’s my two cents

Rolling crush is actually very useful when paired with heavy finish. If you get the heavy finish hit you can quickly string into rolling crush while they're still in the big stun animation from heavy finish so they can't block the rolling crush. Very good way to get their back from a front hit on characters that can do this
@@alexisc.7887 broly (super) rolling crush is square square triangle. And heavy finish is square triangle. It could be because of online. But they were able to block the rolling crush.
@@BlingoTTM I'm under the impression this only works if you charge your heavy finish to stun them the longest possible time. Which pose the following problem : I don't see a world where charging this works without the enemy canceling me with attacks or guarding and then it'll break his guard but not stun him. So I'd say while this tech works on paper it's not very realistic in pvp situation. I'd be happy if someone proves me wrong and tells me how to make it work tho
@BlingoTTM might also be due to DBS Broly having slow-ish jabs. If I remember correctly the first two square hits don't even combo from the front if the opponent just blocks, I'll try it when I get back home

I need help with the key blast cambo. I can get the ki blast to connect. But then i try to dash but im not fast enough. He is always up and blocking after the ki blasts no matter what i cant get his back in time
This is a stupid question but how do you cancel into a charged ki blast? it seems im doing it slow to where the opponent has time to guard so I cant combo
You have to hold the charged ki blast while inputting the step in attack. Then you let go of the charged ki blast while you do the step in attack. Might be awkward at first, but it's actually quite easy.
After the square combo, you can step in and hit low with square, then you can inmidietly do another square combo , step in and hit high square, then you can keep the combo further. Isnt that right?
This doesnt work for almost all of the cast. The only characters that can do this are kid buu, burter and ssj4 gogeta. Besides that only characters with paralyze ki blasts like slug, cooler or bojack can combo from the front.
Glad to hear that it helped you out. Sadly there aren't any guaranteed ways from what I've found so far so I didn't include it. You can always throw them after any smash attack but there's no guarantee that they won't vanish it
i cant get the timing down on the cell ki blast reset. do you mash dash after or delay it with forward movement? in training mode they block my dash attack from the front instead of hitting them in the back for the reset

Combos are really weird bc when i string a 50 hit combo on someone with videl and use my videl kick finale it does 500dmg. Almost makes it not worth using lol
That's not a smash attack, that's a lift strike. You do it by pressing up + triangle on standard controls. After hitting it you press x and you'll follow them like I did in the video
Okay you've answered the main "wtf ?" I had with the game. Now isn't it kinda shit that triangle combos have more possibility to be vanish forcing us to resort to mostly square which are less "stylish". Idk man this feels bad. I'm curious of others opinions on this topic guys what do you think Also the fact that breaking the guard doesn't allow you much more since ANYWAY the guy will guard zgzin if you try to triangle feels meh. I feel like triangle attacks should pass after I broke hist guard I mean eh he had to guard the right way you failed atleast get punished for that
I agree with this yea. I also think that getting guard broken should be way more punishing. Like I should have enough time to get to their back atleast and do a full combo or it should drain more ki from them.
What is the point of rolling hammer in this game? I mean if attacking from the front NOTHING works, why would you ever use rolling hammer to turn your opponent around?? They would just block it... The made defense in this game so strong that they completely killed the combo game.. it's a shame..
@@pantonpg you want to dragon dash followup and then immediately press rush attack 1 & 2 and then rolling hammer. It's pretty tight and it only works if you have rolling hammer on rush chain 1 & 2
@@elgnarfowo2678 so is very niche, 80% of characters who have rolling hammer will never use it. I mean they could use it from behind the back but it's pointless
Really appreciate this, however its near impossible to get a second square string cause at that point the enemy has already super countered me. Afterwards its just an endless cycle of z vanishes. Then its back to neutral and the same thing just repeats. Until the time runs out. And of course my oponent just plays 5 characters and he auto wins. idk man
Sorry to hear that. All I can say is even if you are sweating at the beginning, after some practice this is just gonna feel natural for you and you'll enjoy the game more. Regardless it's up to you at the end of the day.

Bro thanks for this. My friends are gonna hate me 😂
AKAZA GANG is back?
Very good video man thank you, you dont stream the game ?
No problem and atleast so far I don't have any plans to stream the game, but I'll have a few more guides coming out
Great video
Appreciated!
Yo bro whats the best way to contact you I def gotta get wit you in this game you on PC?
I seen that you hit me up on psn bro I'll respond later
@@SHADOW-PIERRE Bet
Does it work with all characters? I use Mid Goku a lot. I know obviously Hercule won’t work lmao
Do you do private lessons?
Lmao not right now, but if I see a lot of requests for this I might start doing them.
@@SHADOW-PIERRE definitely let me know lol I’m interested
Combos are really weird bc when i string a 50 hit combo on someone with videl and use my videl kick finale it does 500dmg. Almost makes it not worth using lol
Yea, that's the damage scaling kicking in. At that point you want to reset and then you can cash out damage again 👍🏻
how did you vanish after the smash attack at 13:06 ?
That's not a smash attack, that's a lift strike. You do it by pressing up + triangle on standard controls. After hitting it you press x and you'll follow them like I did in the video
@@SHADOW-PIERRE thanks bro
This works for against all characters except whis and UI
Okay you've answered the main "wtf ?" I had with the game. Now isn't it kinda shit that triangle combos have more possibility to be vanish forcing us to resort to mostly square which are less "stylish". Idk man this feels bad. I'm curious of others opinions on this topic guys what do you think
Also the fact that breaking the guard doesn't allow you much more since ANYWAY the guy will guard zgzin if you try to triangle feels meh.
You can use rolling hammer after a sonic sway
@@elgnarfowo2678 how?
@@pantonpg you want to dragon dash followup and then immediately press rush attack 1 & 2 and then rolling hammer.
It's pretty tight and it only works if you have rolling hammer on rush chain 1 & 2
@@elgnarfowo2678 so is very niche, 80% of characters who have rolling hammer will never use it. I mean they could use it from behind the back but it's pointless
If they’re guarding just vanish behind or grab. Usually they’re so focused on blocking and thinking what to do next they won’t tech the grab
Super countering is so hard
Now real question is Automatic or Semi-Auto? 😂
Really appreciate this, however its near impossible to get a second square string cause at that point the enemy has already super countered me. Afterwards its just an endless cycle of z vanishes. Then its back to neutral and the same thing just repeats. Until the time runs out. And of course my oponent just plays 5 characters and he auto wins. idk man
It's tough out here, but if you do win those super counter wars using the tech in this video you'll be able to atleast keep the combo going.
Bro why do you sound you are talking underwater 😂
LMAO I'm sorry. Moved out and haven't hooked up my pc yet so I had to use my headphones as a mic.
Why combo when you can just setup unblockables all day ?
Game is hot crap, learning combos is fun, but devs crippled this game with bad mechanics.
They need to take super counter out it ruins the game you can just mash it and break outa any combo
This is why I quit sparking zero, too many sweats
Sorry to hear that. All I can say is even if you are sweating at the beginning, after some practice this is just gonna feel natural for you and you'll enjoy the game more. Regardless it's up to you at the end of the day.
@@SHADOW-PIERRE I’m just kidding lol. I’m stuck at B rank tho💀
So boring… you just wanna mash x on peoples back? People try so hard and play so boring… no offense… just man…
You sound crazy
You suck
