Same!! 06 Corolla S w/ dent in the corner (slow hit in the parking lot) I was thinking a pot of hot water and press back into shape! ;) Have 400k miles on this 06 and she is not done yet!
That’s awesome miles. I use a heat gun to heat up from back side until I can feel ouch that’s getting hot heat I can feel from the painted side. I’ll put the bumper down on a blanket and holding the rest of it up with my hands I step on the dent and they always pop out amazingly well. Then I’ll heat any areas again where little fine tunes needed and use a skateboard wheel to roll around on the backside to smooth out these places till it’s good enough. Never perfect but gets to where you don’t really notice the dent any longer. Too cool. Today I get the bumper off. Some rusted screws were a challenge but pretty deep dent popped out great. Thanks for your comment !!
I have a dent in the rear bumper cover. If I take the 10 mm fastener off, pop it off the side clip. Would I be able to reach in a corner add pop the dent out?
@@jakeandcameron7022 tnx for the quick reply, so basically once I remove the bottom flares on both sides it'll look like the corolla le bumper then, tnx!
Great video...however I should mention/add that depending on the age and model of your Corolla, there may be more work required than shown here. For example, my 2008 CE has factory mud flaps/guards attached to the bumper so they have to be removed as well to reuse on the new skin. Secondly, many of those screws/clips you may find rusted so badly that it takes more time and more tools to get the job completed. All in all though, nice instructional.
@@danielfbej that was the easiest for me. just spray some pb blaster then use a trim removal tool to pull down the center circle. Then it pulls off by the base
Really gained my confidence on working on my car :)
That’s Awesome to hear, Thanks!
Thank you so much for being clear and concise! I looked at 3 other videos yet yours was the only one to go step by step. Cheers for Portland Oregon ❤️
Glad we could help!
Love the way you just threw the old bumper outta camera view lol
Thank you for video bud! helped me teach my brother in law how to swap his smashed bumper.
Awesome vid and nice instructions. Thank you. I’m now going to pull off my 06 Corolla rear bumper to heat gun a dent out of it.

Yeah, it will just have a couple small holes where the trim pieces attached
OK tnx!
Thank You helped me remove my 2006 corolla bumper
Tip: Buy the clip puller tool. Its only a few bucks and saves you having to replace the plastic tabs you destroy when using a screw driver and pliers.

Muy bien explicado
Thank dude
You forgot to mention the seals required for the top 4 bolts so the trunk doesn’t leak
Of course you don’t film the hardest parts (the clips by the mud flap)
For me it was the one near the exuast 3:32
