I have been chasing this problem down for a week and saw this repair vid. THANKS SO MUCH KEN as saved me from much aggravation! Great tech!! Can only guess why Ford would put a friggin connector right below where passengers go in and out plus where moisture collects is beyond me.
Thank you for posting this, I had the same problem got pulled over twice for it and I got it fixed thanks on my own thanks to your video. For the people reading these comments if you don’t have a solder if you can get wire connectors that crimp together that do the same thing
I Have a 2006 Ford Expedition. I’ve spent $500 in 3 days trying to fix my Running lights and license plate light. I have no running lights front or back , no dash lights no dome lights. I’ve had now 3 consecutive tickets, fix it tickets. $2679 in tickets. My next ticket is a $5 ,000 fine and 6 months in jail. Over this fucking light problem. This vehicle , the only one I own is worth less than the fines I have paid. I have to drive to get to work. I can’t afford another car , partly due to this issue. I try so hard , I’ve done everything I can think or some professional mechanic has thought of. Definitely trying this and cut the wire tape off. I’m at Witt’s end. I’ll never buy a ford again after this . Thank you 🙏 for posting this . I’ll try any fucking thing if it can possibly save someone’s life for hitting me because I have no lights.
@@joseespinosa4550 passenger side door underneath the fuse box remove plastic panel, a bunch of wires are wrapped in plastic with electrical tape, cut them open look for a purple/ white wire with a conector, mine was rusted and cut in half, i didn't had a problem finding it, good luck 👍
Valentin Herrera just found it thank you my cut off too I been looking for information for almost a month and I didn’t found anything till yesterday . Thank you again I safe a lot of money .
@@joseespinosa4550 my problem ended up being all the running lights weren't working and it was a melted tail light socket! On your truck was it just the rear not working? If so, (like in this video) this is most likely your problem
