I'm so glad to find others (non-British) appreciating British comedy. The lack of censorship gives shows like Graham's an advantage over American talk shows, and the fact that alcohol is allowed don't hurt a bit.
I lived in England for almost 8 years of my life… three years with my parents while my father (USAF) was stationed at RAF Alconbury & I was there 4.5 years stationed at RAF Alconbury with the USAF. I never saw the Graham Norton show but I do remember seeing Mr. Bean, Benny Hill, Are You Being Served, Good Neighbors, The Two Ronnies and so many other comedies! I absolutely love the Graham Norton show he always had the “A” and “”B” list of actors, actresses, music and others! I love the fact that they could cuss, drink alcohol and just be themselves! I absolutely loved it when Graham Norton would pick on Olly Murs!!

Since Graham's Friday night talk show starts at 10.35pm he is well into the watershed section of broadcasting. Channel 4, the station where Graham kicked off his TV career, is the place for really rude, swearing and more. They obey the watershed moment, but as soon as 9pm hits, their programming gets really hot and rude, with swearing not bleeped out.
