Contemporary, rustic chic. Is that a thing? It should be. Took a screenshot of the front porch. I love the styling, and as we contemplate how we’d like to improve our home, the front porch supports and style suits us well. Thank you for so many great ideas.
Love the open ceiling and the wood, feels like a modern back woods cabin. Nice flow from living dinning to kitchen. It would make a great first home or cabin retreat.
I'm pleased to see the place for hanging coats and removing footwear near the entry as well as the woodstove inserted in the fireplace. The kitchen has ample storage, and perhaps the cabinet adjacent to the laundry machines could be combined with it to allow side-by-side machines or a space for folding clothes. While perhaps reserved for HVAC/water equipment, the louvered closet near the secondary bedroom might also be used for laundry machines. Barn doors for a bedroom are not as private as conventional doors, and a freestanding tub is very awkward to use with a shower. With those details remedied, this is a good plan.

@@jaspertran8016 Over many, many years I've lived or stayed in a number of houses, and I know what works for me and what doesn't. My suggestions wouldn't appeal to everyone, and I tend to focus on function rather than form. I've noted that your plans have adopted some of the items I've mentioned in the past, and I will try to continue to be a helpful supporter in your rising career.
I love this house, except for a few changes, the laundry room…someone commented about dryer and washing machine being side by side, include a large sink for soaking, and some shelf’s or cabinets for further storage. I’m guessing the doors next to the washer and dryer in your plans holds a pantry, storage? but it is a lovely home,

This home reminds me of a ranch. I'd make it a little bigger to accommodate a bigger laundry room.
A house with 2 complete apartments would be interesting, with 2 separate entrance doors, for my son and me. He upstairs and I downstairs, my feet aren't the best anymore. It would be nice if you could design a house like that. Maybe I can give you some ideas and you can come up with something.
Love this! But would need more bookshelves. 3 things: the cabinet inside the front door would look better in wood. The white looks like a refrigerator, and is too much contrast. Since l don't like to be crowded, or bashed in the spine by the edge of the countertop, could you move the W/D to the other end of the cupboard? And a screened in porch, to escape moquitoes and flies would make it far more pleasant and usable.
Agree with bookshelves when you first enter being different color. White is too much for them, so color of wood would be gorgeous!
Am assuming screened in porch comment was referring to back porch? That would be really nice.
Moving washer and dryer to other end of cabinets would still butt-up to counters, if that was her issue. Where they are is farthest from living area and bedrooms, so would offer the most quiet.
Just my thoughts..... It is a beautiful design/house!!!!
