Starting my UA-cam channel, Angelo Nabalse Media | Ideas Worth Sharing, was like stepping into an entirely new world. Initially, it was a creative outlet, a way to share my thoughts, experiences, and the knowledge I had gathered. I was excited, passionate, and eager to see where this journey would take me. As I posted more content and began to gain subscribers, I felt a sense of accomplishment and validation-people were actually listening to what I had to say.
However, as my channel grew, so did the pressure I placed on myself. When I finally hit that milestone of 1,000 subscribers, what should have been a moment of celebration quickly turned into a source of stress. I became obsessed with numbers, constantly checking analytics, and comparing my progress to others in the same space. My priorities shifted from enjoying the creative process to meeting expectations I had set for myself-expectations that became increasingly unrealistic.
The burnout hit hard. The joy I once felt in creating content was overshadowed by the pressure to maintain momentum, to grow faster, to be better. I started to lose sight of why I began this journey in the first place. My passion turned into a burden, and I found myself questioning whether it was all worth it.
In the midst of this, I learned one of the most important lessons: to enjoy the process and stop comparing myself to others. I realized that my journey is my own, and that the true success lies not in the numbers, but in the impact I make, no matter how small. By focusing on what I love and embracing the ups and downs, I found my way back to the joy of creating. Now, I remind myself daily that it’s about the journey, not just the destination.
