Whenever Panditji plays, I find some uncanny resemblance with my memories of old songs, a typical Bengali film, literature, music world of Calcutta and suburbs, a refined, sensitive, creative, subtle environment filled with swaras, a nostalgia actually. "The last renaissance Bengali", I fully support the epithet by Pandit Prattyush Banerjee. Those Bengali evenings are encapsulated in this magical Zilha.
Pandit Buddhadeb Dasgupta's playing notes of Chhaya-Behag are flowing from ' Amritaloka ' and touch the listener's soul. Nobody can escape from this profound melody that he created through his instrument.
Nikhil Banerjee grew under the tutiledge of THE Same Guru, and both almostduring the same time, but unfortunately Nikhil never ever mentioned the name of his 1st Guru.
